Chapter 194: Chapter 194

Luna's Point of view

It feels like just yesterday that we were just getting ready to go to the beach, and now we are on our way home. The high rate of pace served to pass the time. Perhaps tomorrow Athen will become famous and she will be forced to get married. I'm hoping that the season doesn't go by too fast since I want to spend as much time as possible with Adonis and Athena. I want to make the most of every moment I have with them. Or maybe I simply want him to remain with me till I'm no longer a part of this universe.

While I was putting our things in order, I saw Adonis and Athen getting dressed and getting ready for our come back. When I saw Adonis attempting to take a suitcase, I rushed up to him and seized it from him. I could see he was taken aback by what I had done.

“I'm going to take care of it. You go first in the van, and I'll follow right after you." After seeing my smile, he moved his gaze from my face to the place where the luggage was placed. He is still afraid to leave the suitcase with me, given the fact that I have two. I don't want to order Raymond since I didn't ask Leilani and him here to order, but rather to relax and enjoy themselves.

"Are you sure you want to do this-?" Despite the fact that he had completed his request, he was flabbergasted when I immediately shoved him out of the room. I took Athen and gave him to Adonis.

"First and foremost, get in the vehicle. Goodbye!" I slammed the door shut and didn't bother to listen to what he had to say next.

After that, I went back to cleaning the room while keeping my heart thumping hard. The idea that he's around makes me feel as if something is melting within my chest. This is not my current state. So, what's the deal?

My heart used to beat faster every time he was in the room with me, I mean... So what else is new there? The feeling is that my heart may burst at any time.

When I finished cleaning up, I started to roll my eyes in case I had forgotten anything, but everything was spotless. I felt relieved. If I were the only one who could choose, I would just want to live here in peace and quiet, away from the bustle of the city. I want us to move here because it's a nice, relaxed environment, and I know he will remember me right away. However, if we return to his mansion, I have a strong worry that he would return to Jessica, even if he hasn't fully recovered his memories from the past. I worried about what would happen if he suddenly abandoned me and chose to be Jessica. What I can't bear is the thought of him marrying someone else.

I ignored everything I could think and then left. I saw that I was the only one who was waiting and Raymond quickly rushed outside to get the two pieces of luggage I had in my hands, but I only handed him one.

"Ma'am Luna, you should have notified me that you had brought a lot; I should not have waited for you in the van and instead should have gone right to you." I had to give up a piece of baggage since I couldn't carry it any longer due to exhaustion from dragging it.

"You're going to be driving, so I want you and Leilani to get some rest before we go on the road." I intentionally bumped into him. "How did it go, did you and Leilani like it?"

I became aware of the redness on his face as a result of what I did. He dropped his head and rubbed the back of his neck because I observed that  section of his neck was also quite red.

"Thank you so much, Ma'am Luna, for your help. Our opportunity to relax and spend quality time together would be impossible if it weren't for you."  As if his eyes were piercing the vehicle and he could see Leilani's face on the other side, he turned to face the van again.

"It's all right. I didn't do it for you or Leilani; instead, I did it under the pretense that Adonis would remember me as well. Perhaps, when I take him to the sea, he will recall me, since you are aware that we are always in Zhejiang. It all began on the high seas. I'm hoping he remembers me this time." I exchanged a wounded smile with him.

"And how about you, Raymond?  What do you and Leilani have in mind for the future of your relationship? You are aware of the difficulties you may encounter, and you cannot just run and run." I was the first to stop walking because I didn't want Leilani to overhear what we were discussing with one other.

"I'm not sure yet, Ma'am Luna," he paused. "I want to inform Leilani about all of my concerns and tell her that I'm prepared to face whatever comes my way, but she doesn't seem ready for me to accompany her just yet." He looked at me, smiled, and then sighed. "However, if that's what she wants, that's OK with me. Likewise, I'll wait for her until she's completely ready. Still, I'm concerned that we may be running out of time."

My hand moved on its own, and I tried to grab his hand. I'm acquainted with the terror he's experiencing since I've experienced it myself. I was fully aware of his trepidation, but I was at a loss for what to say to him about it. I simply want to be of support to him since he believes he is on his own in their relationship.

“Raymond—”

A hand wrapped around my waist as I was ready to say something. When I looked back, I noticed Adonis staring directly at Raymond, and he had already taken my hand that was holding Raymond.  Because of what he did, I had a crease in my brows.

“Are you done talking? Once you're finished, let's hop inside the vehicle." His voice was chilly as he pulled his hand away from my waist and walked away with our baggage in tow. Because of Adonis' action, Raymond and I both stared at each other, but Raymond just grinned at me and shrugged.

What was it, exactly?

As we climbed inside the vehicle, Adonis remained quiet as he closed his eyes. Leilani was merely taking a quick glance outdoors and to the side of Raymond. I could see that Leilani was simply staring out the window and that she seemed to be deep in thought.
