Chapter 16: Chapter 16
Aurora looked angry but shook her head to keep Aliya off. That wolf always barges in and out of her head. Aurora wished she could teach her a lesson. That meddling wolf!
"She keeps talking like you. I wish I could give her to you, Craig", she said.
"What did she say?"Craig was curious.
"Nevermind her", she said downing another glass of beer.
"But seriously, Aurora. Why don't you stop this? You will surely get in trouble someday. Haven't you ever thought of embracing who you are?", Craig asked.
"Craig, I am Aurora. No one else. I won't be forced to become what I don't want to", she said, more like trying to convince herself.
"You can't change it. Even though you live among us, you are still a werewolf. You really can't change it, Rora", Craig emphasized.
"Do you believe I can smack you right now?", Aurora asked with a threatening look.
"That won't work on me, sweetheart. I will continue to tell you the truth", Craig said calmly.
"You don't know anything, Craig. I can never go back there. It reminds me of the people that claimed supremacy but watch as my father was murdered. I can never forget how he was butchered by those mafias…they killed him brutally", she said feeling agitated.
"Am sorry. I shouldn't have brought up old wounds", Craig apologized.
"It's not your fault but you should understand that anything that has to do with that wolf reminds me of who I really am and how I couldn't even save my father", Aurora said, she looked sad and distraught.
"You shouldn't blame yourself. It was never your fault. You can't do anything about it. Just live your life. Okay, Let's drop this topic", he said as he noticed her sad countenance.
"Yeah", Aurora agreed, looking away to avoid being seen with those teary eyes. She stretched her hand to collect another bottle of beer and gulped it down.
She can't afford to let herself down in such a place. She's too strong hearted to be seen shedding tears.
"Tears" she chuckled as the word sounded funny to her. It has been long she did that. The night her father was killed. That was the last time she shed a tear.
That night was the beginning of a new Aurora and she wouldn't let herself cry again. Nothing is worth her tears. None that she could think of.
Gulping down the last bear on her glass, she waved at the barman and requested for another bottle. She was going to drink as many bottles as she could, she already has enough money to pay for them.
"Get three more bottles" she said to the service boy who the barman sent to attend to her. The young boy nodded and walked away returning in a minute with her order, opening a bottle and pouring into her glass cup.
He filled up her glass cup and proceeded to fill up Craig's own but he declined saying he would do so on his one when he's done with the one he was taking.
The service boy nodded and walked away, the beer tray dangling in his hands.
Craig sighed as he looked at his friend. He could understand her stubbornness but he doesn't think it right blaming her wolf. It's indirectly blaming herself as they are both the same as he knows.
He had browsed about werewolves when Aurora told him she was one. Not that he hadn't heard of it before, he just doesn't think it exists and when he found out it does exists, he had to browse through the internet just to know more about them and also know if they needed some kinda special treatment but he found out they were pretty normal as humans just a slight difference.
It didn't change the love he had for his friend. Infact, he found it amazing to actually have a friend who was not a human but another creature. It made him feel superior.
He hated the fact that Aurora wasn't accepting who she was. He doesn't see anything bad in being a werewolf, it was cool and google made him actually wished he was one and here was his best friend rejecting hers, what he so wishes for.
He sighed and stared at his best friend who had replaced him with the beer. She was busy downing glass upon glass and he knew she was sad and trying to cover up.
An attitude she possesses, which he found intriguing. She was very good in hiding her emotions, something most people find difficult to do. Over the years he knew her, he had never seen a drop of tear in her eyes, not even a happy one.
He hated seeing her sad. He was really curious to see the wolf but he knows too well not to bring it up now, Aurora would chop off his head.
"Come, let's go. Just see the way you keep gulping down all the bottles of beer. I can't carry you if you end up drunk. You know you are heavy", Craig said with a grin as he held her up.
Aurora got up as she glared at him. Who is he calling heavy? She cranked her fist together as she threatened to hit him.
"Who are you calling heavy?"
"Uh! Baby, why would I call you that? You must have heard wrongly", Craig swiftly denied when he saw her raising her fist.
He practically ran out of the bar. Aurora had to hold back her laughter as she ran after him.
"Wait for me, you coward. You are all talks and no action. Are you even a man? Running just because of a lady's threat?, Tsk, tsk" Aurora cursed as she caught up to him
"Are you a lady? Did I just hear you call yourself a lady? Which part of you looked like a lady? Stop deceiving yourself man", Craig retorted maintaining a distance. He wouldn't want to be hit though. Aurora's fists are capable of making him sick for three days and he wouldn't want that.
"Blah! You are just jealous am stronger than you. You can't even compare to a woman more or less a man. Lazy bones", Aurora threw back at him laughing.
He joined in her laughter too. He was happy she was smiling again. He knows how much her father's death affects her emotions.
They walked around cracking jokes. Craig took her to a recreation center where they sat down in a swing. He had actually seen it when they were going for the drinks. It was getting darker and the stars were shining brightly.
Aurora looked up at the sky, a daunting smile on her face.
"Craig, you know, the night was just like this on the night of my turning. I never knew anything. No one explained to me or rather I refused to accept who I was", she said still staring at the stars as tears dropped.
"I hate myself Craig, I hate my kind. Where were they when my father was brutally killed? My father doesn't deserve to die"
"It's okay, you can cry all you want. You don't have to be so hard on yourself. I will always be here for you", Craig said as he consoled her.
"I will never go there, I don't wish to go there and I don't think I would ever.", Aurora muttered as she rested her head on Craig's shoulder.

BLOOD MOON PACK.
The people in the room became frozen with fear as they stared at the Alpha's face which was brimming with anger.
Who dares offend this god of death? They all wondered.
"I want you all to search every nook and cranny of that city. Get me that girl… alive. I want to torture her myself?", Jax roared in anger.
"Roger that, Alpha. We will definitely trace her and bring her to you", his beta said.
"All of you. Get out", he said as he tried to control his anger.
They all fled within a blink of an eye. Only his beta remained. He walked towards a winery and took out a glass with the wine. He poured some for himself and Jax
Actually he was quite surprised that Jax could have been robbed by a girl. What really happened? He was curious to find out. That girl must be very daring to pull a stunt like this.
Hmmm, his heart aches for the girl. He shuddered at the punishment Jax would melt out to the girl.
"What really happened?", Beta Rufus asked as he sat down on a stool.
"That girl took advantage of the gunshot to pick the wallet. I swear I will…arrrgh! Those documents are so damn important!", He gritted his teeth as he tried hard to control his temper.
"Don't worry, we will surely lock her down", Beta Rufus consoled him.
"I need a drink and… a hot chick. I need to cool myself before I do something drastic. Let's go to the pub", Jax got up as he took his jacket.
He needs to relieve his anger.
