I ran and didn’t even wait for the next thing to happen. I couldn't thank the man either. Even though my heart was pounding I didn’t let it weaken me. This is not the right time to waste any second.

"Athens!" I was approaching our burned mansion so I started calling. Luckily and there isn't much river or sea in this part but the ferocious animals are there. It was just like the first time I came back here with Adonis and the snake almost bit me.

“Athens! Where are you?" I called her again but no one answered.

When I got close to the mansion I looked for her immediately and the fire anxiousness seemed to disappear in my chest when I saw her sitting while holding a wooden box.

"I've been looking for you for a while, why did you leave suddenly without letting me know?" I didn’t let my anger came out because I didn’t want her to be afraid of me. "Whenever you leave, you should let me know." I added more to her but she was still busy looking at a box.

"Mommy look what I have found." She lifted and handed me the box she was holding. I looked at it first because it had burnt parts but overall it didn't burn completely.

"What is this?" I asked her.

"I don't know either." She shrugged.

I looked closely at the box and I didn’t know how to open it because there was a small lock hanging from it. I looked around because maybe someone owned it and Athen just took it but I didn’t see anyone.

“Let's go back. Let's see it inside.” I took Athen's hand and removed the dirt that came with her dress. “And next time don't leave without letting me know! It's not like the USA!”

She nodded and bowed her head. I sighed and no longer knew what to do. I don't think I'll ever lose the problem. I squatted in front of her, grabbed both arms and touched her chin so she could look at me.

“You know, mommy is worried sick. I don't know where to look for you, I feel like I'm going crazy when you're out of my sight. What if you leave me too?” I was no longer restrained and I burst out.

“Why? Did daddy leave us?”

I could not answer her question. That's also the answer I would have liked to know. Has he left us? Is it my fault again?

“N-no. Of course not." I could not properly construct my words for fear that my answer to her would only look like a lie.

“Okay, I’m sorry. I promise not to repeat. I'm sorry mommy.” She hugged me around the neck so I hugged her tighter. I don't think my heart will have peace no matter what I do. I wake up every day with fear in my heart I don't know what I need to do to get rid of that.

We got up and walked back. I looked at the box again I still didn't know what was in it. I tried to shake it but nothing sounded like anything. The box is also light and looks like it is empty. I don't know what the purpose of the lock is if it's empty.

When we got inside I first set the box down on the cabinet and prepared food for Athen. Athen was sitting at the table waiting for me.

While I was cooking my phone rang so I immediately went back to the room and looked for my phone. Who will call me this early? But it also quickly sinks into me that maybe it's Adonis. I'm in a hurry to find my phone.

I didn't even look at the caller and answered the call while I was still holding a spoon for cooking. I couldn’t breathe as I held my phone to my ear and waited for the speaker.

“Ignore him. If you can drive him away, do it. He just watching you. He is not a photographer but an opponent of Adonis.” The woman spoke and I immediately looked at the caller. It was unknown and I put the phone back to my ear.

"What do you mean?" I was afraid to question her because it was creepy that all of a sudden she would call for me such a thing.

“Luke Yuno. He’s not just a typical photographer. He’s a businessman, I don’t know why he pretends to be a normal photographer but there’s only one thing I can assure you, Luke is different. He can do the worst things just so just he can have you.” I seem to have heard this voice but I just can’t remember where.

"Who are you? If you're just fooling me, don't try— ”

“I'm not forcing you to believe me, the decision is still up to you but think carefully about how Luke looks at you. I know him more than anyone in the world.”

“Who—”

I didn’t finish what I was about to say when suddenly the call went dead. I stared at my phone for a long time and only one person was in my mind.

“Mommy! Mommy! ”

My sanity returned to myself when Athen shouted. I instantly smelled what I was cooking so I quickly ran.

When I came back I could see it was burning. I turned off the stove and just sat in the chair. Nothing good is happening to me today. What is happening to me.

I just cooked again. Athen and I did our old routine. Eat, bathe and whatnot. I didn't even know that it's already dark because Athen ask to sleep.

When I made sure Athen was asleep I went back to the table to look at the number. I was hesitant to call it back but when I looked up, I stared at the box that Athen and I had brought earlier.

It was as if someone was telling me to open it.
