Chapter 55: Chapter 55
Light and Sharaina giggled at each other in a restaurant. Light decided to take her out to dinner before escorting her back to her dorm. He feared that cooking dinner was going to take longer and Sharaina was going to get locked in. The two of them chuckled and held each other's hands as they waited for their order.
The two of them were so engrossed in their conversation that they did not see Velan and Nami looking right at them from a table that wasn't so far away from them. Nami was glaring at Sharaina while Velan silently ate his food.
"I can't believe that you have failed to talk some sense into your son." Nami scolded Velan. "I will just have to do something about this."
"No you will not." Velan said and Nami looked at him astonished. "I haven't seen Light that happy with anyone before. If Sharaina makes him happy, I will not stand in his way of happiness."
"Are you insane?" Nami asked him surprised.
Velan shook his head. "I am a father. My child's happiness is my priority. Let him be with her Nami. There's no harm in it. Alamva will still do business with us."
"You know that I will never accept her." Nami drank her wine.
"You will end up pushing Light away and into her arms if you continue with that attitude Nami." Velan warned Nami and she scoffed. "This is my decision, we will not interfere in Light's decision to be with Sharaina. I accept their relationship. Now enough about this." Velan ordered Nami and she faced away angrily.

"Light there's something I have been meaning to tell you." Sharaina said after a waiter placed their food on the table. "The other day I discovered a dimension. It completely had no life forms on it." she continued with excitement.
"What, are you serious?" Light was puzzled.
"It was vast, sandy and rocky." Sharaina described it with awe in her eyes. "Wouldn't it be great to dump all the Kremis there? We would save a lot of money on reconstruction of infrastructure destroyed by Kremis attacks." Sharaina added.
Light held his chin. "That wouldn't be a bad idea Sharaina. Remember the morning when you woke up in my room and I wouldn't let you see what I was writing?" Light asked her and she nodded her head. "Well, I am working on a complex teleportation spell. If all goes well, we can be able to teleport millions of beings from one place to another at the same time.
We would do away with having third parties in the teleportation circles. So far, a scholar known as Bahima created a way in which gamarax manipulators can teleport themselves and another person by only drawing one teleportation circle and looking at the other person whilst in the circle. My research is based on her discovery. I would have loved to study under her but she resigned and no one has seen her since. Rumor has it that she was kidnapped by the mid night crawlers." Light explained.
Sharaina gasped. "So your technique wouldn't require the gamarax manipulator to see anyone but just think about them whilst they are in the teleportation circle? Light that's amazing." she beamed.
"I haven't told anyone about this yet because I want to perfect it first. Right now it is all just theories and assumptions. I have carried out a few tests but so far so good. When you come by next time, I will show you my discoveries so far." Light said.
"Light, if you succeed in this, we will be able to transfer all the Kremis into that dimension." Sharaina said and Light smiled at her.
Jayniss arrived and joined the couple at the table. "I am so sorry I'm late." she apologized with a giggle.
"When are you ever early?" Light teased her and both she and Sharaina chuckled.
"Hey don't make fun of me in front of Sharaina. I haven't yet made my first impression yet." Jayniss playfully pinched Light. "Where are my manners, how are you doing?" she greeted Sharaina.
"I am fine thanks. I can see that you are too."

Naian got back into the covers and placed his back on a pillow pile Emelinia arranged. She held her aching head and Naian gave her a gentle squeeze on her hand.
Emelinia scooted closer to him and smiled faintly at him. She handed him his pills. Naian threw them at the back of his throat and took the water Emelinia held out to him.
Naian saw that Emelinia was lost in thought. "I know you had a vision Emelinia. What did you see?" he asked her.
"Naian I saw her again." Emelinia began. "Sharaina was on the throne and she had a crown on her head. She was addressing the Kingdom and everyone present bowed down before her. I don't understand this."
Naian held his chin. "You saw her as queen again? This is very strange. Dano mentioned that most of the things you see are in puzzle form so this could be one of them."
"Perhaps you are right. I wish there was a way for me to see him and ask him about this." Emelinia answered.
"Queen Sharaina...that would be something." Naian chuckled. "You really need to start studying your books though. The earlier, the better."
"Yes you are right."

