CHAPTER THIRTY ONE

As Jimin speeds towards Taehyung and Hoseok standing there with the guards surrounding them, he couldn't help but hear the sneers and snickers of the wolves who were surprised to find out that a vampire was living in their territory the whole time.

He didn't care.

Even though the two races are in agreement already after the civil war, the wolves couldn't help but be bashful about a certain Duke in their territory before the pledge even happened.

Jimin immediately jumped in Taehyung’s arms, wrapping it around his best friend's shoulder part along with a smile plastered on his face and teary eye, close to bursting out in tears because it has been exactly 3 months since they haven't seen each other.

However, in Taehyung and Hoseok's case, he was surprised as to why Jimin was acting this way, oblivious about the three months span of not seeing each other. It even confused Taehyung more on why was Jimin being this way because the last time he remembered, he sent Jimin to the prison. The smaller should hate him. But hence that, he was glad that Jimin didn't hold any grudge towards him, and Hoseok couldn't help but admire the sight.

"I miss you so much, Tae." Jimin's arms tightened around him, as he sobbed quietly. He wanted this, he wanted to apologise to him, and he wanted to say sorry for not protecting him. He felt guilty for failing to protect him as his best friend and as a duke. He couldn't live without his best friend who gave him back his life.

"I thought you were gone forever." He continue to cry, not minding all the vampires and werewolves who witnessed a Duke, one of strongest, cried in front of them.

"Yah!" Taehyung's eyes widened as he heard his best friend crying, and pulling away.

Jimin released a cute sniffles, glancing at Hoseok and jumping into his arms making the elder startle but the elder just decided to laughed it off. The younger pulled away from him, glancing back at Taehyung then to Hoseok, back and forth.

"Why are you crying?" Taehyung asked, stepping forward and wiping Jimin's tears off. "What do you mean about me being gone forever?"

Jimin's eyebrows furrowed, tears stopped streaming as he looked at Taehyung with baffled expression.

"Where have you been these days though?" Taehyung asked softly and tenderly. "Hoseok hyung tried to find you. How did you even got here?"

Days? Jimin took a step back, confused as to what his best friend was talking about. It's been months since they've last seen each other? The third in power Duke glanced at Hoseok who was looking at him with anticipation as well. He was completely puzzled by the two's behaviour.

"What are you talking about?" Jimin nervously laughed, stepping back as he observed their odd behaviours.

"Jimin? Were you doing well?" Hoseok asked the younger. The smaller man frowned, still not getting the idea that his best friends just lost their memories.

"It's been days since you've been searching. Usually, it'd take for you to take a mission for 1-2 days, what is happening?" Hoseok asked, raising an eyebrow. "Perhaps you encountered some trouble knowing you ended up here in the territory."

"Mission?"

"The mission regarding Seokjin hyung's child." Taehyung replied. "We didn't let him come with us because he might know about it."

"Oh..." Jimin's heart dropped to his stomach, unable to process everything. Hence, he just let it be. "Regarding that... I just need to find Seokjin hyung's right man because he was the one who sent the letter."

"You're talking about Jun, right?" Hoseok questioned. "You mean he knew about Seokjin hyung's child?"

Jimin nodded. "Yes, he knows about it. In order for me to have a swift movement of my task, I needed to stay here in the wolf territory."

"Sure thing." Taehyung nodded in agreement. "But are you alright with staying here?"

"I will be fine." Jimin mumbled, thoughts paraded his mind again. What was happening to his best friends, Taehyung and Hoseok? It was as if Taehyung didn't experience an almost death situation while Hoseok was nonchalant after them escaping from the palace during Namjoon's rule.

"Then I will talk with the Alpha and Luna then." Taehyung smiled, thinking of convincing the leaders of the pack to at least let his best friend stay for a moment.

"I'll be at the car." Hoseok informed, leaving the two. Jimin nodded, turning around to go to Jungkook's room with Taehyung.

Suddenly, he scent lingers inside his nostrils again making him halt. It was the same scent he recognised days ago. Taehyung, too, sensed the faint scent near but he didn't mind it since he doesn't have that great ability of smelling like Jimin.

