Chapter 20

~Timber POV~

The men on the Southern border have been overly cautious since my extended arrival. I know they are afraid of what Johnathan will do to them if I get hurt but this is ridiculous. I can’t go anywhere without two guards hovering over me and about another four standing off in the distance. Welp, I’m well protected, that's for sure. Little do they know though, I could probably protect them better than they could me. The thought makes me chuckle to myself as I shake my head in amusement.

I started to wake up from the long night in the stealth lab, still groggy. Goddess I just want to sleep in. But I know I can’t… not now. Not when I know Shamira could attack at any moment.

‘Hey baby, good morning.’ I hear Johnathons sweet husky voice in my head as I open my eyes smiling.

‘How’d yesterday go? Did y’all figure anything out yet?’ He spoke through our mindlink. Love was overflowing my body in crashing waves. My body reacting in ways that could even make Hades himself blush.

‘Good morning my love. Almost, sort of? We think we figured out how to get it into the new uniforms. We wove some in a few and need to test them to see if it goes well. We plan on testing them today with some of the more experienced warriors during training.’ sending an image of me in bed with only an oversized t-shirt and panties on.

‘You will be training them with your gifts, yes?’ he says, not responding to my image. I send another one of me touching my breasts, squeezing and pinching them through my shirt with my other hand down my panties biting my lower lip while closing my eyes.

‘Yes baby I am. I will be using my gifts against them while wearing the uniform to check for durability and sustainability. Hmmm’ moaning just a little as I say this through the link.

Nothing comes back after that was sent. I don’t feel or hear him anymore. Uh oh. Smirking to myself, I'm in trouble now. Just as I thought this I saw him. Hovering over my bed panting just a little with eyes a deep shade of emerald.

“Baby you know better than to tease me like that over the link.” his voice is gruff, deep, panting and mouth watering panty soaking sexy. I could tell Bane was at the surface trying to come through.

“Hi baby! whatever do you mean?” playing with him innocently, batting my eyes at him, pulling the hem of my shirt down all innocent like.

“Oh you know exactly what I mean.” he huffs out while taking off his shirt tossing it to the floor. His eyes never leave mine as he undresses, inching closer to me like a predator stalking his prey. Me being that prey.

I suddenly feel a surge between my legs. All I could do was close them tightly in hopes of alleviating some of the throbbing sensation that had been created. I layed there on my elbows biting my lower lip burning up from the inside out feeling the hot lust radiating off him.

His eyes never swerve from mine as he continues to slowly climb onto the bed like a prowler. Inch by inch he makes his way up the bed. When he reaches the top his husky voice verberates through my whole body.

“Is this what you were looking for, little mate?” whispering into my ear. Hot breath lingering as he speaks. I gulp at the sensation. My panties are now soaking wet, and he hasn’t even touched me yet.

He pushed my legs apart with his knees leaning down on me so I could feel his arousal. Gently I lift my hips to his throbbing need and his lips crash down on mine in urgency.

A hard passionate need was issued between us like we hadn’t seen each other in weeks. But it was more like sixteen hours.

Trying to calm my mind, I linked Andreas and told him I would be late for training this morning and to start without me. I swear I heard him chuckle before I closed it off. But who cares. I just give myself back over to the Alpha.

~Johnathon’s POV~

A few hours later Timber and I appeared at the training grounds to watch the men do their outside obstacles courses in offensive and defensive maneuvers. Watching them made me smile and I pulled Timber closer to me by the waist at the thought of how studious they all were in their fighting precision, kissing the top of her head.

“Greetings Alpha. We weren’t expecting you today.” I heard Andreas say from behind us as we turned around. “Do you approve of what you see so far, Alpha?”

“Morning Andreas. It was a surprise for my Luna that I am here.” looking at him stoically and nodded. He looked between us before giving a nod back. “Looks like the men are getting excellent training. Keep up the great work Andreas.” reaching a hand out to shake his hand in approval as I nodded once.

“Now, show me what you two have accomplished for the stealth uniforms since yesterday. I want to see those.” dropping my hand from Timber’s back to her hand intertwining my fingers with hers. Looking down, she was already staring at me with such excitement to show what they have done as her eyes twinkled in delight.

“Yes Alpha. A few of the more experienced warriors are already wearing the suits we adjusted with some of Luna Timber’s energy.” Andreas stated as he walked us over to an area where three wolves were sparing in human and wolf form.

“The uniforms don’t look any different? How do you know it worked?” questioning their appearance.

“We didn’t want Shamira to know we had enhanced our men, so I wove the essence within the suits instead of the outsides.” Timber chimed in to assist with the explanations.

“Hmm. ok Let’s see how it plays against your… gifts then. Shall we?” raising an eyebrow at her smirking. Looking back up to Andreas I nod and he gets the men ready.

Timber walks over to where Andreas and the men are speaking to introduce herself and what they are going to train with today. I can tell she is apologizing in advance if she hurts them, but also letting them know it is necessary for them to be our testers for this new material.

I sensed a slight increase in their heartbeats with what I assume is the thought of them fighting their Luna. Especially when they looked over to me with concerned expressions. I was standing, arms crossed without expression.

Nodding to them for reassurance that they were good to go when they nodded back and looked towards her again. After Andreas patted each of their shoulders he walked over to where I was standing to watch them train, from a safe distance I’m sure. Smirking to myself while side eyeing him for his over cautiousness not knowing what to expect.

