Chapter 86: Chapter 86
The afternoon in Gemhules glimmered in the sunshine. The happy birds sang their sweet melodies and the flowers showed off their beauty. Nami sat bitter and alone - ignoring all the glory around her.
Between her fingers was a lit cigarette. She glared past the smoke and endured the tight knot in her throat with her eyes fixed on Akirexer across the road. Akirexer was busy tending to her flowers. The happiness on her face disgusted Nami to the core.
"Why wouldn't she be happy? She got her gold digging daughter married to my son." Nami grunted.
You better not do anything to hinder their happiness Nami I mean it. If I get even one complaint against you, you will feel my wrath. Velan's threat replayed in Nami's mind and she growled to herself.
Stariss and Jayniss stepped outside into the warmth of the sun. Jayniss waved at Akirexer who waved back at her and continued weeding. Stariss knew that Nami was still angry with her. She felt uneasy when Nami shot a glare at her and immediately averted her eyes back to Akirexer.
"Mama, for how long will you be angry with me?" Stariss apologetically asked Nami.
"For as long as it is going to take. Because of you all my plans got ruined. Yolin is the only child to Alamva and Sariba. She owned fifty percent of their business shares. If Light had married her, that fifty percent was going to be his. But now what I have is an unemployed daughter of a carpenter and housewife. Just another burden." Nami hatefully expressed her bitterness and Stariss frowned at her.
"How is she a burden when she isn't your responsibility?" Light suddenly asked Nami and she got up from her chair. "Please enlighten us mama."
"I am in no mood to argue with you Light. Go back to your wife and leave me alone." Nami put out her cigarette.
"I only asked you a simple question mama. Sharaina isn't your burden. She is no one's burden so how can you say that she is?" Light asked her again.
"I say this because it is true. She got dismissed from the military therefore she will be bringing no income whatsoever to this household. She has become even more useless than she was before."
"Mama, I love you but I can't tolerate such words against my wife - not even from you. Like I said, she isn't your burden. You are not responsible for her, I am. I am the one who married her after all and as her husband, it is my duty to take care of her." Light said and Nami faced away in disgust. Light smiled at her anger. "You say she will not bring any income to this house. Well, I ask you mama, who told you that she and I will be living here?" Light asked Nami and she turned to him stunned. "Oh yes, I will not live here. I have a mansion in Cherilisia. That's where I will be living with Sharaina."
Nami folded her arms and snorted at Light. "So she told you to move out of here permanently huh? You haven't been married for twenty four hours and already you are taking orders from your wife. I didn't realize that I have never raised a man."
Light chuckled back at that. "Mama why do you over think things? Let's not forget that my job is in Cherilisia. I haven't lived here in years and moreover you don't like Sharaina so I can't have you two stressing each other out. She loves you though. She doesn't even say anything bad about you despite you being the cause of all her problems. She is like a child when it comes to forgiving and forgetting. One moment she is upset with you, next moment she has forgotten what you have done. I still hold what happened against you but she doesn't yet she is the one who bared most of the suffering. You don't even know what we lost because of your selfishness. We are still emotionally paying for it."
"Light!" Nami pointed at him but Light held his hand up to keep her quiet.
"Sharaina is kind so maybe that's why you don't like her. She is your exact opposite. I hope her good nature will one day rub off on you." Light concluded and walked away.
Nami began to hyperventilate in anger. She stormed back into the mansion leaving Stariss and Jayniss tensed. Stariss sat down and frowned. Jayniss sat beside her and held her shoulder. When Stariss turned to face her, she saw Jayniss smiling at her ear to ear.
"Don't be sad. You did the right thing by telling papa. If it wasn't for you, three lives would have been ruined." Jayniss beckoned.
"I just hope mama one day forgives me. Seeing how Light was depressed that day made me realize just how much Sharaina meant to him. I never saw it before because I was blinded by my misguided hatred for her. Mama told me that Light was obsessed with her and that we had to set him free from her clutches." Stariss sighed. "Jayniss, Sharaina isn't so bad. She is just a lot different from us."
Jayniss chuckled. "Yes she is different in her own way. I have spent a great deal of time with her. She is one of the sweetest people I know. I assure you that you will like her a lot once you get to know her."
"In deed I will." Stariss smiled at Jayniss. The both of them happily watched Akirexer go back into the house.

Light found Velan playing the piano with Sharaina sitting beside him. She looked beautiful in her knee high maroon flared dress and matching scarf. Her hair wasn't tied in a ponytail like usual. She instead let it flow down to underneath her bum. Diamond hair pins kept her hair from getting into her face and they complimented her diamond earrings. On her feet were peach open toed high heels.
