Chapter 97: Chapter 97

"A lot of people are depending on me to survive so no, I am not dying here." Sharaina cracked her neck.

Velna tilted her head in surprise. "You seem overly confident."

"Well I have faced other beasts before you." Sharaina looked around. "Not as many as this I must admit but you will find that I am not easy to kill Velna."

Velna laughed softly. "Interesting, let us see if you are worthy of us."

As soon as Velna finished speaking, the dragons came charging at Sharaina. Some of them flew whereas others crawled their way to her. Sharaina lunged at one flying dragon and got on its back.

It shook itself rapidly in order to get her off but she held onto it tight. In its pursuit to get Sharaina off, it didn't see the rocky hill until it was too late. It went crushing down. Sharaina got off it and kicked it under its chin.

Three more appeared from nowhere and blew fire at Sharaina. Sharaina launched up in the air but was slapped back down by another one. One forced its open jaw at her but she held it apart. Its hot saliva fell on her face as she struggled to keep it from eating her.

The dragon was suddenly bitten in the neck by another dragon. Sharaina watched the bleeding dragon struggle to get away from its attacker. Sharaina took notice that it was the same dragon she defeated earlier. The dragon withdrew its jaws and slapped the bleeding dragon with its tail.

"Mistress, are you alright?" It asked her.

"Yes I am." Sharaina answered.

"So I'm I." The bleeding dragon answered.

Sharaina was surprised. "What is this?"

"I am yours too because your dragon has taken me down in this realm." The wounded dragon answered.

Sharaina grinned deviously. "Alright then, you rest for now." She said to it. "And as for you, don't wound the next dragons you fight. Just defeat them so that they are able to fight with me as you are."

"Consider it done mistress." The dragon answered.

Sharaina saw the other dragons coming towards them. She hopped onto the dragon and it took off in the sky. Whilst in the sky, Sharaina jumped onto another dragon and crawled her way to its jaw.

It shook its head to get her off until she found herself hanging on its bottom jaw. Sharaina swung herself and gave it a tight kick under its jaw and it sent it falling down. As she fell with it, another dragon caught her in its jaw.

"Damn it!" Sharaina exclaimed.

"Calm down mistress for I am one of yours." It said to her telepathically. It landed on the ground beside the fallen dragon and twelve other dragons circulated around Sharaina. "All of them are with you."

"Great! Keep taking down as many as you can. I want to go after Velna for she is my main dragon. I only just inherited the rest of you. Once I defeat her, she will be second in command after me therefore the other dragons will submit. I don't have the time to fight all the other dragons with you. Let's not forget that we are heavily outnumbered."

"You speak the truth. Command us and consider it done." One dragon stepped forward.

"Cover me while I make my way to Velna and once I'm with her, make sure no dragon interfere with our fight." Sharaina said with determination.

Emelinia sat bottle feeding Dawn in Sharaina's tent. Lalina walked into the tent and smiled at Emelinia. She went over to her and peeped on the baby. Emelinia handed Dawn over to Lalina and got Dawn's dirty laundry.

She sat on the floor and started washing the clothes. Lalina watched her wash in silence. Suddenly Dawn started to cry in Lalina's hands and she panicked.

"You aren't holding him properly." Emelinia told her with a chuckle.

"I am not good at these sorts of things." Lalina smiled back.

"Put him over your shoulder and gently pat his back. That should calm him down." Emelinia suggested and Lalina did it.

Emelinia saw shadows approaching their tent and she paused from her washing again. In no time she and Lalina heard Liss and Mayla's voice. They peeped into the tent with wide smiles on their faces.

Emelinia asked them to go in and they cheerfully did. Mayla sat on the bed whereas Liss went over to Lalina and took the baby from her. Lalina felt relieved at that but when Liss pointed out the vomit left on her shoulder, she whined.

"Hi there little guy." Liss greeted the baby ignoring Lalina. "Did you miss your favorite aunt Liss?"

"You're his favorite?" Mayla asked Liss with her brows raised.

"Jealous?" Liss asked her back with a smug.

"Why would I be jealous of your lies?" Mayla giggled and got off the bed. "Give him to me. I haven't gotten the chance to hold him since he was born."

"No I am still holding him." Liss refused.

"Selfish much?" Mayla held her hips.

"I am his second mother after all." Liss stuck her tongue out.

"I thought you were his favorite aunt." Mayla reminded her with a smirk.

