Chapter 130: Chapter 130
I no longer know how Athen and I got home to Guangdong. I don’t even know how I got my feet off the cabin, even though I was still waiting for Adonis to return. I’m already confused about everything. My heart was bleeding, but I didn’t know what to do. I thought that just in case he came back to me, what about his child to Jessica? There was too much playing with my mind, but there was no answer to anything.
"Mommy, when is daddy coming back?"
Another question of Athen, who never tired of asking her father. I also don’t know where Adonis is. I wanted to tell her that, but I restrained myself from speaking. I just pulled her inside and then removed her clothes to clean her body.
“Mommy? Isn't daddy coming back? Isn't he going to come with us?” Athen still hadn’t let go of her question, so I stopped taking off her clothes. I closed my eyes because I could feel the pain on my forehead.
“Athens—”
I would have answered her question when there was a knock on the door. I couldn’t move because I thought Adonis was knocking. Possibly, he already knew that we had returned to Guangdong, so he went here.
"Daddy!" Athen jumped out of bed. We're both the same thoughts. She ran to the door first, and I quickly followed her.
“Athens! Slowdown! You might stumble!” I also got up promptly to greet Adonis. I looked at Athen to see her reaction as I smiled. However, all the happiness on my face disappeared when I saw her not happy with the person outside.
I marched towards the person outside and frowned when I saw Luke in front of our door. How did he know I lived here? Is he following us?
"What are you doing here?" I couldn’t help but question him, still not removing the grimace on my forehead.
Athen grabbed my clothes.
It gives me chills to think that he is a stalker.
"Well ... ahhh ... I heard you yesterday, you said you live in Guangdong, so I immediately looked for you—"
"For what?" I told him without emotion. To be honest, it's not good for you to show up at someone's house to say that you heard their address. “I don't know what your purpose is for appearing here, but I will be honest with you. I'm not happy about your sudden visit without my permission.”
Even if he thinks I'm wrong, I don't like what he did. He can hate me for my unbridled tongue, but I won’t let him make me uncomfortable because he thinks what he does is okay with me.
The first one he made me uncomfortable was when he caressed my body with his eyes. Now, it was his sudden visit.
“Also, your wife might attack me here again, so you can leave. I don't want trouble because my daughter might get hurt.”
"N-no, Luna, that is ..." He couldn't complete the sentence he wanted to say, so my forehead furrowed even more. "She is not in her right mind."
"So you think you're in the right frame of mind now?" I told him coldly. No matter how much he wants to tame me, he can't because since his wife fought with me, I have lost trust in him. Perhaps, Adonis doesn't have a good vibe because he knows that this man will not do me well.
"Luna, don't be mad." I could hear the softness in his voice. He had intended to take my hand, but I immediately avoided it and backed away a bit.
“I’m not mad. Please tell me what you need now.” My voice still does not return to its calm.
He could not answer my question. I sighed, and he looked up at me. I don’t know if I’m wasting time, but I don’t like this way of him visiting.
“I won't let you into my house today because I still have a lot to do. I will also not accommodate your request for permission to visit so; you can go back home now.” I closed the door and let him out. I have no plans to talk to him anymore because I know his husband plans to attack me again, especially since Jessica turns that woman's mind.
"Mommy ..." Athen called me softly. I focused on her. I saw that her face was sad; probably even she didn't think Luke was at the door. Surprisingly, Athen did not approach him even though Athen was used to him.
"Don't worry; daddy is coming too." I squatted in front of her and wiped the tears that had fallen from her eyes.
****
Athen fell asleep as we waited for Adonis to return, but no one came. Even I looked back and forth at the door. Even though I was drowsy, I was trying to open my eyes. It's late, but I can't calm my heart and mind.
Until I fell asleep, no Adonis came.
*ring ring ring*
I get up from lying down when my phone rings. I no longer looked at the caller and immediately answered the call. I was still trembling at the thought that Adonis had called, but I only got disappointment.
“Hello, Miss Luna? I just wanted to say that your products and groceries have been stuck in the mall for a long time; I just needed to ask when you plan to ask for the delivery of items?” Customer service called. I ruffled my hair and brushed it with my fingers. I looked to my side and saw that Athen was not beside me. I stood up suddenly because of that.
“Oh. Y-you can deliver it today.” I never finished speaking to the person on the other line and turned off the call. I ran out and tried to find Athen. My heart was pounding; I didn't want her to come out of our house because there were many rivers and seas, and I was afraid she might fall into them.
"Athens!" When I called, I was walking out the door.
“Athen, you are scaring mommy again! Where are you?!” I ran to the back of the house where the river fall was, I looked at her there, but I didn’t see her.
I went back to the house to see if she had returned, but there was no trace of her. Tears welled up in my eyes, and I tried to search again.
As I was running, I came across a man who looked like he had come from the sea because of the net he carried on his shoulder.
“Excuse me! Have you ever seen a girl this tall?” I demonstrate how tall my daughter is.
The man looked where he was heading and pointed the way down. "I saw her earlier playing in the burned-out mansion of Everdeen."
