Chapter 93: Chapter 93
Sharaina said nothing to Ronitte but faced away from her and folded her legs. She kept her face down and began contemplating about her situation.
There was no telling what King Meelzib had in store for her but what she did know was that she had to get out of there. She was feeling so angry with him for what he had done to her. If she was going to settle her score with him, she had to get out of her cell.
Sharaina thought about Emelinia and the children. She hoped that they were safe and okay. She was grateful that Emana was safe on Earth. Emana, Emelinia and her children were all she had left of her maternal family. Sharaina also thought about her in laws and assumed that they had left for Earth by then. At least she was assured that they were safe.

Nami left the castle with the other five gamarax manipulators who King Meelzib had assigned to treat Sharaina while she was hibernating. Now that Sharaina had awakened, there was no need for them.
King Meelzib decided that he wanted her to be awake so that he could see her suffer at the claws of the Luna Beast. He felt that handing Sharaina over to the Luna Beast in her unconscious state was going to be a bore and that it was going to be an act of kindness to Sharaina.
Nami was not picked to attend to Sharaina. King Meelzib actually sent a man hunt for Light's entire family so they were all in hiding. Nami convinced her friend who was chosen to allow her to let her take her place so that she could get to Sharaina. She planned on killing her secretly without anyone else noticing but when the time came, she completely failed to do so.
"Why did you fail to kill her mama? Now she has woken up and King Meelzib has dismissed all of you." Stariss asked Nami as soon as she appeared out of a portal at their new home in China.
Stariss started to hate Sharaina again after what had happened to Light. She and Nami completely blamed her for everything. They felt nothing but bitterness and resentment towards her. When they heard that Sharaina's family was exiled, they were pleased. They felt that it served her right for having taken Light away from them.
"I couldn't kill her because she is pregnant with your brother's child." Nami bluntly explained.
"What?" Jayniss gasped as she entered the room. "Sharaina is pregnant?" She smiled. "Papa!" She called out to Velan.
"Yes dear?" Velan answered.
"Sharaina is pregnant. I just heard mama tell Stariss."
"Yes I heard her say it too dear." Velan said to Jayniss but when he turned to Nami and Stariss, he scowled at them. "I also heard them admit that they had plotted to kill Sharaina."
Stariss felt tensed and stepped back. "Papa you are mistaken." She nervously lied.
"Shut up!" Velan yelled at Stariss and she jumped to her mother's back.
Velan reached into his pocket and pulled out Sharaina's rings. Nami was astonished to see the rings in his hands. She had stolen them from Sharaina while she was unconscious on the very first day she attended to her in the dungeon.
"I saw you hiding them in your clothes and I grew suspicious of you. If your intentions were to safe keep them for her, you were going to tell me that you had them." Velan said to her with a scowl. "You wouldn't have succeeded in killing Sharaina either way because I paid one of the gamarax manipulators to inject her with a high dose of the antidote so that your natrifin wasn't going to harm her."
"Why are you so adamant on taking care of the girl that took your son away from you?" Nami angrily asked him.
"I am doing this because she is my daughter. With Light gone, that makes her my responsibility. Everything that happened was unfortunate but blaming her won't wake Light up. I am even surprised that you stopped yourself from killing her because of her pregnancy."
"That child will be the only thing I will have left of my son until he returns to me." Nami furiously pointed at Velan. "Once it is born, I will hand divorce papers to that girl. I have every right to do so considering that I am Light's mother."
"Those papers will need three signatures. She may choose to sign them after your emotional blackmail but I won't. I will never ever sign them."
"Velan! In case you haven't noticed, we have lost our son and become fugitives all because of that girl. She is also responsible for sending ten thousand people into hibernation that day in the terror hole. How can you still support her? Can you not see that everything is her fault? Do you not believe? I will snatch that child away from her and cut ties with her with or without your help!"
Velan scoffed. "How will you be able to go against a queen?" He asked her with a smug.
"She will never be queen." Nami clenched her jaws.
"She will be. You just wait and see. When that time comes, you will be more careful with the people you choose to reject." Velan held the rings up again. "These are staying with me. I will personally return them back to her. They are hers after all. The only one who has the right to take them away from her is asleep."