Emelinia shook her head at the two of them arguing. From the corner of her eye, she saw Lalina wiping the vomit off her shoulder with a tensed look on her face.

Emelinia continued washing with her mind drifting away. She thought about Sharaina in the realm of the dragons and hoped that she was okay. It was fourteen hours since she left and she wondered if Sharaina was going to spend the whole three days there or come back early.

The sound of Naraygeous's voice cut her thoughts short. Emelinia saw him; Zentz and Shays enter the tent. Naraygeous gently took the baby away from Mayla who folded her hands with a pout while Liss laughed. Naraygeous made his way to the bed and Zentz sat by him while Shays stood over them. All of them admired the baby with wide smiles on their faces.

"Did you miss your favorite uncle?" Naraygeous asked the baby.

"Favorite uncle?" Zentz asked him and pulled his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"So you don't know that I am his second father?" Naraygeous waved his eye brows at Zentz.

Lalina rolled her eyes. "Oh please let there not be a male version of this argument." She said and made Liss and Mayla laugh.

"Naraygeous they are just jealous that we are parents." Liss winked at Naraygeous and it infuriated Lalina.

Lalina sat next to Naraygeous and hugged his arm as a way of marking her territory. Everyone but Emelinia was oblivious to this. Emelinia secretly stretched her lips and continued to wash.

She didn't want to point it out because it was going to turn into a verbal war between Liss and Lalina. She softly giggled at the thought of them arguing. She thought that it would be something interesting to watch considering that both of them were crazy.

Sharaina sped her way to Velna at supersonic speed but she was blocked by a wall of dragons and they all blew fire at her. The fire came to her like a hail storm of complete and total fire.

The dragons that submitted to her hit their tails hard on the ground and chunks of the ground rose up blocking the flames from reaching Sharaina. That was her seventh failed attempt to get to Velna and it pissed her off.

Sharaina panted heavily on one knee as she glared at Velna. She wiped the sweat off her forehead and spit on the ground. Her dragons circulated around her as a way of protecting her from any further attacks.

The first day is over and I got nowhere near Velna. She thought to herself.

Velna started to laugh annoyingly. "Are you ready to give up?" She asked Sharaina. "Come on, you will still die with integrity."

"I have told you that a lot of people are depending on me to stay alive. The only reason I have failed to get to you is because you are a coward." Sharaina claimed with boldness.

"What did you say to me?" Velna's tone turned dark and she blew out smoke from her nose.

Sharaina scoffed. "You heard me."

"How dare you?!" Velna thundered.

"Come and do something about it then." Sharaina taunted her.

To Sharaina's surprise, Velna started laughing softly to herself and sat back down. She crossed her front legs and rested her head on them. "I won't let you get to me." She answered and yawned. "Your first day is now officially over." She closed her eyes to sleep.

Sharaina watched the dragons retreat to their caves to sleep whereas others slept around Velna. Her own dragons slept around her. Sharaina remembered one of her lessons at the Great Academy concerning the realm of the dragons.

A night only lasted for two hours while a day lasted for ten hours. On Earth or Dark Star, the two hours where equivalent to four hours while the ten hours where equivalent to twenty hours.

Considering the time on her hands, Sharaina thought to take down as many dragons as she could while they slept. Only problem she had was the fact that hitting them under their chins whilst they slept wasn't going to amount to anything.

She thought of wounding them at least but she had no weapons. Her swords were pinned deep in the ground with Velna guarding them. Trying to pull them out was out of the question because no warrior could pull out weapons locked by dragons in the realm of the dragons.

As Sharaina brain stormed, an idea hit her so hard that she almost shrieked in excitement. She made her way through the sleeping dragons taking care not to wake any of them up.

Sharaina carefully climbed all the way up to Velna and set her eyes on her swords. She walked passed them and sat ten feet away from Velna. Now all she had to do was wait for her to wake up.

A hooded man walked undetected through the dark hallways of the royal castle. He hid from the guards in the shadows and silently continued on his pursuit as soon as he trusted that he was safe. He arrived at a tall steel door and looked sideways before pulling out a golden key. He turned the key and the door opened.

Inside were a line of lit torches that lit the passage brightly. He locked the door and made his way through the passage. As he walked, he took care not to step on any of the blocks that triggered the traps.

The man paused when he saw a force field covering the end of the passage. He, after much thought decided to walk through the force field. His decision alerted the gamarax manipulators that there was an intruder in the royal treasure storage.

In no time, they set out to the treasure storage with royal guards running right behind them. The hooded man knew that he had no choice but to hurry up and get what he went there for as soon as he could.