King Meelzib furiously glared at the council of elders. They all looked back at him with calm and peaceful faces. They had delivered their latest prophecy and that is all that mattered to them. King Meelzib threw his wine glass at them and it splattered against the wall.
"I asked you the future of my power and you tell me that you see gold." King Meelzib said with his eyes closed.
"Golden hair underneath the crown." The council of elders said together at once.
King Meelzib slapped one of them so hard that he went into hibernation immediately. The rest of the council trembled in fear and murmured amongst themselves. They looked away as two guards carried the unconscious elder away. King Meelzib gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.
"I am not here for jokes. I will have you all executed if you keep on telling me this nonsense!" he roared.
"What we tell you is the truth King Meelzib. A new ruler is to emerge. She will be one of the greatest leaders of Dark Star. She is the destined ruler of Dark Star. We have seen her sit on the golden throne with her golden hair gracing it. She will come for throne." They said at once.
"Urgh! Umandaang!" King Meelzib roared and Umandaang appeared.
"Yes my King." Umandaang said. "What is your command?"
"Devour these useless old fools." he ordered and Umandaang blew smoke out of his nostrils.
"No my son. You cannot kill them." Lavila suddenly screamed and Umandaang growled. "Listen to me my son, I agree that the prophecy is infuriating but killing off the council of elders isn't what we need to do now. What they are saying is true and we must focus on that. You always rebuke me over thinking with my emotions yet you are doing the same too? Come on you are smarter than this." she reasoned with him.
"This prophecy will never come true. Not as long as I am still alive." King Meelzib declared to the council of elders.

"Mama you should have seen how rudely he spoke to me. I'm telling you the Light who we knew and loved is no longer in existence." Stariss pouted.
Stariss decided to take some time off from the academy and paid her parents a visit in Gemhules.
"Your father has completely refused to listen to me." Nami said with a sigh. "I just can't see what Light sees in that girl. It's like he has been completely blinded by her beauty. Keeping him away from Yolin was the biggest mistake we ever made."
"Well, with father on his side, there is nothing we can do." Stariss leaned back with slumped shoulders.
Nami shook her head. "No my child. There is still so much more that we can do."
"What can we do? Confront Sharaina and warn her to stay away from Light?" Stariss asked.
"That will only push Light to her." Nami said thoughtfully. "You have already said it yourself that he spoke to you rudely just because you told him off about his foolish decision. Right now his priority is Sharaina."
"So what do we do now mama? We can't honestly accept this relationship. I miss my older brother. I miss the times when he cared about me. Now all he cares about is Sharaina and it sickens me. I will never accept her."
Nami laughed. "You will accept her Stariss. I also will accept her."
Stariss was confused. "Mama, what are you saying?"
"We will pretend to have accepted Sharaina. We will be so good to her that when we finally get rid of her, Light will apologize to us for choosing her over us. As for Yolin's family, we will not inform them about the cancelation of the engagement. This wedding will happen. Mark my words."
"You sound so confident mama." Stariss grinned deviously.
"We have plenty of time to do what needs to be done. Light cannot marry her until she is at least ninty." Nami laughed.
"Oh yes, I forgot about that new law." Stariss snickered.

One week later.
Emelinia sat on her carpet with her legs folded. She opened the book Naian had gotten for her in Perivion. Now that Naian was all better, she felt that it was best that she started reading.
She flipped the book and her eyes fell on the first page. She ran her finger on the page as she read. Emelinia read about how seers predict the future through dreams, visions and instincts. She remembered her dream and vision about Sharaina being queen and she held her chin.
What could all that have meant?
Emelinia turned the page and she read about how no one can ever sense her presence. Due to the fragile nature of seers, concealing their presence naturally was a defense mechanism.
Emelinia was intrigued by that and wrote down some notes. As she read, she came across a part where it was explained that she could not only open portals but open a spying window that enabled her to check on someone without them sensing that they were being watched.
The instructions guiding her instructed her to think about who she wants to see and wave her right hand in the air. Emelinia took a deep breath and thought about Channy. She proceeded to wave her hand in the air and behold, a bright light appeared.
Emelinia was amazed by it. She got to her knees and looked into it. She was so happy to see her mother sleeping soundly with Lakki on her chest.
Emelinia frowned when the light suddenly disappeared. She went back to the book and it explained that the spying window could only last for a maximum of five minutes.
Emelinia closed her book and put it on her headboard. She put on her shoes and hurried down stairs.
"Where are you rushing to?" Akirexer asked her, puzzled.
"I am going to see Naian. I have something to show him." she excitedly said and dashed out.

Tamithra watched Sharumez and Janala leave in a wagon. She noticed that they didn't lock the shop so that meant that Naian was in there and alone. Tamithra fixed her make up and went inside the shop.
She found Naian sawing a piece of wood. She was completely enchanted by his sweaty and bare chest. She admitted that his body had gotten harder than the last time she saw it. Naian was stunned to see Tamithra there. He put his saw down and he grabbed his shirt.
"Tamithra, what are you doing here?" he asked her.
"I came to see you. Can you not see that I am not over you Naian?" Tamithra asked him.
"What is all this now Tamithra?" Naian asked her sternly.
Tamithra threw herself on Naian and hugged him tight. She cried loudly into his chest and Naian rolled his eyes. He tried to get her off him but she was just too stubborn.
"You know that you will never love Emelinia the way you love me. Why do you keep faking your love for her? Your place isn't with her but it is with me and it always will be." Tamithra cried.
"Tamithra---" Naian paused when he saw Emelinia at the door.
