Chapter 60: Chapter 60

Sharaina sat on Light's bed with her legs folded. She was watching Light look for a book in his closet. Light walked out of the closet with the very book he didn't want her to read the last time she was there. He gave it to her and sat down close to her. Sharaina opened the book and she frowned at the encryptions Light used. She couldn't make anything of the secret gamarax manipulator language.

She started to read the words aloud when Light covered her mouth. She looked at him stunned as he shook his head sideways. He slowly took his hand off her mouth and he took the book away from her. He turned a few pages and handed the book back to her. Sharaina read again and this time she was able to understand.

"Do not read what you see aloud. I don't want my mother to sense what we are doing. Remember I told you that before you, I hadn't told anyone about this." Light cautioned her.

"I'm sorry, I will be careful from now on." Sharaina said.

"No, it's fine. You didn't know any better." Light answered with a smile. He felt in his pocket and pulled out three marbles. "I want to try to teleport these three marbles in the same location." He got up.

Sharaina watched him put the marbles in three different corners of the room. He faced the corner that had no marble and drew a teleportation circle. He looked over at Sharaina and she gave him two thumbs up to encourage him.

Light smiled at her and turned away from her. He then began to chant. The circle turned purple and everything in the room including Sharaina rose up in the air. Sharaina did not like the feeling of being forced up in the air against her will. She waved her hands as she struggled to balance herself in the air.

Finally Light was done and everything got back down. He turned to one corner and he saw that the marble was gone. He looked at another corner and saw the same. When he turned to check on the third marble, he was shocked to see that not only was it gone but Sharaina too. He got up in panic and looked around the room.

Light remembered that Sharaina could open portals now and it calmed him down a little. She was going to return to him as soon as she saw that she was teleported.

Sevilon slammed his hand on Ouman's desk in frustration. "How could you have lost her Ouman?"

"She was walking too fast. I asked the people there if they knew her but none of them did." Ouman remorsefully explained.

Sevilon got up and walked away from the desk with his hands in his pockets.

"Our search is proving to be tougher by the minute. Ouman, we are running out of time. King Meelzib has already started hunting down our future queen. We must find this girl at all costs." Sevilon said.

"Urgh!" echoed across the hallways when King Meelzib received the latest report regarding the hunt for the future queen. "I can't believe that my search has been fruitless!" King Meelzib clenched his fists in anger.

"Please calm down my King." Luven said. "She will be found. You need not worry. We are all doing everything we can to find her."

Sharaina hid behind the wall of the room where King Meelzib and Luven were talking. She still had not come to terms with the shock of having been teleported into the ROYAL CASTLE.

Luckily for her she didn't attract any attention to herself upon arrival because she found no one when she appeared there.

Sharaina peeped at King Meelzib and Luven. She could clearly see that whoever King Meelzib couldn't find got him so frustrated. She wondered who she was and why she had the courage to stress out the King of Dark Star.

Sharaina looked away in fear of being spotted and she saw Light's three marbles on the floor. She quietly backed away from the wall and picked them up. She was about to leave when she heard;

"My King, I suggest you focus of conquering the realm of the Vexa reptiles - Green. Finding her is just as important as expanding the kingdom." Luven calmly suggested.

"You are right. We will attack Green today. Dispatch the troops." King Meelzib said.

Sharaina covered her mouth in shock. She felt so afraid for the vexa reptiles. For eons the creatures had lived dependent only on themselves. They rarely mingled with other beings. Despite their anti-social nature, they were peaceful beings.

Two gamarax manipulators raced into the room and bowed down before King Meelzib.

"There has been a breach in the security seal. An intruder is in the castle." One of them huffed.

Sharaina gasped and promptly left. The last words she heard before running down the stairs was King Meelzib's order to find the intruder at all costs.

Sharaina came face to face with a maid. The maid was stunned to see her there because that part of the castle was restricted only to authorized personnel. She was about to alert the guards when Sharaina knocked her out with a punch. Sharaina dragged the unconscious maid into a nearby room.