Light smiled at the both of them chatting and laughing together. He watched Lara join them. She leaned on the piano and sang while Velan played.
Light was relieved that it was only Nami that was unhappy that Sharaina was there. He didn't want anyone stressing her out especially with the fact that she was still grieving her miscarriage. Velan caught sight of Light and he stopped playing.
"Are we all set to leave?" He asked Light.
"Yes we are. Stariss and Jayniss are already waiting outside. We must leave now if we are to get there on time." Light happily stated
"And your mother?" Velan asked him with his eyebrows up.
"I am not sure. Perhaps you should check on her and see if she will come with us." Light quickly answered and Velan held his chin.
"Oh I am coming." Nami suddenly said as she got down the stairs in a beautiful body hugging silver long dress. Lara frowned at the color her mother chose to wear because it matched her tight lace sleeved silver dress. "If you are done making all that noise, we should head out now." Nami reprimanded them and walked right out.
Outside were three carriages. Velan and Nami got into the first one. Light and Sharaina got into the second one whereas the girls got into the last one. In no time, all three carriages were on the road.
Sharaina rested her head on Light's shoulder as she looked out the window. Light had told her that they were invited to a wedding anniversary party by one of their biggest business partners.
The three carriages rode for an hour before they came to a halt. The riders got off their seats and opened the doors. Light helped Sharaina off and she looked at the resort before her in awe.
Everyone there appeared to be rich. They wore expensive clothes, ate expensive food and drank expensive wine. They also spoke to each other with sophisticated mannerisms. Sharaina squeezed Light's hand and he kissed the top of her head.
"I don't know why I just can't get used to parties like this." Sharaina whispered to Light.
"Trust me, it will be over before you know it." He whispered back and she reluctantly nodded her head.
"Velan! You are here!" Wayu excitedly said and gave Velan a big hug. "Nami you too!" Nami let out her hand but he ignored it and gave her a big hug that left everyone feeling awkward. "You are welcome! I was starting to fear that you weren't going to come."
"Oh you know that we could never miss any of your parties. I'm actually excited that I finally get to meet your wife." Nami said with a grin.
"You are definitely right." Wayu laughed. He turned to Light and Sharaina. He took a look at Sharaina and lust filled his eyes for he was stricken by her beauty and charm. He walked over to them and extended his hand to Sharaina. Sharaina let out her hand and he kissed it with a dramatic bow leaving Sharaina feeling awkward. "This must be your new daughter in law." He started. "I am saddened that you didn't invite me to the wedding Velan."
"It was short notice." Velan explained with a slight apologetic bow.
"I forgive you." Wayu smiled warmly. He turned around and exclaimed, "WHERE IS MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE?"
Tamithra got startled and spelt wine on her white floral dress. She scowled at Wayu. "Why do you always find the need to yell suddenly? This will be the second time that I change my dress this morning" She scolded him but Wayu kissed her on her cheek.
"Everyone has to know that I have the most beautiful wife here." He giggled and everyone laughed with him. "Light has the second most beautiful wife." He raised his wine glass to Light.
Everyone laughed merrily except Light and Sharaina who stood there shocked to see Tamithra. When Tamithra saw them, she almost lost her balance. She angrily looked at Sharaina but quickly, with a snap of a finger, her scowl was replaced with a smirk. Tamithra went over to Light and Sharaina.
"So you have now finally let go of your unhealthy hold on your brother? Congratulations on finally growing up." Tamithra snarled low enough to prevent anyone from hearing her.
"I can see that fall you had years ago didn't knock some sense into your brain." Sharaina retorted back. "Maybe you would want to be thrown over that table over there." she slickly gestured with her hand.
"You can't do anything to me. Your husband won't let you the same way he refused to let you hit me that afternoon at the baby shower." Tamithra snickered and turned to Light who was clearly disgusted by her. "My offer is still up. I can take over after her. I promise you that we will have a good time."
Sharaina just smiled at Tamithra. This puzzled her because she had expected Sharaina to snap at her. Tamithra felt someone standing behind her. When she turned she met Wayu's angry eyes. He pulled her away from the party and went with her in the lodge.
"As annoying as she is, I hope Mr. Wayu doesn't hurt her." Sharaina said.
"I am almost positive that he will." Light added.

Wayu slapped Tamithra so hard that she hit the wall. He grabbed her by her hair and pulled her to the mirror. Tamithra held onto her hair whimpering.