He walked into a room of gold, diamonds, rubies, silver and money. He ignored it all and walked further. He found himself staring at a pit of golden coins and jumped into it. He wadded his way through it until he came to a secret door.

The hooded man got into the hidden room and it was pitch black. He activated his special eyes and they glowed purple as he scouted the room. He saw another hidden door and he opened it.

Behold was a floating medallion in a glass case. The hooded man smiled to himself and slowly picked up the glass case. He put it aside and marveled at the floating medallion. His eyes were no longer glowing because the medallion offered more than enough red light in the room.

The man reached out for it and got it. Immediately he touched it, it stopped glowing red. He proceeded to put it into his pocket. When he wanted to leave, he heard the sound of guards in the treasure storage. He knew that it was only going to be a matter of time until they found him. He took the medallion out and held it up high.

"Oh great and powerful wish granting Infinite Medallion, my only wish at this moment is that you get me out of here." He asked it and it began to glow again.

The medallion teleported the man out of the royal castle and sent him deep into the outskirts of Cherilisia. The hooded man smiled at that and put the medallion back into his pockets.

He was about to draw a portal out of there when he heard a deep and soft laugh. He turned around and saw a giant with long dark cow horns. His coal black bat like wings spread across and casted an intimidating shadow on the hooded man.

He stood barf in his masculine physic while his cow legs with powerful hooves rooted him to the ground. His dark eyes were soul piercing as he looked grimly at the hooded man.

"You aren't thinking of taking the Infinite Medallion away from here, now are you Dano?" The giant asked.

Dano took off his hood and his old warm eyes looked back at the giant. "You know better than to come into darkas god territory Beelzebub."

"I live by my own rules Dano." Beelzebub grimly answered. He let out his hand. "Hand over the medallion." His beastly face cringed into a powerful scowl.

"It's power is far beyond your comprehension Beelzebub. It has to be destroyed or else it will bring forth a war far greater than this one."

"I am a demon you fool. I do not care for peace." Beelzebub stretched his hairy hand. "I will not ask you again."

Dano turned to run when Beelzebub appeared in front of him and lifted him by the neck. "You made a big mistake."

"You will not be able to use this for one of your subordinates will steal it from you before you get the chance."

Beelzebub stabbed Dano in his heart with his tail completely forcing it out of his chest. He took the Infinite Medallion and threw the body hard against the tree. Beelzebub grinned evilly and disappeared into thin air.

Emelinia woke up to the cries of Dawn. She smelt that he messed himself and shook her head at him with a smile.

Emelinia pulled out a clean nappy and changed him. She then picked up one of the bottles that Sharaina filled with her milk and fed Dawn. Unlike human milk, darkas god milk never soured. Emelinia counted the remaining bottles and nodded her head. They were going to be enough for the next two days.

As soon as she finished feeding and burping Dawn, she laid him on the bed and picked up a broom to sweep the tent. While she swept, she heard Shays call her from outside the tent. Emelinia permitted him to enter and he got in feeling a little awkward. He took out an envelope from his pocket and handed it to her.

"What is this?" Emelinia asked him, puzzled.

"It's a letter. Some seer women we rescued gave it to us. They insisted that it is for you." Shays explained.

Emelinia tore the letter open and her eyes widened.

Dear Emelinia,

If you are reading this, it means that I have failed in my mission and hence I am dead. Forget about that however because that is not the reason I am writing to you.

Over the years I have kept a secret from you. It is a secret that I discovered accidentally when I overheard a meeting of the council of elders.

This secret involves all seers. The council of elders sealed this knowledge from everyone because they assumed the worst would happen if it came out. They feared that once the secret was out in the open, seers would go extinct.

I however did not share their skeptics. I was rather optimistic about the secret and I thought that every seer had the right to know it - that includes you.

Go to the place where our eyes met in the moonlight. It is there that I have hidden a book that contains everything you need to know. I trust that you will use the knowledge wisely.

Farewell young friend of mine. Be sure to take care of yourself.

Yours truly;

Dano.

"Poor Dano..." Emelinia muttered with a frown as sadness filled her heart. Shays just silently observed her.

"The place where our eyes met in the moonlight?" Emelinia said and Shays jerked his eyebrow up.

Emelinia thought back to the night she caught Dano in her matrimonial bedroom. The both of them gazed into each other's eyes with the moonlight flickering in them.

Dano hid the book in her bedroom!
