Chapter 41: Chapter 41

“We only have one car left,” Enver said as he finally got the latest report that came from the three branches of Raiden shops. “And we still have two weeks.”

“And as far as we all know, we have three potential clients that are in the process of purchasing the last unit that we have,” I said “But someone is trying to intercept that deal.” I put five folders in front of him.

He took those folders and started reading the content of it. “Five potential clients applied to purchase the car in our installment method but when they were about to get approved, they canceled their application.” He looked at me. “And it was all that happened last week.”

I nodded. “We could have finished our deal with Anox if it wasn’t for those people who backed out,” I explained. “I had Lainz investigate this matter and the only lead he got as of now is someone trying to stop them from canceling their application.”

“I thought…”

I shook my head. “It is not someone from the competitors. Not even related to your father’s company.”

“So, we don’t have any idea who that might be?”

“Sounds like that.” I took the folder again and stared at it. “Now, I don’t have any idea how to find that person. I can’t just follow our potential client just to know who they talked to that made them back out in their application.”

Ben and I were certainly keeping our eyes on Raiden’s competitors and Enver’s father. We have our people work with them and report to us as soon as possible so we could stop them before they could even reach any branches of Raiden.

But I didn’t expect that they would still manage to pass our security.

And the worst part of it, is I don’t have any idea who might be the person talking to our potential clients so they could back out from their application.

We only have one week left. And for the next few days, I am afraid of thinking that all my effort will only get wasted because of this one.

“I am not really sure what we should do to stop whoever is sabotaging our project.” Enver massaged his temples. “I can’t believe that it is happening now that we only have one week left until our deal with Anox is over.”

“Our associates learned about this situation later and we need. That is why they made a late report of what was happening at the shop.”

We thought it was just a normal phase.

It is normal for our potential clients to back out from their application in the middle of its process. And we are aware of that. Entering into this kind of transaction is a huge responsibility for them so it is normal to hesitate. And we are not blaming them for that because we understand.

That is why our sales associates didn’t report this matter to us sooner. Well, not until one of the clients said that someone talked to them saying that having a high-end Anox car will only put them into big trouble.

Though, that person is not entirely lying.

A middle-class person who owns a high-end car will get a lot of attention. And people who also want to have it might not do the legal process of acquiring the car, instead, they target those people and harm them.

That is why we only choose the client that we are approving to obtain the car that we are selling. We are conducting a house inspection to see if they have secured the place where they are going to put their car.

To make them out of trouble.

But I didn’t expect that this would be used to scare our client. Just to make them back out as soon as possible.

“I have to do something…” I said. “I need to at least secure one client.”

But how am I going to do that? We only have seven days remaining.

“Milan…”

And I think one week is not enough to ensure that the last customers that we need are actually buying it. It has a long process so it needs more than that.

But I have to think of something else so our potential customers will not be scared of buying the car that they want from us.

“Milan…”

Damn it! I can’t believe that I run out of ideas when we really need them!

“Milan!”

My eyes widened as I saw Enver in front of me. He is holding both of my shoulders while looking straight through my eyes.

“I know that we are in a dire situation right now,” he said. “But you have to calm down. Panicking like that will only make our situation worse as it is.”

He is right.

Panicking will not help us.

I nodded and breathed deeply until I finally calmed myself down.

“So, you are okay?” he asked and I nodded. He let go of me and looked at the folders that contained the information of the potential clients that were still in the process. “Stay here and let me do something about it.”

I frowned. “You will do something?”

He nodded and took those folders. “You already did your part, Milan.” He looked at me. “And you have done a lot for Raiden. You protected it from our competitors’ sabotaging plan and I am really grateful for that,” he said. “This is just one customer. I think I can handle it.”

“But…”

He shook his head. “It should be me who needs to finish it,” he added. “I can’t let your effort go to waste just because of this issue.”

“Enver—”

He smiled and messed my hair up. “Don’t worry. I think I can promise you that I will be back here later with good news. Please trust me.”

I breathed deeply and nodded. Well, I guess I don’t really have a choice. “Okay, I trust you on this,” I said. “But please inform me if things got complicated, okay? I will do something too just in case we are already too late. And bring Art with you.”

He nodded. “I will.”

He immediately took his bag and got out of his office. He talked to Art for a while and after that, they both left.

I don’t know what his plan is to fix this problem and I am really worried. But the only thing I can do for now is wait.

Since he took Art with him, I am obligated to stay here for the rest of the day. I can’t just leave here so I just started cleaning Enver’s office.

And I started with his desk which has a lot of paper and other stuff. I organized it and as I was putting stuff out of it, I saw the frame where he put a picture of me.

Well, I guess he doesn’t need to hide it from me since I already saw it.

I took it and a piece of paper suddenly fell from its back. I took it and frowned as I read the content of the paper.

It is an address to a specific house in a village not far from here. I am familiar with the location which is why I am wondering what is in that place.

I mean, why does he keep it inside a frame where he put my picture into this?

“Milan!”

I looked at the doorway and saw Lucien standing there. “Oh, hi,” I greeted him. “Sir Enver is not here as of this moment. Do you need something?”

“It is you that I need,” he said. “I need some feedback about a certain project that we are trying to compile. We are going to present it after our deal with Anox. May you please look at it?”

If it is for Raiden, I guess giving them feedback will not be hard.

“Oh, sure…” I put the paper back in the frame and immediately got out of the office.