Jimin scanned the area to see Yoongi, and a lady who has her mouth covered with silk coming out of his brother's room. The silver haired man glanced at the direction Jimin was looking to making his attention divert to the two as well.

The smaller man raised an eyebrow and decided to approach them as Taehyung looked at him in confusion but followed behind as well. As Jimin got nearer, the scent got even more stronger.

A human girl hiding behind someone's scent? He chuckled at himself.

Taehyung tilt his head at the familiar scent that was overflowing her. He was confused as to why he was able to smell her when he was supposed to smell his scent and Ha Na's scent only. The only difference was that Taehyung was able to smell two scents on her, both are familiar to him.

Why could he smell his own scent and Ha Na's scent as well? He wasn't sure about it.

Jimin was amazed at how he could smell three scents on her. He wanted to smell the familiar two scents more behind the unrecognisable scent that was trapping it. However, the scent that was overflowing was too strong.

The two eventually stopped their tracks and stood face to face with Yoongi and Ha Na. The silver haired man completely shrug off the scent as soon as he locked gazes with Yoongi whom he have known before. He was honestly surprised.

"Who is she, hyung?" Jimin asked, eyes over the unknown lady. "I guess she's the one you mentioned?"

Yoongi eyes widened, turning his attention back to Jimin, and a tint of blush appeared on his cheeks. However, it made Taehyung question, and demented by the whole situation.

Just why? Why would that man flush in red just by the girl standing beside him? When supposed to be, Ha Na should be the one to do that? Did he found another girl besides Ha Na?

"It's true, I guess." Jimin chuckled making Ha Na, baffled.

The Duke face the two, with a smile on his face. "By the way this is my best friend, Kim Taehyung. And Taehyung it's—"

"We already know each other." Yoongi interrupted making Ha Na and Jimin looked at him, flabbergasted.

"You do?" Jimin raised his eyebrows as Yoongi nodded while Taehyung completely ignored them as he was focused on the scent that was on the girl.

"Who is she?" Taehyung trailed off, eyes on Ha Na already.

"She is the Luna of the pack." Yoongi answered, bluntly and not giving her name.

"Yes, I am." Taehyung snapped his head towards to young lady before making an eye contact with her.

That familiar voice.

Those brown orb eyes.

Taehyung was busy gawking at the familiarity of the lady making Yoongi felt agitated and restless about it. Yoongi finally interrupted, trying his best to be relaxed about it, and turned to look at Ha Na. "You should go now. The Alpha wanted to talk to you."

Ha Na looked at him, confused at how Yoongi knows. "How—?"

"He mindlinked me." Yoongi responded, rapidly making Ha Na nodded, hesitantly. They all watched as Ha Na goes back to her room where Kiana was waiting.

"Can I talk for a moment, hyung?" Jimin asked, looking at his elder brother.

"What about Taehyung?" Yoongi asked, arching his eyebrows.

Jimin’s eyebrows knotted, wondering why would his elder brother ask that kind of question. "He will talk with the Alpha and the Luna for a while."

Before Yoongi could say anything, he was dragged by Jimin.

He doesn't know why or how but he ended up watching, and looking at Jungkook in front of Ha Na's bedroom, feeling the unfamiliar knot forming in his stomach.

Kim Taehyung was jealous.

And he doesn't have any idea why.

He was like a stalker stalking his crush behind the bush, and he was hoping that the two wouldn't notice him.

"What are you wearing?" Jungkook asked, surprise and quite puzzled about the silk Ha Na had on.

"Yoongi gave it to me." Ha Na replied making Taehyung's heart clenched.

"What for?"

Ha Na shrugged her shoulders. "He said it will hide my human scent."

Jungkook chuckled, nodding before grabbing her arms and pulling her into a tight embrace making her squeal while the man behind the bush was surely extremely jealous.

Taehyung wondered. Why does she have Ha Na and my scent on her? He even forgot that his main responsibility was asking the leaders of the Moon Pack for Jimin to stay in the wolf territory for a few weeks.