“Ok men! Whenever you're ready begin. Remember you must treat her as the enemy and if lives are at risk.” he says to them before they ready their stance for attack.

“This is going to be interesting by far. She’s only really trained with me and the boys.” I say nonchalantly. I suddenly felt Andreas’ eyes bore into the side of my face in concern at this new information. He must have assumed she trained with the men as well. It’s going to be very interesting, I thought to myself smirking.

“The men have never trained with her before?! She isn’t going to hurt them is she?” concern laced throughout his voice for his men. He didn’t really know the extent of her abilities which scared him a little. Not so much of them getting hurt, but how they were going to get hurt.

“Naw. She knows how to be gentle… at first anyway.” letting a chuckle leave my throat remembering how she first trained with me. “Just wait until she gets started and ALL the gifts become one! Now that’ll be interesting for sure.” chuckling more this time at the thought.

His eyes become wide again, then back at his warriors. “I really hope this worked then.” a sigh left him at the reply. I swear I heard him swallow hard. Making my chuckle again, shaking my head slightly amused by his expressions.

“Yep me too.” changing my expression to stoic. His great concern if it didn’t work gave me more confidence.

The men charged her like they would an enemy or threat. We could see the shock on their faces when they never reached her. They were suspended in mid-air. Andreas looked over to me, then back at the men still concerned for their safety when suddenly they started to continue moving through her hold. Arching an eyebrow, this is new. I thought to myself.

Andreas started to move, but I held him back with my hand by placing it in front of his chest. “Wait. Let’s see what happens.” keeping him from interrupting the chain of events that were starting to unfold themselves.

Timber realized her hold was faulty once she saw movement. She must have seen it before us because she quickly moved to the side as they lunged at her.

They turned around, separated themselves on all sides like a cage. A fighting technique to not only surround the enemy, but to gain the upper hand through surprise attack. Timber must have anticipated their response because she started to glow slightly while holding contact with her eyes and hands.

I watched as one of them shifted while the other two stayed in human form. ‘Excellent organization.’ I thought to myself again. Those in human forms lunged at her at the same time as the wolf jumped to catch her off guard. She caught wind of their antics and threw energy balls at each of them. Knocking them down.

Surprisingly enough they were not hurt. A little shocked it seemed since they stopped briefly at the sudden impact then kept going after shaking it off. This really made Andreas nervous because Timber was about to be slammed into from all three sides.

“Alpha.” he said, voice laced with concern.

“Wait… Andreas.” I said never looking at him. “This is what we want to know if they can do. Just wait. She can protect herself… trust me.” turning my head to look at him in the eyes nodding.

They were sparring with Timber and she was holding her own. She threw the wolf off as he tried to sink his teeth into her. The human fighters were caging her in with punches when a burst of energy came out and they flew away from her again. This time no confusion was evident. It was as if they were getting used or absorbing the feeling of the energy hits.

Watching Timber she started to look angry. ‘Uh oh. Mate’s mad.’ Bane said in my head.

‘Yep.’ popping the ‘p’ when I said it. ‘She sure looks like it.’

‘You gonna help warriors?’ he asked, concerned for them.

‘Nope.’ popping the ‘p’ again, now smirking. He huffed and sat back down watching.

The men and wolf shook off the elemental energy that hit them and stood up. All of them now shifted into wolves. “I think she upset them.” I said to Andreas.

“Alpha, with all due respect, how long are you going to allow this to proceed? They’re trying to hurt each other now.” he stated, greatly concerned for not only his Luna, but his men as well while Timber continues to show her gifts in waves.

“Just a little bit longer. I need to know these suits will hold up under any elemental attacks. She’s strong. If they can stand against her… well. They can stand against the enemy.” making my point while showing no concern for the demonstration. Earning a slight nod from him as he seemed to try to relax. With no real prevail.

Trying to freeze them was no longer working as the suits were fighting against it as they would continue to pursue even if in a slow motion like state. Seeing this in her movements, she was upping her game too.

The men were relentless in wolf form. Thank the mood Goddess we trained together.

Timber would hit them with different energy balls right and left. At one point she seemed to get aggravated and I saw her glow brightly. Just like she did when all the elements came together when we fought.

I heard Andreas gasp when she left the ground palms out. The wind picked up and the men were still trying to get ahold of her. Clapping her hands together causes an extensive burst of energy to radiate out in all directions.

Everyone was affected by this energy as Andreas and I also stumbled backwards. The men froze, shaking their heads in confusion of what just happened, while sitting on their asses on the ground. The men who were around but not in the new stealth uniforms were either knocked out cold or thrown backwards hard causing slight injuries needing medical attention if their wolf wasn’t already healing them.

Timber was making her way back to the earth calming the inferno within her from the training with the men. The wind died down and everything went back to normal around us. Well, except for the men who now needed attending to.

“Looks like the new uniforms did their job.” I said turning to address Andreas. “Excellent work.” shaking his hand in approval.

“That’s enough for today! Thank you everyone.” I shout and everyone turns to look at me. “Call for the doctors for these men knocked out. I’m sure they’ll be fine in a few hours.” saying as I point in the direction of the thirty or so men laying on the ground unconscious.
