Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Adeline is still on the state of confusion, shock and bewilderment. It’s been two days since Zach and her were kissing inside the room but that feeling were still fully stuck on her head.
Her friend was not there today as it was going out for badminton interschool tournament with the nearby the university. She was left eating all alone in the canteen. She had no appetite her mind was completely floating everywhere. She hadn’t grasped of right things to think and do.
Even for the past days, she had been completely spacing out. Her professors where already worried about her state. She was spacing out in the middle of the examination. Even so, she was also distracted on her PE class she’s completely spacing out and almost been hit by the ball.
“This day is so fucking stressful.” She had to let multiple sighs be out from her mouth. She was heavily breathing almost like struggling to breath and all. Se sipped her juice and continued to think all the possible things just so she could avoid Zach. But, fuck he was already blackmailing her.
For the past few days, Zach had been calling her nonstop, both from home and even from school. She was bothered by all the noises coming from her phone that’s why she had decided to keep it in a silent mode. But Zach is such a clever man, he had managed to get their landline number and had been keeping it ringing for the entire day and night.
She’s fucked up, she looked like a zombie and couldn’t walk straight or keep a straight face. She had been sleepless for days now.
Adeline lifelessly ate her bacon then sipped again the juice. She had been sighing the entire morning. She is not sitting on their usual spot with Cheska on the cafeteria. And the reason is because Zach might spot her and might give her a hard time again.
She was about to take her last bite when someone just suddenly tapped her shoulder. She doesn’t want to move or took a peek of who it might be, because from the looks and sound of it, she could already tell that Zach was standing behind him ready to give her nightmares.
But it kept tapping her back nonstop. It made her get irritated. It made her flustered as well. People are already looking at her intently with curves and wavy lines on their forehead.
“Could you please stop bothering me for once? I am not on the mood right now.” She hardly exclaimed without facing him.
“Are you now trying to avoid me?” Zach’s voice was husky and a bit softer than the last time.
“Yes, I don’t want to be linked with you. You’re making me nervous and embarrassed.” She said.
Zach suddenly get his face in front of hers. They’ve almost kissed and fucked it made her heart jumped in surprise. That sudden smile from Zach made her heart skipped and then beat again faster. She really is lost right now, she really is out of her mind.
Zach sat in front of her and grabbed her spoon then completely swallowed the last piece of her bacon.
“Now you’re done eating, mind to talk to me now?” Zach’s voice sounded a little childish and excited.
“Why are you even bothering me. I want to live a normal life. I don’t want to be in the same circle as you.” She exclaimed with a little disbelief in her voice.
“Remember our deal? You don’t really want to be the popular girl of the campus this year right?”
“Yeah I know, but could you just please don’t talk to me or might as well don’t approach me at all.”
“That would not be possible darling. You’ve already stole my heart and soul.” Zach smiled then held his heart as if he was really struck by love.
“You’re making me puke. Could you sit anywhere?” she was trying to really avoid him or shoo him away but that isn’t what Zach was doing.
“I’m doing you a favor right now, darling. Jason is looking at as intently right now.” She immediately gazes towards where Jason is currently sitting with the new girl. Their eyes met, he was really looking at them and by the looks of it, she’s not loving the atmosphere. She immediately had to take back her gaze.
“Could you just at least not talk to me, just be quiet and sit.”
“Okay, darling. I’ll just look at you and enjoy the view.”
Adeline rolled her eyes and then continued to sip her juice. She’s really exhausted right now. She wants to have a clear mind and wants to go back to how she had lived her life- that’s before she met this annoying man.
Adeline looked at him intently. Zach is annoying but he is honestly handsome as well. He knows what to wear and is very good at it. He had such a dark aura but he is very good at it. As if Adeline had completely seen James Bond in him. He ahd such thick brows as well that any woman who would dare to look at it would be completely lost and couldn’t find their way out. His hair is gelled perfectly and tucked at the back with a few freckles hanging on his face. His eyes, oh God, did she just already said that it was as dark as the night and as expressive as it is. It is very nice and warm looking as well. Adeline then gazes through his jaws and it’s like a cutting knife ready to stash her.
“Are you done looking at me?” she was flustered when Zach caught her.
“Who said I was looking at you? I wan’t looking at you at all. I am trying to think how annoying you are.” She answered.
“Can I just kiss you right now?” Adeline was left blushing.
“Don’t you even dare to try doing that here.”
“Then can I do it later when no one is looking?” Zach smiled again. Why was everytime Zach smiled at her. It was as if she was completely struck with lightning. Her veins were completely paralyzed and couldn’t dare to move.
“As if I would let you kiss me.” She rolled her eyes and then got up with her bag immediately.