Sharaina tried to draw a portal circle but all she got were sparks that hurt her fingers. She realized that she couldn't open any portal whilst in the castle.

That frustrated her so much. She heard the sound of guards running down the hallways and she felt her heart beat fast. Sharaina bit her finger as she thought about what to do.

She looked at the unconscious maid and snapped her fingers. She then took off the maid's uniform and wore it. She put her dress and shoes in a plastic bag that she found in the maid's apron. As soon as she was done dressing up, the door suddenly flung open and bursting in were four guards. They all looked at Sharaina annoyed.

"What are you doing here?" One of the guards asked her.

"I was cleaning sir." Sharaina quickly answered.

"Go downstairs right now. There's an intruder in the castle. Everyone has been ordered to go downstairs while we search." The very guard said and Sharaina left the room. With the corner of her eye, she saw the unconscious woman hidden perfectly under the table.

When Light saw that it was already thirty minutes passed the time he accidentally teleported Sharaina, he began to feel so worried sick. He cussed at himself for being so careless. He didn't even know where he had sent her because things got mixed up as he was teleporting the marbles. If anything happened to Sharaina, he was never going to forgive himself.

Light sat on the floor and folded his legs. He closed his eyes and used his tracking powers to at least try and find where he sent Sharaina.

It took a few minutes of searching and finally he found her. He faced a lot of interference from other gamarax manipulators. They blocked him at every point. Light began to suspect that he sent her to a forbidden place.

He pushed harder and the gamarax manipulators on the other side hit him hard with their telepathic powers. Light cut off his connection immediately and held his pounding head.

He felt as though the room was spinning. He got so desperate that he thought of calling his mother. She was an experienced gamarax manipulator. At this point only she would help him get Sharaina back.

Sharaina made her way downstairs. She walked passed everyone and went straight for the door. Unfortunately for her, the guards refused to let anyone out of the castle until the intruder was caught.

Sharaina walked back and stood amongst the murmuring servants. She looked to her left and saw a door that was unguarded. She carefully walked to it taking care not to draw attention to herself.

She sighed in relief when she found no one inside the room. Sharaina opened the curtains and hastily tried to open the window. It was unfortunately locked shut.

'Someone has gone in that room without your permission.'

It was at that point that she had no choice but to punch the window hence shuttering it.The guards heard the window break and they broke down the door. They saw her run away outside and they all charged at her. King Meelzib heard the commotion and he looked down his terrace. He was astonished to see a blonde, tall and not of age girl running across his yard.

"Luven she is here!" King Meelzib exclaimed and activated his weapon.

Sharaina tried to open a portal as she ran but it was the same painful static energy. She was agitated that even opening a portal outside the castle was impossible. She however had hoped that if she got out of the gates, she was going to succeed. The guards at the gate started to charge at her too.

One appeared in front of her and she tackled him to the ground. Sharaina lunged up and landed right outside the gate. She wasted no time in opening a portal and she ran into it. King Meelzib's sword missed Sharaina and hit a wall of a building so hard that it exploded. King Meelzib shouted in frustration when he realized that she got away.

"That stupid girl has taken me for a fool. Not only is she after my throne but she has the audacity to break into my castle in order to assassinate me? I will make her suffer greatly for this insult!"

Light was about to lose his mind when the servants told him that his mother had just gone out. He went back to his room in panic and started walking back and forth when Sharaina reappeared in his room. He pulled her close and hugged her tight. Sharaina felt bad for having worried him. She hugged him back and the two stayed like that.

"I am so sorry. I was so careless." Light said.

"It's okay I managed to escape." Sharaina said to him.

"Where were you?" Light asked her.

"I was in the royal castle."

"What? That explains why I couldn't track you down. I experienced a heavy blockage." Light said

"The gamarax manipulators sensed that their seal was broken. I barely got out in one piece." Sharaina explained. She took out the marbles from her apron pocket. "Look they were teleported with me too." Sharaina smiled at him. "Your experiment has shown positive results." Sharaina told him.