"Why do you force my hand Tamithra? First it was Naian and now it is Velan's son! What do you take my love for?" He furiously asked her.
"I have already told you that I don't love you. Why can't you just let me go?" Tamithra retorted back.
Wayu threw her to the bed and took off his belt. Tamithra crawled away backwards. She looked at him with so much fear and he stared back at her with mean eyes. Without taking his eyes off her, he took off his tie and tossed it across the room. He pulled Tamithra's legs and pinned her down.
"It appears that you are horny. Let's get rid of all that lust in you so that you don't go around flirting with other men."
He grinned at her and sent chills down her spin. Wayu forced a kiss on her while she struggled underneath him. Before she knew it, he was already inside her. Tamithra tried to get him off but he was too strong for her. The sex was rough and hot. They both had their orgasms at the same time.
Tamithra felt so disgusted with herself for having an orgasm during another rape. She continued to lay helpless on the bed with her dress up above her waist while Wayu zipped up.
"I will be waiting for you outside. You know the consequences of disobeying me." He threatened and slammed the door behind him. Tamithra turned to her side and cried deeply.

Sharaina was talking to Jayniss and Stariss when she saw Wayu cheerfully join the party alone. She began to fear if Tamithra was okay. Light approached her from behind and cleared his throat to get her attention. Jayniss and Stariss giggled while Sharaina shyly smiled at Light.
"Come with me, there are some people I want to introduce you to." He said with a boyish smile.
Sharaina held Light's arm as they joined Velan, Wayu and some other men talking. Light introduced Sharaina and pleasantries were exchanged. Soon after, the conversation took a business turn.
Sharaina was visibly bored by the ongoing rich people gibberish as she liked to put it. She sipped on her wine trying her best not to expose her indifference. She heard Wayu say something to Light but she was too busy thinking about what she would rather be doing at that point to listen.
"Alright you can send them over tomorrow and I will sign them when I get off work." Sharaina heard Light say.
"Okay I will have someone bring the documents in the afternoon at two."
"Be sure to bring them to my mansion in Cherilisia." Light said and Sharaina turned to him stunned.
"Oh you will not be living in Gemhules?" Wayu asked with a devious grin.
"Not at all. My job is demanding so I can't move back to Gemhules. I will continue living in Cherilisia with my wife."
Both Sharaina and Nami frowned at that. While Nami was hoping that her son wouldn't drift any further away from her; Sharaina thought about how much she was going to miss her family. She was very happy that she was going to be living just across the road from them but to her dismay, Light had other plans.
'No, I shouldn't be sad. My home is now with my husband.' She comforted herself.
Tamithra cheerfully joined everyone. Sharaina noticed that she had applied heavier make up. It was obvious to her that it was to hide her bruises. Tamithra wore a long sleeved grey dress but Sharaina was able to spot a red bruise on her shoulder as she hugged a guest who had just arrived. She shook her head in pity.
Three hours into the party, Tamithra joined Nami and a group of other women. Tamithra looked closely at Nami and remembered that she had seen her during Emelinia's baby shower. Nami's facial expression indicated that she too recognized Tamithra. She excused herself and pulled Tamithra away.
"I am still shocked that you are Mr Wayu's wife." Nami said to Tamithra.
"I am also surprised that you are Sharaina's mother in law." Tamithra's response was met with a scowl. "Oh my, you aren't a fan of your daughter in law." She said but Nami said nothing. "Don't worry I hate her too." Tamithra chuckled. "But alas I can't get close to her so as to insult her because she keeps clinging to your son. Wayu is the jealous type."
Nami smiled. "Why don't we think of a way to humiliate her? You can't get close to her but I can." She waved her eyebrows and the two of them snickered.
The both of them watched Light go over to Velan with Sharaina holding his hand. Velan and Wayu turned to them giving them both their undivided attention. Light explained to Velan that he and Sharaina had to leave. While Velan was stunned by this, Wayu smiled deviously at it.
"It's okay, let them go. There is nothing wrong with a man wanting to spend some time alone with his new wife." Wayu cheerfully said.
"Alright son you may leave but please say good bye to your mother first." Velan agreed.
"What, you're leaving?" Nami suddenly asked.
"Yes we are. I have some pending work that needs taking care of." Light explained.
Damn it, this girl seems to be so lucky. "Son, why don't you leave Sharaina with us. She will come to you when the party is over. You have mentioned that you have some work to do. It won't be right to let her stay all alone in your mansion." Nami sweetly said and it puzzled Light.
"Nonsense, let her go with him. The both of them just got married so they could use some privacy." Wayu chirped in to Nami's dismay.
