Chapter 62: Chapter 62
Enver immediately went and talked to the owner of the target land where they want to build the next branch of Raiden. He made sure that the owner would really sell it to us and when they had an agreement, they made the contract.
After that, they signed it and gave the pull payment. He also personally took care of the title and transferred all of its documents under my name, especially the taxes papers for it.
And when he finally got everything, they immediately started the construction of the building for the fourth branch of Raiden.
He made Mikea take care of everything since he was busy with a lot of papers that he needed to sign.
“You really rushed this one, huh?” I shook my head while looking at the title that he just bought. I thought we will have to wait for at least six months to get this but it only takes three months. “You really made sure of everything.”
“Of course.” He looked at me and smiled. “I was afraid that you might take back your words so I made them rush the process.”
I shook my head again and put the paper in the folder. Even though he didn’t rush it, I don’t plan to take back my words because I know that he will not like it.
“Anyway, the construction for the building will be starting, right? Do you want to visit the site?”
He shook his head. “I have so many things to do as of this moment.” He pointed at the mountain of folders beside his table. “It is due next week.”
I didn’t notice it earlier when I got inside. Maybe Mikea gave it to him before she leaves so he will see how many files he needs to sign.
“I need to review everything so she could give it back to each department at the end of the day if there is some revision that needs to be done,” he said. “So, I will ask you to handle the site inspection.”
“You let Mikea in charge of that, right?”
He nodded. “Yeah,” he answered. “But she is still busy with the paperwork for the opening of that branch.”
“Oh.” I nodded. I sat in his lap and leaned on his chest. “Can’t we delay the inspection for now? I don’t want to go out.”
He chuckled and gave me a peck on my ear. “I also want you to stay beside me while I am working but Lucien is busy with another project and the engineer is expecting someone from Raiden today so he can explain what he intended to do in the place.”
I sighed. “I guess I don’t really have a choice.”
We just got back together and started to rebuild our family.
But at the same time, we are also building a stronger company because it is one of our protection against his family who will surely do everything they can just to get what they want.
They might be silent for now but I know they will soon do something that will break their promise to us.
He hugged me from behind and started kissing my nape. “Let’s go on a vacation once the fourth branch is done,” he whispered. “Just the three of us. You, me, and Millie. Maybe with that time, we can have another baby.”
I smiled and turned my head to him. “It will be nice,” I agreed. “We need to spend more time together since we just got back together. I don’t want to take advantage of the fact that we are okay but tend to give less time to our family. Millie will not like that.”
We still need to work out our relationship. Communication and spending time together will make our relationship grow stronger. So, we might face another problem that will challenge our love for each other, but we will not fail to fight.
“Then, I gotta go.” I faced him and kissed his lips. “It is better to finish it early so I could pick up Millie at her school.”
“Is she planning something for today?”
I nodded. “She invited Reid again.”
His eyes widened. “What?”
“Yeah.” I laughed. He doesn’t really like it whenever Millie has boy visitors. “Your daughter is like that boy.”
“Then, I have to go home, too.” He was about to stand up but I remained seated in his lap. He looked at me and raised his eyebrows. “Mi?”
“You said it yourself earlier, you need to finish all of your job today, Mister CEO.” I pinched his cheeks and kissed his lips again. “And please, stop being so protective of Millie. They are just good friends. Your daughter knows what is right and wrong despite her young age.”
“But…”
“And Reid is a good kid,” I added. “Well, he may have been mean to her before because his parents didn’t want him to be friends with our daughter, but he is making up for it now. He is taking care of Millie.”
He stared at me, feeling defeated, and just sighed. “Fine. I won’t go home and try my best to focus on finishing these files.” He looked at me intently. “But you have to update me once in a while, okay?”
“Okay.” I kissed him again and stood up. “See you later, hubby.”

“Hi…” A man greeted me as soon as I got out of my car. From his looks, I think he was just in his early thirties. “I am Engineer Lucas Reis.” He offered his hand in front of me and I immediately accepted it.
“Milan Andrius. Wife and secretary of Raiden’s CEO.” I shook his hand and let it go. “And I am here on behalf of my husband because he got caught up with his workload as of this moment.”
He smiled. “I didn’t know that Mister Andrius was married.” He gave me a hard hat. “Please wear it before we go inside.”
I put it in my head and followed his lead as we went inside the site. “Our situation is not really a secret but we got separated five years ago and just got back months ago.”
“Oh.” He nodded. “That is why no one really talked about his relationship.” He arrived at the huge pit in the middle of the property that they dug. “So, as you can see, we started digging for the septic tank for the whole building and its foundation.”
“You only started working last week, right?” I was amazed that they managed to dig fast in just a few days.
“We have a huge group so it is just easy for us,” he answered.
I looked at him. “Then, can you give me an estimated time when the building is going to finish?” I asked. “I was not in the meeting when you presented this to him so I don’t know everything about the project.”
Mikea was the one who accompanied Enver when they set a meeting with this engineer because I was busy taking care of the other shop.
“We estimated it to be up to eight months,” he said. “Mister Andrius doesn’t want to rush this but since we have enough workers, I think we might cut that for at least one or two months early.”
Well, that is not a bad thing. I already saw the blueprint for the building that they are going to build here. It is much bigger than the first three branches so that estimated time is just enough.
“Then, please do what you can,” I said. “Just like my husband, I also don’t want to rush it but if you can assure the quality of the building even though you will finish it earlier than your estimated time, it will be good for us.”
“I will try my best to satisfy Raiden with our service, Misis Andrius.”
I still can't wander around the site since they were just digging the property so he just explained to me what they intend to finish for the first month since we can’t visit here every day.
We agreed that he will update us from time to time. We just have to wait for the day it will finish.