"This is great. Now all I have to do is to work on sending to the right destination." Light answered and took the marbles from Sharaina. He took a closer look at her clothes. "I'm assuming that the maid uniform was part of the escape plan." He said.

"You got that right." Sharaina answered with a chuckle.

Light laughed softly too but when he saw Sharaina's bleeding hand he stopped. He gently held her hand and said, "You are hurt."

"Oh I didn't feel that I was." Sharaina looked at her wound. "Someone threw their sword at me right before I escaped into a portal." she whimpered. "I wish you didn't show me the wound. Now I can feel its stinging pain."

Light made her sit on the bed. "Hold still while I heal you." He said and placed his hand on the wound. The purple light appeared underneath his hand and Sharaina's wound began to close up. When it was completely healed, Light withdrew his hand. "How do you feel now?" He asked her.

"I'm feeling a whole lot better. Thank you." Sharaina smiled at him.

"Next time I won't do an experiment with you in the room. I would never forgive myself if something were to happen to you because of me." Light told her. He went into his bathroom and came back with a wet clothe to wipe the blood off her hand.

"It's alright don't stress yourself over this." Sharaina said and when she saw that Light was done cleaning her, she got up. "I think it's time I went home now." Sharaina said and Light frowned.

"Can't you stay a little bit longer?" Light pulled her back and made her sit on his laps.

Sharaina laughed softly. "Light you know I must return home."

Light pouted. "I don't like this issue of you having to leave me every time you visit. I literally get only hours to be with you."

Sharaina put her hand over his shoulder. "Come on don't be like that. This is just how things are right now."

"If it wasn't for that damned law I would have married you by now." Light chuckled. "That way, I would have had the right to be with you most of the time."

Sharaina pulled her lips forward. "Is this your way of asking me to marry you?" She asked him.

"Will you? Let's forget about the law." He whined.

"There's a reason it's there." Sharaina laughed. "There are too many divorce cases among those who are below the age of ninety."

"That's because they aren't sure of what they want. Are you telling me you are not sure of becoming my wife Sharaina?" Light made her lie down and he got on top of her.

Sharaina chuckled softly and put her hand to his chest. "Light what are you doing, your mother may walk in on us." she playfully cautioned him.

"She won't come in here don't worry. Just answer me Sharaina. Will you marry me?"

"Where's my ring?"

Light's eyes widened and he gave Sharaina a grin. "It is still at the shop." He lied with a laugh.

Sharaina slipped away and got up. She opened a portal to her home. "Go and get it, then come back to me and ask me again." She winked at him and disappeared into the portal leaving Light smiling to himself.

Naian got into his room and found Emelinia lying down on the bed. From the look of things, she was feeling so miserable. He sat next to her and held her hand. He lovingly looked into her eyes and she gave his hand a gentle squeeze.

"Emelinia, I have noticed that you are not well. What's the matter?" He asked her.

"Nothing is wrong with me I assure you that I am fine." Emelinia told him.

Naian shook his head. "Please don't lie to me Emelinia. It is clear that you aren't well. Let us go to the hospital."

Emelinia sat upright. "Okay let us go. But first I need you to take out a comb for me in my hand bag." Emelinia said to Naian.

Naian went over to the dressing table and picked up Emelinia's hand bag. He slowly opened the zip and searched for the comb. He suddenly paused with his eyes fixed in the bag. Emelinia smiled warmly at him because she knew exactly what caught his attention.

Naian slowly pulled out the tiny white jersey and tinny white boots. He looked back at Emelinia in shock and she nodded her head with a bright smile on her face. Naian rushed to her and held her hands.

"Are you...?" He excitedly asked.

"Yes I am Naian." She answered and Naian hugged her.

"I am going to be a father. This is the best news you have ever given me Emelinia. Words will never be able to express my joy."
