Chapter 41: Chapter 41

Joanna's POV

Things were going well between Frank and me. I could even say it was as smooth as an eel's skin though I couldn't help but feel something was wrong somewhere.

Don't get me wrong, he was doing everything right but I kind of was noticing him grow a little distant like we were losing connection or not bonding as we were supposed to.

I loved him and I knew he reciprocated the feeling but I couldn't shake off those strange vibes. Call me paranoid but that was just how I felt.

Due to my confused emotions, I agreed to a day with my bitches, Tenda and Harmony. I know he's a guy but he's my bitch.

According to them I'd not been hanging out with them, especially after Frank and I began dating, and when I told them I hang out with them each day they declared we hadn't bonded in a while.

So there I was, trying my best to pull up my trouser because___

"Get down here you slowpoke!" Tenda cried out as if she was dying.

"Bitch, if I come up there I'm dragging you down those stairs even if you're in your underwear. You know I would, so save us the stress and get your butt down here!" Harmony howled from downstairs as he blew the car horn.

I sighed at this, snatched my bag and phone after I had succeeded with my trousers, and trudged down the stairs when I realized how tight the skinny jeans were on my tighs, as it seemed I'd added a little weight because I could bet my last dime it wasn't that tight the last time I wore it.

"Show the world y'all crazy," I screamed at them, once outside.

"You're yelling also, what does that make you?" Tenda quizzed in a smirk to which I growled in response and opened the passenger seat of Harmony's car.

"She got you good." Harmony laughed.

"Yeah, yeah, just drive." I scowled.

"What's wrong?" Harmony asked as he glimpsed my expression from the mirror.

"Nothing." I let out, just stressed due to the upcoming exams."

"Okay," Tenda said and gave me a look, "I'm writing exams too, you don't see me with a scowl."

"We all deal with pressure differently." I rolled my eyes and forced a smile.

"Where do you girls wanna go?" Harmony implored.

Tenda and I glanced at each other and beamed.

"To The Arcade," We both announced at the same time cracking up.

I shook my head, still laughing as I felt slightly better. "I missed this," I blurted.

"Me too." Tenda grinned while Harmony nodded.

We arrived at the game center in no time and immediately Harmony stopped the car, Tenda flew out the door with Harmony after her.

"You forgot to--, and, he's gone."

I shook my head with a sigh as they both left their doors open.

Sometimes I still wonder if they are mentally stable, as their behavior at times makes me doubt their sanity.

I switched off the car which I realized was still running, and locked the doors, thereafter I headed in the direction they ran off to.

As I traced their steps, I could hear their voices, so I pursued it and kept following it till--

"I left the car first," I heard Harmony voice out.

"But I reached here before you," Tenda argued.

"I started running before you." Harmony blurted, as he refused to back down.

World war 3. I thought and facepalmed after which I turned to give them both a glare.

"Why do you guys always do this." I moaned in frustration.

"I don't have a girlfriend,"

"Tony's not here," They both voiced out at the same time.

"Okay, how about we settle this like adults," I spoke and gave them each a shut-up gaze before they start to argue again. "Harmony you are second, Tenda you are third, I am first."

"Yass!" Harmony exclaimed, "Wait what?"

"I swear you hate me," Tenda muttered.

"By the way, how do you know that's what we were arguing about?" Harmony doubted, confused.

"She's dating Frank, what did you expect." Tenda shrugged

"How has that got to do with what just happened." Harmony scoffed while I stood quiet as hearing his name made me feel down, that I couldn't help but sigh.

Maybe I was really paranoid or maybe I was not. Maybe it was just in my head or maybe it wasn't.

I know that was a lot of maybe's but that was just how I felt, I think Tony's confused attitude was rubbing off on me.

"I keep asking what's wrong but you don't want to give me an answer." Harmony pouted as he heard me sigh.

"Yeah dear, you trust us right?" Tenda polled, a small smile on her lips.

I returned her smile. "I know, but I just wanna let it go for now alright? It might not be serious."

"If you say so." Tenda blurted, and they both nodded.

"Now that's settled, let's get this game started!" I squealed as I feigned enthusiasm.

"Whoooo!" They exclaimed, after which Harmony turned on the game.

"Don't you dare, don't you fvcking dare." Harmony warned as my car got close to his on the screen.

I smirked and shifted it closer, ready to hit him out of the road.

"Please, please, please," He pleaded, "Please don't!"

I had pity on him and let his car go, as I reveled in the way he whined and begged. I'm a bad person I know.

"Holy---, Nooooo! Why why! Tenda why do you hate me so much!" He cried and hugged her legs.

I laughed, when I spotted his car on the other side of the screen, shattered and on fire.

"Good job girl," I choked, while I tried to control my laughter.

"Don't laugh yet." She smirked. "It isn't a good job till I win."

"Oh, you're on." I offered a crooked smile.

"Ready or not!" Harmony shouted.

"Get on with it idiot!" Tenda groaned.

"Okay! 3, 2, 1, GO!"

And we went off, I diverted my car straight to where Tenda's was, as I planned to kick her out and win the race.

"Babe let's discuss this, both of us can win this race, we both can, just calm down, there's no need to rush." She mumbled in one breath, while she tried to go faster, but unluckily for her, "Shit, shit, shit, shit!"

"Yeah!" I screamed and immediately jumped on Harmony, "I won, whooo!"

"We know that, get over it," Tenda grumbled while Harmony chuckled.

"Now, you folks are getting me chicken and chips." I grinned.

"Since when did we--" She blurted.

"Since now." I cut her off smirking.
