Chapter 157: Chapter 157

Luna was going down from the yacht to the harbor with the three people. There is no denying that Luna is already feeling overwhelmed.

The first was that she did not know how to tell Athen everything. The second is about the mansion. And the latest is about Adonis’ uncle Hernan. But she knew that no matter how much the problem tested her, she could not give up.

She had been through so much, she knew it was just one of the trials the Lord had given her again.

When she saw the car, she walked ahead because she felt that if she stood for a long time, she would give up her foot.

*****

She didn't know how they got home, all she knew was that their car was about to enter the mansion.

However, she sat up straight when she saw who was waiting at the door. She looked at the old woman who next to her was sound asleep because of the length of the trip they had made. Her palm became moist when she saw Hernan sitting in a wheelchair while looking straight at the car as if he could her see inside.

"Don't worry." She heard Mark's words so she turned to the man.

Even if Mark said that, she knew that the two men could do nothing when the old man wanted to evict her from the mansion.

As the car got closer it was as if her heart was going to be removed from her because of the force of its impact.

When the car finally stopped, Luna spoke. “… Don't let Estella get out of the car first. Don't go down, I'll take care of everything.”

"But Ma'am"

"Miss Luna…"

At the same time the two spoke in concern for her. She gave the two men a sweet smile. She didn't know if she had any courage left because she had used up all her energy because of so much going on.

She opened the door and went down. She was still far away when she could see how Hernan's jaw locked. There’s really no denying how much Adonis and him look alike. If she just didn't know the two, she would surely think it was Adonis' father.

The nurse also left behind the man. Luna noticed that Hernan's eyes were red. She swallowed up in succession. Her every step weighed down. She can't decide if she would take another step.

In the end, she step forward because she knew that was what she needed. She had to face the wrath of Adonis' uncle.

Luna Point of view

When I saw how Uncle Hernan's eyes were glaring, I just wanted to step back, I don't think my heart would be able to cope if he said something hurtful to me again.

I stopped in front of him. The two of us were only three steps away.

"When longer you make me like a fool?"

I was surprised by what he uttered. My palm also grew cold and chilly sweat condensed on my forehead. What does he mean? I didn’t understand anything he was saying.

Because fear is already ahead of me so maybe that's the reason I can't process anything.

I did not speak.

"When do you plan to tell me that Adonis has died?!"

"He's not dead yet!" I also couldn't help but cry when his every word entered my ears. I want to believe that Adonis is still alive but everyone around me says nothing but that he is dead! I wouldn’t believe it until I had seen him no longer breathing right in front of my eyes.

“I don’t know what Adonis liked about someone like you! Your family ruined his life! You are the reason why it was so hard for him to be happy!” Hernan is already shouting at me. His teeth chattered but I just averted my gaze.

I was not surprised by what I found out but it was surprising to hear it from the mouth of the person who witnessed the suffering Adonis experienced.

"Daddy is dead."

I thought nothing would make my heart more nervous and frightened but I was wrong when I heard the voice of the last person I wanted to know about what was happening.

Uncle Hernan and I once turned to Athen while Leilani was behind her with a troubled expression as well.

"No ---"

I couldn't finish what I was about to say when Athens suddenly ran inside. Leilani followed her.

I looked at the man in the wheelchair and gave him an apologetic look.

I never thought why he didn’t minention about the mansion or anything about Adonis' wealth.

I quickly looked for Athen in the living room but she was not there. I gave a look to the television where I found out the news and I couldn’t help but be sad. I don't want to discover the next news about the missing. I may not be able to cope with the next thing I hear.

I immediately ran up to the second floor. As soon as I stepped into the hallway I saw Leilani standing outside the door where our room was.

Leilani turned to me. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you had arrived and you had a visitor."

I wondered to what she said. Uncle Hernan didn't come in here?

Even though that question bothered me, I didn't force myself to pay attention. I smiled sadly at Leilani. I know she has a lot to ask but I don't think I'm ready to answer anything else.

“I'll take care of her. You can rest, I know it's tiring to take care of my daughter. Thank you.”

She nodded at me and left to go back to her room.

I waited for Leilani to enter her room before I decided to go to Athen.

"Athen?"

On my first call no one answered so I bit my lip hard. I don't know if she's mad at me because I didn't tell her the truth or because she's also sad about what she found out.

“Athen? Let mommy in, please.” I leaned my forehead against the door and closed my eyes. I was so tire, I no have the strength to talk with the child but I had no choice.

When I stopped speaking, I was so grateful that the door opened.

I saw Athen's depressed eyes.