"But..." She tried.
"Mr. Wayu is right. She should go with him." Velan supported.
Still not giving up, Nami argued. "What's the point if he is going to leave her home and head for the office?"
"It's okay mama. I am not going to my office. My work is at the mansion." Light assured everyone. Nami went silent at that point. "Well see you. I will see if we can come over two weekends from now."
Light took Sharaina's hand and led her away from the party. He opened a portal and they stepped onto Light's yard in Cherilisia. His butler and three maids saw them and they ran down stairs to welcome them.
They bowed respectfully to Light and Sharaina. Sharaina smiled warmly at them. Only one maid was able to smile back at her. The rest kept their eyes down.
"Welcome back young master and Miss Sharaina." The butler said. His bold head was shining in the sun light.
"She is no longer a Miss." Light said with a mischievous grin.
The maids widened their eyes and smiled excitedly. "Congratulations young master." They said at once. They turned to Sharaina. "Young mistress, you are welcome."
Sharaina chuckled at that. "Thank you very much."
The both of them went up to the bedroom. Sharaina took off her heels and threw herself on the queen sized bed. Light took off his jacket and tie and sat down on the couch.
His guitar was lying on the floor and it caught Sharaina's attention. She got off the bed and picked it up. Light smiled at her as she walked over to him with it.
"You want me to play something for you?" He asked her and she nodded her head. "Would you mind getting a red book in the closet. There's a song in there I haven't played for you yet."
Sharaina got up and walked to the closet. She was surprised to see it filled with all sorts of beautiful women's clothing and shoes. Everything was of her taste and size.
Sharaina admired a specific brown coat and she pulled it off the hang wire. She smelt it and it was brand new. Without wasting any more time, she tried it on and twirled around in it. She picked a sun hat and went to the mirror where she giggled at her own reflection.
Sharaina saw the red book Light was referring to on the table and picked it up. She put it in her coat pocket and grabbed the sunglasses she found on the table too. Light laughed at the sight of her emerging from the closet dressed as she was. She danced a silly dance as she approached him.
"Come on knack it off." Light laughed.
"You filled out a whole closet for me? Light you are too much."
"I had so much faith that you were going to be my wife so I spent some time preparing this house for you to come and live with me. I hope the clothes are to your liking. Jayniss and Lara did the shopping. They said that I would ruin everything if I bought the clothes myself."
"They have a fabulous taste in fashion." Sharaina sat on his lap and put her arms around his neck. "You too have a keen taste in fashion. I only hated one dress you bought for me."
"Huh? Which one?" Light asked her stunned.
"That navy blue one you got for me for my 85th birthday." Sharaina took off her sunglasses so that Light could see her rolling her eyes at him.
"What was wrong with it?" Light still puzzled.
"The design was horrible and it was too tight on my breasts. I could barely breathe in it. It actually ripped from the back when I went to the bathroom."
"Oh yeah I remember that I had to give you my jacket that night." Light laughed. "Well it taught me to be more careful with your measurements."
Sharaina pulled out the red book from her coat. "Here, play me the song quick so that you can do the work you said you have to do."
"What work?" Light asked her with a devious grin and he waved his eyebrows up and down. "I have no work to do. I just used that as an excuse so that I could have you all to myself moreover you were bored there." He laughed and held Sharaina who had her eyes narrowed at him.
"Seriously, you are such a clown sometimes Light. You even had me fooled."
"You're saying that as if it is a bad thing. Come on give me a kiss." Light stretched his lips.
Sharaina got off him and put his guitar on his laps. She pointed to the red book. "I want you to play me a song first. Only after that will I give you a kiss." She teased him and he chuckled.
"Well I guess it can't be helped." Light began to play sweetly for Sharaina.

King Meelzib stood motionless staring at his throne. He had dark rings around his eyes due to lack of sleep. In his hand was a glass of wine he had only sipped on once. Lavila and Luven stood in silence behind him. They also heard of how Sharaina was still alive and well to the point of getting married. They knew nothing they would say would ease King Meelzib's stress so they just smirked at his back.
"I have never been this stressed in my entire life. I can safely say that I have forgotten what peace feels like." King Meelzib's low voice echoed in the throne room.
"Some enemies are slippery my King." Luven voiced out, feigning sympathy.
King Meelzib laughed softly at his response. "Yes I agree. Luven, other enemies are right under your nose." King Meelzib turned to them and pointed at Luven. "Did you believe her when she told you that she is expecting your child?" King Meelzib asked him with a demented psychopathic grin.
