Chapter 42: Chapter 42

Joanna's POV

"Tenda you are getting the chicken, Harmony you are getting the chips," I ordered.

"Alright, now get off, your weight is killing me!" Harmony whined.

"Nope," I disagreed and instead got more comfortable on his body.

"Help me out here," He said to Tenda, in which she smirked and advanced towards us.

"Eeek!" I screamed and jumped off Harmony as I felt her tickle me.

"Thank you." He let out in gratitude towards her while she laughed at the expression I was wearing.

"Payback," She snickered.

I snorted and walked off. "Come on people, my stomach can't wait any longer."

"Yes princess, we are at your service," Harmony spoke sarcastically as Tenda mumbled something under her breath.

"Tenda go get the chips and drinks, Harmony you know what is left, go get me some fine chicken." I grinned.

"Wait, I thought I was to---, never mind," Tenda started but thought better of it as she rolled her eyes and did as I said.

"I changed my mind, now shoo, while I get a spot for us to sit." I gleamed at them and wandered over to a corner, where I glanced around in search of a suitable area to sit.

"Bossy," I heard Harmony grumble before I walked off but instead decided to ignore him.

To find a place to seat at crunchies was always a difficult task, not that the place is usually crowded, but to find a good spot to sit was the main issue.

Hence you can't seat directly close to the entrance doors, and it's unhealthy to seat close to the toilet area as someone who just took a shit might walk past you with the foul scent on them. You can't also sit right in the middle of the eaterie hence that would make you an easy center for attention.

Instead, you need to find a good angle with a nice view by the window or a corner with a bit distance away from the door, so you can have a good view of the city and who comes and goes.

So, that was my predicament at that moment.

Wish you had gotten to get the food huh? My subconscious taunted, to which I bobbed my head as my orbs kept glancing around until I spotted it.

"Yass, uh-huh, yeah yeah, uh-huh," I quietly sang, while I endeavored to skip discreetly, but I guessed I failed at that because the weird looks people were lending me said it all, plus--

"What are you doing?" Harmony contested, the same time Tenda burst out laughing as they both watched me skip to the table I had chosen.

"How does Frank cope with you?" Tenda inquired shaking her head.

I bestowed a little frown, followed by a heavy sigh. "Maybe he doesn't want to cope with me anymore."

"What did you----," She started but got cut off by Harmony.

"I'm gonna kill him, will I get away with it? Wait, to heck with that, I need to kill him first," Harmony uttered as his eyes turned a deep black shade.

"Awwwn, come here my dear," Tenda invited as she shifted her seat a bit close to mine. "Harmony sit down."

"Where the fuck can I get him, just give me a hint, a fvcking hint and I'm there." Harmony rambled on, ignoring Tenda's order.

"I said, sit down!" Tenda exclaimed and gave him a stare that said 'sit down this minute or you would end up being the one that got killed'

And it seemed he understood the look because he immediately did as he was told, but still went on muttering profanities under his breath.

"So," She turned to me, "Spill."

"You know on my birthday right?" I questioned, in which they nodded.

"He traveled the night before that day and he wasn't supposed to return till the next day hence that was what he had said in that video," I continued.

"Yeah." Tenda affirmed, "He did say so."

"What video?" Harmony inquired, perplexed.

"The video he sent to her on her birthday." Tenda groaned, "The one of the guitar."

"Well turns out he did come back that night," I blurted and sniffed at their shocked expressions.

"He did."

"See? This is why I need to kill him, I don't care if he's my friend, he hurt my bestfriend so he needs to die." Harmony smirked, an evil look taking shape in his eyes.

"Wait, how did you know about all this?" Tenda queried.

"Well, I saw his post that night on WhatsApp, you guys may not have seen it as it got deleted after I viewed it. I didn't think much of it then but when I ran into the post recently on Instagram I saw he was really home that night," I replied.

"How did you know it was that night?" Harmony interrogated.

"He used that Snapchat filter which has date and time on one end when you take a picture," I answered.

"Now, I'm beginning to get it, which post actually." Tenda conversed as I could literally see the wheels of her brain turning.

"Yeah, which post, I follow him on Instagram so I may have seen it." Harmony spoke.

"Do you remember that post of him and a girl? Sitting side by side on a sofa?" I asked in the hope they could recall.

"I do, I saw something like that last week on IG but I didn't think to check the date written there as I assumed it was something recent, and that you may know the girl, seeing as you didn't bring it up the last time we had a girls night." Tenda rambled.

"You guys had a girls' night without me?" Harmony questioned and I scoffed while Tenda rolled her eyes.

"That's not the point hobo," She growled.

"Anyway, I could swear I noticed the date but I brushed it off, like Tend had said, I thought you knew about it." He shrugged.

"So," Tenda rubbed her forehead. "What has that got to do with what's going on now?"

"Patience, girl, patience." Harmony chuckled.

"I ran into the girl around last week at the library," I spoke. "We had a little talk and she was like *You are Frank's girl right?* And I was like *Yeah I am, whatsup*

"She was then like, *He's a cool guy, handsome too. I see he's also caring and a helpless romantic, plus he's really good in bed you know? I had fun with him that night*

"Oh hell no, she didn't just see you and say that," Tenda spoke, shock evident on her face.

"He's a dead man," Harmony grunted through tightly closed teeth.

"So to confirm," I continued, "I feigned ignorance and said, *Sorry dear, I don't get you,*

"She then smirked and replied with an *Oooh, oops, it seems you two haven't done it, no wonder he was with me on that day and wait, it was your birthday, right? That's so sad* to this she winked and walked out." I ended with a sigh.

"Crazy sex-starved bitch, wish I was there to rip her eyes out," Tenda grumbled as she cracked her knuckles.

"My case is that Frank is cheating on you with a hoe." Harmony mumbled.

"I just let her be like you said she's a sex-starved bitch, but what made me begin to think otherwise, is how distant Frank has been lately." I grimaced.

"The love is there you know? I can feel it, just that we don't communicate like we used to, he hardly picks my calls these days and he only calls once in a while," I explained, a troubled expression on my face.

"I keep convincing myself that he's busy, or something like that, but he could at least pick my calls," I shrugged.

"His sins just keep increasing, that boy needs to be in the grave," Harmony said angrily.

"But babe." Tenda sighed. "Don't you think you are reading too much into this? He might be going through a rough patch right now."

"I know he's supposed to tell you what's wrong but you know how guys are with their ego, maybe he's ashamed to tell you what's bothering him, just let him know you are here for him," Tenda consoled, in which I agreed.

"So let's not jump to conclusions right?" She asked her eyes in Harmony's direction.

"Right," He grumbled.

"Now, call him," She said and gestured to my phone which rested on the table.

"I should--," I initiated, but got cut off.

"Yes, are you deaf?" I said call him," She commanded.
