As Craig was about to hug his friend, one of the guards suddenly stopped him. He looked confused.

"Sit down and talk to her. She is our Luna. It's forbidden for you to hug her or have any body contact with her. It's an order from the Alpha", the guard said as he came between them.

Aurora was so angry she clenched her fist tightly. That bastard!

"Okay, we won't hug or have any body contact. But can you please move outside? I need to talk to him, privately", Aurora said with a fake smile.

"Sorry, Luna.I can't…", the guard refused but was cut off by Aurora.

"You call me your Luna yet you are disobeying my order?", Aurora raised her voice in anger

"I…pardon me…but the Alpha strictly forbids it. But, I can stay at the farthest end of the room. That's the most I can do", the guard said as he bowed.

Aurora didn't want to make things difficult for the guard so she just nodded. She walked towards where Craig was sitting and sat opposite him. She observed him all over again to see if there's any sign of injury. But she saw none. Could it be that Jax…?

"Your face…how did it heal so fast? I saw blood all over your face some few minutes ago. You are a human not a werewolf. You can't heal that fast", Aurora asked looking at him.

"Oh that! It was just…I mean it's nothing really", Craig said. He wanted to say it was all an act but changed his words immediately he saw the warning glare from the guard. Phew!

"How can you say it's nothing? There was blood all over your face", Aurora persisted.

"What do you expect, Aurora, am in their custody", Craig said, trying to invade the question.

"Yes, I know. But I am not asking how you got the injuries. Am asking how the injuries suddenly disappeared", Aurora pressed on.

"Actually, it's like this. You know that you guys can heal quickly? So I think they used something like a cleanser containing some sort of healing properties. That's how I am able to heal faster anytime I am injured here", Craig quickly blabbered.

"Really? I have never…"

"Aurora, let's put that aside, okay?", Craig said pleadingly.

"Okay, Craig", Aurora finally sighed.

"Girl, I am sorry I ratted you out but I really didn't have a choice", Craig said in guilt", they had my brother".

Aurora was confused", Wait, one at a time. You ratted me out? How?".

"They abducted me at my apartment and beat me up thoroughly to give out your location. But I refused, until they threatened to kill my brother", Craig said.

"I never knew you had a brother", Aurora said in surprise.

"Yes, no one knows. My brother had been sickly from birth. My mother died while giving birth to him. Since neither I nor my father could care for him, the government took him. I visit him once or twice weekly", he explained.

"How old is he?"

"He is the same age as Maya", Craig said as his face was beaming with love.

Aurora saw how much Craig loves his brother. She would do the same for the sake of Maya or her mother. They are her world.

"You don't have to be sorry. Even if you told them I went to my pack, you can't be specific because you didn't know my pack. Unfortunately, bad luck seems to hover around me", Aurora said with a heavy heart.

"What do you mean?"

"You might be wondering how they got me, right?"

"Yes, they are really fast and…how did you end up being a Luna? I remember you saying Luna is the mate to an Alpha", Craig asked curiously.

"Unfortunately the man I stole his wallet is the alpha of my father's pack and…my mate", Aurora said.

"Ahhhh! Girl, you just hit the jackpot", Craig said trying hard to hide his excitement.

"Jackpot, you said? Like hell I did. That guy is a flirt. I hate everything about him", Aurora spat out.

"Uh? Flirt? Aren't mates supposed to be faithful to each other…I mean just like the story of your father and mother. Why is yours different?", Craig asked confused.

"I just met an asshole as a mate", Aurora replied.

"Say that again", a threatening voice sounded out behind them.

The little room was engulfed in a cold atmosphere as cold grip everyone. Time seems to freeze. Breathing seems difficult. The air that followed the person was overbearing. He was radiating angry vibes. The guards around held their head in agony. Even Aurora was so shocked that she couldn't utter a single word.

Craig almost fainted at the powerful presence of the man. He guessed this must be the Alpha. He tried to stand up but fell down as his knees suddenly turned into jelly. What kind of domineering presence is this? This man radiates power…and blood. He is not to be tempered with and above all, he looked like a fvcking demi god.

"I said repeat what you just said", Alpha Jax said as he looked at Aurora. Then he whispered into her ears", Say it and you will regret ever meeting me Aurora, I promise".

Aurora, who wanted to retort back, held back her words in an.ger. But deep down he rained curses on him.

Asshole! Jerk! Bastard! Flirt! That's what you are! An asshole and a stupid jerk!

"And you my darling are a mate to an asshole, a jerk, a flirt and a bastard", Alpha Jax mindlink her for the first time.

Aurora's eyes bulged out at the voice inside her head. How could he hear her thoughts? Alpha Jax was looking at her with a hidden smile. How is that possible?

"I think your five minutes are up. Let's go darling", Alpha Jax drew Aurora close to him. She shrieked back thinking he wanted to carry her again.

"I can walk. Don't carry me", she said as she shifted from him", Craig…I will come visit you".

Craig who was still in a shocking mode replied", Okay, sweetheart".

A sudden punch landed on his face as his brain resetted immediately. He suddenly remembered how jealous mates can be around their lovers. What had he done?

"That's just a warning. She's not your sweetheart or anything sweet to you. She is my mate. She is mine. Only I have the right to use those words on her", Alpha Jax said as he dragged Aurora along with him leaving a stupefied bleeding Craig behind.

At first Craig was happy for his friend but now, he became really worried. He can't leave her alone. He has to find a way to stay here.

Alpha Jax was still fuming when they got back to the mansion. He just led Aurora straight to his room without looking at anyone or talking to them.

Beta Rufus who wanted to speak to him, swallowed his words as he saw their Alpha dragging his mate behind him. Why do these two always seem to quarrel? He sighed as he waited patiently for his Alpha.

Alpha Jax closed the door with a bang before facing Aurora who didn't look scared at all. Rather she looked defiant. Such a tigress, Alpha Jax thought.

"Sweetheart, really?", He asked, moving closer to her.

"What's with you?", Aurora managed to ask.

"What's with me? Has he ever touched you or held you close or even kissed you like this?", Alpha Jax asked as he suddenly drew Aurora close to him.

He closed his mouth on hers as he played with her tongue. He explored every hidden part in Aurora's mouth. His hands began to travel to her bum. He squeezed it hard as he inhaled her fragrance. He removed one hand and moved it towards her breast, cupping one in his large palm. He squeezed it so hard that Aurora let out a muffled moan.

Aurora was surprised at how fast she always responded to his touch. She wanted him deep inside her. She was already wet..so wet that she held him tightly moaning in pleasure at his every touch.

That moan got him so riled up that he so much wanted to rip her clothes. He started removing her buttons hastily. His eyes travelled down to her body and then he saw the bandage.

That was when he remembered how she was hurt this morning. He stopped his actions.

He looked down at her leg and the anger inside him began to rise again. How dare Jasmine hurt his mate?

He looked at her deeply before leaving the room. He has to teach that girl a lesson.

Aurora watched as Alpha Jax left in the middle of kissing her. Why did he leave so suddenly? He looked very angry after seeing her injured leg. She has totally forgotten she was injured. The injuries must be healed already.

Her mind drifted back to Alpha Jax actions, could it be that he was going after his lover?