Everyone in the Kingdom heard about Sharaina's case. They heard about how she was destined to be queen and understood the disappearances of the girls. While a good number were enraged to know that they had a King that was even more cruel and wicked than they had imagined; majority of the people became so afraid for their lives.
Riots and protests erupted for the release of Sharaina. People chanted 'RELEASE OUR QUEEN' and women danced the angry dance in the streets. King Meelzib's army attacked the rioters brutally killing or severely wounding them.
Cities, towns and villages were engulfed in flames. The whole of Dark Star was in turmoil. Chaos became the order of the day. Hunger and poverty worsened the lives of the people. The feeling of helplessness took away their sanity.
The rebels joined the fight in order to protect the people and before anyone knew it, Dark Star was plunged into a civil war. Gemhules was not spared from the distraction. Jenu opted to building an underground house and filled it up with food that would sustain his family for as long as possible. He, his wife, two daughters and son spent the rest of their days in their little underground house of only four rooms.
Ronitte had finished her guard shift and left Sharaina in the company of another guard. That was her third day on the job ever since she graduated from the Great Academy. She was not been given any rank yet because her results were average.
Ronitte idolized Sharaina since the day she read about her topping the class at the Great Academy despite being the youngest. She kept track of Sharaina's successful career in the military and she wanted to be like her.
Ronitte checked out at the gate and made her way into the city of Cherilisia. It was not in shambles because the army was in larger numbers there. This was due to the fact that majority of the people there supported King Meelzib. The peace in Cherilisia gave the illusion that everything was okay in the whole of Dark Star.
Ronitte got into a public rest room and went into one of the cube toilets. Whilst in there she opened a portal and stepped into a settlement made entirely of tents. She waved at some rebels as they ate by a fire.
Because Ronitte admired Sharaina, she decided to join the rebels in a heartbeat. She greeted a few other rebels before she finally got into the tent were the rebel leaders were having a meeting.
Sevilon, Ouman, Naraygeous, Yolin, Zentz, Jemi and Emelinia were in discussing something when they caught sight of her. Ronitte took off her cap and slowly approached them.
"What news do you have for us?" Sevilon asked her.
"She is awake. She woke up at 10:30hrs." Ronitte said and Emelinia smiled in relief.
"How is she?" Emelinia asked Ronitte.
"Well she seems to be depressed. She didn't say a word to me while I kept watch over her." Ronitte explained to Emelinia. She then scratched her head in discomfort. "She took care to have all the meals that were given to her though." She added.
"Okay at least she is eating properly. We need her to be fit for battle." Ouman voiced out and heads nodded.
"I don't think she will be fit for battle any time soon." Ronitte said and felt her heart race.
"Why do you say so?" Yolin asked her with one brow up.
Ronitte anxiously fidgeted with her fingers. She scratched the back of her head. "I think that she is pregnant." She said finally and held her breath.
"What?" Ouman gasped. "How sure are you that she is?"
"Well she didn't miss any of her meals despite being upset." Ronitte tried to explain.
"Nonsense! That's not a good reason for you to think so." Ouman admonished with a dismissive wave.
"I also caught her lovingly holding her belly from time to time." Ronitte further explained nervously but Ouman shook his head in denial.
"What she says is the truth." Emelinia spoke up to Ronitte's relief.
There was dead silence in the room and it made Ronitte feel even more uncomfortable. She wasn't sure if leaving at that point was going to be appropriate or not. She kept her eyes down and waited for someone - anyone to talk to her first.
Jemi looked blankly at how everyone but Emelinia appeared to be tensed. He yawned loudly and got everyone's attention.
"Whether she is pregnant or not shouldn't matter. All I am interested in is on how we are going to get my master and her out of there. Let's focus on that and you guys can worry about her ability to fight King Meelzib later." Jemi lazily said.
"Do you not care about Dark Star?" Yolin asked him.
"I only care about my master. Everything else is secondary." Jemi winked at Yolin.
"He is right." Sevilon spoke up and everyone turned to him stunned. "We must focus on getting her out of there. After that we shall see about her impending battle with King Meelzib."
"King Meelzib plans on banishing her to the Dark Void in two days. The rituals to summon the Luna Beast have already begun." Ronitte said to them.
"That's great, that will actually be the perfect time to get her out. The moment we set our eyes on her, we will invade the royal grounds and get her out of there." Ouman said.
Jemi cleared his throat at his words.
"Oh and break out Diavinx and his gamarax manipulator." Ouman added and Jemi gave him a thumb up.

Sharaina sat facing the dungeon wall with her back turned to the door. The guard watching her got bored and pulled out a book from his jacket. He couldn't bear the thought of having to watch her stare at the wall for hours on end. It had already been two hours and she didn't move a muscle. All she did was sit there and stare at the wall. He shook his head at her and opened his book.
The guard did not realize that Sharaina wasn't looking at the wall but at the chains that bound her to the wall. Her legs and arms were locked in shackles that were attached to chains nailed on the wall.
The chains were manite chains therefore they suppressed her powers. Sharaina observed that the nails were not made out of manite but iron. That meant that she could easily pull them out of the wall and free herself from bondage.
Sharaina turned and with the corner of her eye she saw the guard reading. She got up and the guard closed his book. He narrowed his eyes at her suspiciously as she moved to a corner where she sat facing the door.
The guard saw her looking up at the roof and he looked up too. He saw nothing of interest and he turned to Sharaina again. Her eyes looked lifeless and empty as she stared at the roof.
With everything she went through, the woman has finally gone insane. He thought to himself and opened his book once more.
Sharaina slowly dropped her head. She turned her focus to the door. The bars were completely made out of solid manite. Merely touching them was going to suppress her gamarax so much that she wouldn't be able to feel it anymore.
Sharaina turned her attention back to the roof and wished that she could have had the ability to use her special eyes so as to look further into the roof and see what was above.
She returned her eyes to the door. 'The only way out is by bending those bars but how will I do this?'
Sharaina remembered the time when Mrs Plurinsia was teaching them about Gamarax. She specifically remembered the lesson about gamarax in the air. The manite only suppressed the gamarax within her and not the one around her. Sharaina stole a look at the guard and saw him smiling at his book.
'I think I have found a way to get us out of here my child.' Sharaina said internally to her baby with her hand on her belly. 'Let's see if I am right.'
Sharaina got up and the guard stopped reading. He watched her sit down to face the wall again and he shook his head. He resumed reading and Sharaina closed her eyes to focus.
She felt the gamarax around her and twirled her fingers in the air. Her heart skipped a beat at the red vapor that appeared around her fingers. She kept at it until it covered her palms entirely. Sharaina clenched her fists and it disappeared.
'I have to keep trying until I am able to hold it despite the manite deflecting it. Once I am able to do this, I should be able to bend those bars.' She plotted with determination.
Thank you for reading! I have free time today so I'm likely to keep posting updates.
