“Are you leaving already? Can you just give me a peck.”
“Get lost.” She said and started to walk away. Since she had this life right now. She might as well get used to it. Get used to of people looking at her like she was a popular star. Their eyes were all tangled at her while she was walking in the isle of the cafeteria.
“Darling, wait up.” Zach called her but she continued to walk fastly. She wanted to escape from the place as soon as she can. People already looking at her is enough of a nightmare, how much more that Zach is bothering her.
When Adeline was about to head out from the cafeteria. Jason suddenly blocked her in the exit.
“Can we talk for a bit?” Jason’s eyes were sharp. He still have the bruises and marks from his face which was all a result to Zach punching him. Which of course she was happy to see.
“I think you’ve already made it clear to me the last time I have seen and talk to you.” She sarcastically answered.
“I really want to tell you something Adeline, that’s why I need to talk to you.”
“Are you trying to make me more sick of you, Jason. My life is already a complete mess, please don’t make things complicated and stop bothering me.”
“Is it because of Zach? Is it because you have found a replacement already?”
“How dare you trying to question me about replacement and all kinds of cheating stuffs. On the first place, you were the one’s who cheated on me first. You were the one who made my life miserable and completely disarranged. Now fuck off!” she said with much distinction.
“Cheating? If I am cheating to you is it also right to get revenge on me by trying to date Zach?”
“Are you accusing me now?” Students started to stare at them. But what matters to Adeline, is she could defend herself from being accused of this jerk. She don’t want to make a scene but he is really testing her patience.
“Don’t even dare to accuse me of things that I didn’t even do. Don’t you dare to make false accusations. You were the one who ruined our relationship first. You were the one’s who made me look like a fool.” She was on the point of crying in front of everyone.
“Darling, are you okay?” she just completely forgot that Zach was just following behind him.
The next thing that Adeline was seeing was Jason now lying on the floor wiping his mouth that has blood on it. Zach punched him hardly.
“Zach stop!” she held Zach shoulders tightly and tried to take him away from Jason.
“How dare you punch me. Are you really trying to have a death wish.” Jason’s eyes were glaring while looking at Zach. But Adeline wasn’t much concerned about that. She was more concerned of how Zach was looking at Jason. It was as if there’s fire in his eyes. It was as if he’s going to swallow him whole.
“Please Zach, don’t do this.” She is now crying on his shoulders. She is really entangled and confused why this was happening to her. She never wished to be involved with these men much to their catfights as well.
“You don’t have the right to talk to my darling like that! Just lay a single finger at her. No, just fucking touch a strand of her hair I will fucking kill you right away where you are right now.” Zach’s voice was solid and it’s completely scaring everyone that’s surrounding them. Some of the students were taking pictures of what’s happening. While others were completely shocked and amazed.
Zach quickly turns to her and faces her. He cupped her face and carefully wiped off the tears that’s about to fall from her eyes.
“Anyone who dares to touch you will fuckin’ face my wrath and anger.” It was almost a whisper on her ears.
Zach hugged her and what Adeline also did. She was hugging him for the same reason that she was embarrassed and for the reason that she was trying to find support before she will collapse right on the spot.
Zach held her face gently. All were surprised when Zach suddenly kissed her eyes, nose, cheeks, forehead then down to her very lips. She savored it and had to close her eyes. The thing she was doing and the way she was acting all submissive towards Zach is now completely out of his bounds. She just wanted to be present at the moment.
“Anyone who dares and tries to touch, Adeline would be damned. I won’t be reminding all of you again.” Zach almost shouted those words to everyone. They were all completely covering their mouths. Others had completely dropped their jaws and had to pick up their eyeballs on the floor,
“Adeline is my girlfriend.” When Zach have said that, everyone was really stunned. No one can’t comprehend of what was happening. No one dares to object or speak. Even the Spice girls where almost out of their breath and had to collapse on the floor with the sudden announcement.
Zach faced her who is much more shock, stunned and confused than everyone. Did he just heard it correctly? Zach claimed her as his girlfriend. She had to rethink it twice or couple of times before that word would sink in on her mind.
Adeline had to hold Zach’s shoulder firmly as she was asking for support. Her knees were trembling so badly and she needs to breath and had to grasp her mind that has been drifting away. Adeline has to hold her chest as she was feeling that her heart might explode any moment from now.
Now Zach is kissing her again. He is kissing her again in front of all of these students. He is kissing her like they were the only people around. Adeline, had to close her eyes and just be with the moment now. She just wanted to forget about all the bad things and savor this kiss with Zach.
