Chapter 159: Chapter 159

Third Person’s POV

The sky was dark even in the morning. The wind hits Leilani's hair as she watches the dancing flowers. She had stayed in this house for almost a month but she still didn't know the news about Luke.

She knew she also needed to deal with all of her problems. Sooner or later she needs to get out of this house no matter how much she wants to just shut up here. She can't escape her responsibility to Luke as his wife and she can't even accept whatever kind of feelings she has for Raymond.

As she was about to leave the garden cabin, she felt the rain falling. She caught the raindrops in her palms but also quickly lost the water that fell on her. She saw a foot standing in front of her.

When she looked up, she saw Raymond staring deeply at her while holding an umbrella. She smiled bitterly to herself and she just wanted to stop Raymond from doing everything he could for her. She doesn’t want to get used to its presence because she’s afraid that when it’s gone, she won’t be able to cope.

She lowered her hand and was ready to leave when Raymond touched her arm. Leilani looked at the warm hand holding her and gave the man's hand a cold stare.

Raymond's mouth tightened when he saw how differently Leilani had treated him. He thought it was very different from yesterday when he gave her a flower.

"What?" Leilani asked him coldly as she removed his hand.

His body felt like there was electricity so she didn't stop Leilani. He also didn't know what to say to the woman. All he wanted was to talk to her for a little while.

He remained silent, he was looking for the right word to say the reason why he was actually looking for Leilani. Even he, did not know the reason.

When he couldn't answer, Leilani turned and stepped away from Raymond. As she walked away, that was the first time he felt pain in his heart. He wanted to chase Leilani but he did nothing but watch her go away.

Leilani had already entered but she could not explain the regret her heart felt. She didn’t want to leave but she knew she had no other choice but to walk away. She thought, she needed to train herself to walk with people she thought would give her happiness.

After that, she was already going up the stairs. As she was stepping, she saw Athen playing on the stairs.

Fearing she would fall, she walked quickly towards the child.

“Athens! What are you doing here?! You might fall!" Her heart was beating fast .. She looked up to see if Luna was watching her but she didn't see anyone else.

"I'm playing because I'm bored." Athen shrugged while Leilani felt a little irritated with Luna.

She lifted the astonished Athen down to bring it to a safer spot.

"What?" Athen asked.

"Where's your mommy?" There was a hint of irritation in Leilani's voice. She thinks about how Luna thought of leaving Athen alone.

"Probably sleeping." Athen shrugged and continued playing.

Leilani watched her for a moment before deciding to climb. “Athen, stay here. Don't touch anything, especially the electricity.”

Athen just nodded, not looking at her anymore. Leilanni promptly marched upstairs to Luna's room. She knew that she was not in a position to preach because even she had flaws as a person. Nevertheless, she could not bear to see the house not so noisy that even though she had not lived much here, she got used to it.

When she came to the front door, she slammed Luna's door.

“Luna! Open the door!”

Luna didn't go out all day, since last night when she got home, she never left her room. In fact, Athen even went to her room to help the child take a bath. Leilani has no problem with such a thing because she is also used to being with Athen and taking care of her.

"Luna!" She tried again to bang hard on the door but still no one answered. "Luna! Whatever you're feeling you can talk to us! We want to help you!"

Leilani is weak and hopeless that she can still talk to Luna because she knows that she is grieving now. She knew what Luna needed now was space to accept the truth.

However ...

They can't just wait for the time to heal her. She needs to build herself up right away because she has a child waiting for her to get well.

*creak*

When Leilani heard the door open, she instantly looked up.

And she was able to cover her mouth with her palm when she saw Luna's face. Eyebags under the eyes, pale lips and messy hair.

Luna walked back to her bed and left the door open for Leilani to enter.

Surprised while Leilani was still stunned. She didn't get back to herself immediately because of how she saw Luna's situation.

But two minutes later, she returned to her court. She felt the cold of the room because of the aircon on.

When she looked at the bed, she saw that Luna was covered with a blanket again while the room was dark. The window was closed and she did not expect to enter any other day.

"Luna." She calls the woman.

Luna did not answer and remained silent. Leilani gave a disappointed sigh and removed the blanket that covered Luna's body.

She saw Luna who was just stunned while her sparrow was still conscious.

"How long do you plan to stay like that?" Leilani couldn't help but be harsh.

She just wanted to bang herself on the wall when she heard Luna's answer.

"Until he can come back."
