Chapter 195: Chapter 195

Luna’s Point of view

Everyone was speaking softly, despite the fact that our trip was direct and swift. However, I observed Leilani was unsettled, and I had no idea why. Raymond and her were fine yesterday. Perhaps they ran into another problem, so that's how she felt once again. If she acted in this manner always, she would never be really happy. Apparently she really has to confront their issue since only Raymond and she will be harmed and suffer if the shadow they dread continues to haunt them.

"Adonis, you know I brought you to the sea because we both have a lot of heavy memories. There are enjoyable, terrible, and other experiences imaginable."

"Just like?"

"It's the same as when you crashed with a boat out at sea as a result of my persistence and you almost died. However, instead of blaming me for your hospitalization, you just laughed at me."  My smile grew bitter for him because, regardless of the fact that it has been a long time, I can't seem to wipe from my mind the fact that Adonis came dangerously close to avoiding me.

“Why? What have you done?"

"During my pregnancy with Athen, I experienced a craving for seafood and said that I wanted to eat it. Nevertheless, I was unaware that the waves were that powerful at the time. " I never mentioned to him that we were clueless that Athen was in my tummy before.

“Hmm.”

That was all he said before he became completely silent. Is my tale really so uninteresting? He didn't even say anything to me; he merely nodded his head in understanding. I wanted to tell him a lot more things, but he didn't appear to be interested in sharing them with me, and he was becoming irritated. Athen is already sleeping, so I'm out of ideas on what to talk about next.

I, too, was deafeningly quiet and didn't say anything further. I did nothing except tilt my head and shut my eyes. I wanted to tell him a lot of things so that he would remember me, but I didn't want to spark any memories with him, so I stopped myself from saying much. It's a pity if he doesn't remember me anymore and accidentally something will happen to him. But, just as I was about to fall asleep, I heard his voice say something.

"Tell me more about it when we go home."

My cheeks became flushed with embarrassment, and I couldn't keep my pulse from beating. Everything seemed to be a dream to me at the time. Adonis is definitely back.

*Clack*

Unbeknownst to me, I had fallen asleep and woke up to a loud noise. Immediately upon opening my eyes, I saw that the armed guys were sprinting towards us. My heart was racing since I was entirely ignorant of what was taking on.

"Ahhh..!" As soon as an armed man aimed a pistol at Raymond, Leilani let out a shriek that could be heard throughout the van. Raymond just lifted his hand and remained still. Adonis was the second person to be aimed by the gun. Athen, on the other hand, is fast asleep and so cannot see what is going on. I, on the other hand, was completely dazed and my forehead was dripping with sweat. I can not move.

A man opened Leilani's door and my door then forced me out. My pupils dilated as terror welled up in the pit of my stomach. Where will they take us? I turned to face Adonis, who was staring at me with a worried expression on his face since the armed guys were about to take us away from here. He would have moved if I hadn't shaken my head in fear that something dreadful may happen to him.

When the van of the armed men opened, I was not even mistaken as to who did it.

“You fucker! Why are you doing this ?!” Unfortunately, Leilani had already started speaking and was hitting Luke in the face, so I couldn't utter what I was going to say. The men swiftly apprehended her, and Luke couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"What do you think is the reason why I'm doing this?" Lifting Leilani's chin, he exited the vehicle and walked around the corner. He also glanced at me and grinned a naughty smile at me. "Two birds perched on a ledge. Doesn't it seem amusing?"

Leilani attempted to kick him, but she was unable to reach his face. " Whatever you're planning, put it on hold because I have no intention of playing with you!"

"Did someone tell you I was playing Leilani?  I'm only reclaiming something that was rightfully mine in the first place. It's okay with me if you won't come, the only problem is, are you really ready to accept that the man you're obsessed with will die for you?”

“I'm sorry, but you don't have a heart! Back then, my eyes were drawn to you, and I'm not sure why I chose you as my husband. If I had known you were a monster, I would have murdered you sooner," Leilani screamed, her teeth clenched in frustration.

“Aw. Unfortunately, my darling wife, you did not do it. You would not have had an issue now if you had. Perhaps this is what they mean about fate? You're not going to be able to escape out of my grip, Leilani. No matter how far you go, no matter how far you run, you will always return back to me. I guarantee it. Keep it in mind."

"If you only need Leilani, why do you need to involve me?" I joined their conversation and they turned to me at the same time. "And aren't you getting tired of Leilani?  Why don't you simply let her go and forget about her? Do you have a mental illness?"

"That's cold, Luna. I had hoped that we would be able to communicate well, but it seems that I am the only one who cares about you. You and Leilani are just like the same, going crazy for a guy."

"On top of that, you're completely insane." I couldn't help but tell him what I had to say.

"Let's see whether you can continue to say that after you're trapped in my room." He grinned and then regarded his subordinates. "Get them!"
