Chapter 155: Chapter 155
Luna went out the door to look for Raymond and especially Mark. She knew Mark was mad at her because she was forcing what she wanted.
Now that she knows what Apo Tilo and Sasha saw, she thinks that's reason enough for them to come back first. Luna thought that she needed to be with her daughter now because of what was happening to them—not Adonis by their sides.
Luna realized that because of what Estella said, it sinks into her that she is not allowed to spend all her time and energy in finding Adonis because she can ask others for help.
But despite all her doubts, she still chose to stay positive. She also thought that in case it was true that Adonis was not alive, he would have to get up.
Luna decided to give Adonis a good burial even though it was all against her heart. She didn't know how she was going to go on without Adonis yet beside her.
When tears began to form in her eyes again, she looked up and glanced at the bright sky.
"Give me a way to find the truth and what to believe, Adonis." She whispers to heaven and hopes that there is Adonis who will hug her back and tell her that everything will be fine too.
She walked again to invite Mark and Raymond to come home, she was sure that those two did not sleep well.
As she walks, she still doesn’t lose the weight she feels. For her it would be a long time to accept that she would never see Adonis again. She turned her head and did not expect the tanned tulips in the most secluded part of the thick grass.
Luna stride there and wondered what she would do with that flower. In case someone saw her, she thought she would just buy them.
When she touched the flowers, she couldn’t help but sit up. She pulled them out and thought she was like a child because her tears were dripping again.
She couldn't count how many times she had cried from yesterday until now. She thought that if crying was just deadly, maybe she wasn't breathing anymore.
She hugged the flower tightly.
“Please, if you are there, let me know that Athen and I will be fine too. If you're there... come back.” It was as if she was not on her own because she had talked to herself several times.
Luna wiped away her tears. She took a deep breath and adjusted herself. She thought that nothing would happen if she continued to cry.
Luna walked to the sea, she turned her back to see if anyone saw her pulling out the flowers but she didn't see anyone.
When she reached the shore, she sat on the sand and soaked her foot in the water. She let go and the wave returned to her.
"I know you'll come back to me." She smiled at the sea and placed a flower when the water came.
The flower was swept away and carried away. She did the same with the next few flowers.
With only a flower left in her hand, she stood up and fixed the dress that Estella had lent her.
She didn't know if it was just a coincidence because when she bent down to put the last flower in the wave, the blow of the water and wind intensified.
The flower quickly disappeared and the water carried it away. She never saw them again. Although the pain she was feeling did not go away, the ache somehow disappeared.
"Goodbye."
Luna turned her back on the ocean and right in front of her, she saw the faces of Adonis' two guards. She knew that if it was hard for her to free Adonis, it would be even more painful for the two friends who has been with Adonis for how man years. Adonis had leaned on them since then.
Mark averted his gaze but Raymond gave a sad smile. The two were also holding strange flowers that she had just seen. It is red but not roses.
Luna didn't speak and she just walked to get past the two. She wanted to give the two a chance to say goodbye to their friend — not as a boss but as a family that also sympathized with Adonis back then.
When Luna left, the two men did not move. Mark just stared at the flower he was holding.
Raymond sighed and thought he was the first to walk because Mark wasn't moving.
When Raymond's foot was in the water, he put the flower in the water.
“Surprising,” Raymond chuckled. “I didn't expect this to happen to you all of a sudden. Adonis, sir, boss or whatever else you can be called, I want to say that wherever you are now, don't worry about Miss Luna and your child. It was a good journey.”
Raymond backed away and was about to return when someone grabbed his shoulder. When he looked back at who it was, he saw Mark with his lip raised and smiling.
Raymond did not reciprocate the grin he gave.
“You can cry whenever you want. You know him better, so it's not wrong to give him the last words you want.” Raymond tapped Mark back on the shoulder. "I'll be heading first."
Mark couldn't speak to what Raymond had said. Unbeknownst to him, the tears he had been holding back had fallen from the day he found out the news about Adonis.
"It's not man thing to cry." He was joking. “I shouldn't cry because I'm a man. But damn man ... ”
Raymond stopped and turned to Mark, pitying him to see Mark like that. Mark has been working longer than him, he hasn’t even started when Mark started working for Adonis so he understands how Mark feels, how difficult it is for his friend.
"We are all struggling, but hopefully, you will be strong."
He whispered into the air to convey the word to Mark and Luna even though the two had not heard it.
