CHAPTER FIFTY SIX

Yoongi raised his eyebrows as he eyed the two, suspiciously. It’s been hours since they kept on meeting each other although Yoongi shouldn't be suspicious about it but there's something odd between the two.

As he followed them, he pursed his lips as he glanced at the massive palace where Jungkook and Ha Na sneaked in at the back door, taking the chance where the guards went to their feeding. Why are they in the palace anyway? That's what the beta will know later.

Yoongi didn't hesitate to follow the two inside as he walked quietly as much as possible, not wanting the two to know that he has been following them all along. And then the two had a conversation leading for them to separate causing Yoongi to panic, and get confused. Where would he go? Where are they going?

Instead of following Jungkook, he followed Ha Na, and the woman seemed to have know the way of the palace— not that Yoongi was questioning it though. Of course, Ha Na would know the directions. But why was Ha Na entering inside a bedroom?

When he was about to open the door of the bedroom, his ears twitched as the sounds of foot steps resonated the hallways causing him to freeze.

"Shit—" He cursed, immediately forming into his wolf form as he dashed himself out towards the long hallway as fast as possible.

Where would I go now? He growled, avoiding some guards at all cause and trying to find some exit door. But stopped when he heard another batch of footsteps making him tighten his jaw.

Fuck this, I'm going out. He was quick to run towards the back door of the palace— where he entered in the first place before releasing a loud sigh in relief.

Now where am I going? He groaned to himself as he shakes his head vigorously before licking his paws. I'm hell not going to go back to the pack naked.

Or maybe I should go back— The beta's eyes widened, glancing side to side as a sudden wood scent entered his nose, the scent he smelled when he was in the palace to see Taehyung before.

Mate! Mate! His wolf cried, howling in excitement as he jumped around to the area looking for its mate. He landed in an indoor garden, not even caring about the surroundings, and gladly, there weren't any guards around anymore when he entered the palace again.

As his wolf was looking for the wood scent around the indoor garden, he glanced side to side, and snapped his head towards the visible window that was connected through a wall.

Who is that? Yoongi mentally asked, forgetting the obvious scent surrounding the garden. Is that Ha Na?

He moved forward, jumping towards the window as his paws were flat on the glass of the window— hence, Ha Na didn't even noticed him. He tried scratching the glass but the woman was busy letting out a silent sob. Why was she crying?

Yoongi’s eyes squinted, noticing the door slightly opening as his eyes widened to see Taehyung that was behind the door. His figure could be seen from Yoongi's direction yet Ha Na couldn't since she was facing back. This situation made him panicked, slamming his paws but the sound was muffled, and his eyes fixed on the door that was opened widely.

Without any hesitation and unaware, he transformed back to his human form before banging his fist to the window causing Ha Na to jerk her head towards the window to see Yoongi.

"Open the door!" He yelled but for Ha Na it was more like mouthed, and immediately nodded, running towards the window to open it as her heart quickened. She didn't want to be caught yet.

Opening the window, Yoongi was quick to tug her out of the room through the window before closing it back. He glanced at the door again, relieved that Taehyung didn't enter the room yet, and grabbed Ha Na's arms before forming back to his wolf form, letting the human ride him.

As they ran out of the palace, Ha Na was clutching onto him so tightly as the speed was going fast against the wind. The beta stopped, breathing in and out— as his heart was beating from nervousness and from running causing him to have lack of oxygen.

Ha Na took this chance to get down, loosening her grip from the fur of the wolf as she stepped back in shame. She looked down, feeling the beta forming back to his human form, and the next thing he grumbled was scolding her.

"Jesus— why were you there?!" He yelled causing Ha Na to flinch, and looked above, locking gazes with his intense stare. "Besides, why weren't you wearing your silk?!"

Her eyes widened in realisation. "Shit— my silk! It's inside that room!"

Yoongi closed his eyes before letting out a frustrated groan. "That was the only silk that Tía have. I'm guessing you won't be able to wear it anymore."

"I'm sorry." She bit her lips, and was about to look down when something caught her eyes as she snapped her head straight.

"You're ah—" Ha Na choked, clearing her throat as her cheeks flushed in red before closing her eyes tightly in complete embarrassment. "Naked."

Yoongi raised his eyebrows, taking a glimpse below as he was confused as to what she was talking about before a gasp escaped his lips, quickly covering his private area, and his cheeks tainted deep red in embarrassment.

"Sorry." He blushed furiously, looking down causing Ha Na to giggle.

"The three years of us being together back then, I didn't even see your naked body ever— Heck." She laughed, eyes turning crescent moon.

Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows before looking at Ha Na with his jaw dropped, hands never leaving his lower region, and Ha Na froze, realising what she just blurted out.

Jimin's jaw dropped, heart falters as his eyes landed at the familiar figure that was outside his brother's room.

"Elisse?" He choked out, stepping back as the figure turned around to look at him with wide eyes as well.

"Jimin?" She squeaked before smiling and approaching him. "Your brother is expecting to see you but he's not here yet. I don't know where he went."

"My brother?" The Duke's eyes and nose scrunched up. "You know Yoongi hyung?"

She nodded. "I know you two being siblings. Yoongi explained everything to me including what is going on around the outside world. Everything that I heard seemed pretty absurd."

"Oh." Jimin cleared his throat, as he remembered something and stared at her with wide eyes, lips parted. "But why are you here? Where have you been? I mean—How?"

"I'm here to see Ha Na and she's not here as well because she's out for a while." She smiled genuinely. "Yoongi asked me to enter the territory, and be with Ha Na the whole time."

That didn’t even bother Jimin, and the thing that felt uneasy for him was the fact that a person who is supposed to be dead is alive right in front of her.

"You must be wondering why I'm still alive, right?" She asked, adding and Jimin reluctantly nodded in anticipation. She responded, honestly. "Yoongi saved me back then by digging me out of the coffin."

Silence filled the surroundings, and the sounds of the members of the pack were the only thing that could be heard along with the sound of the breeze. Jimin was too awkward, speechless and overwhelmed by everything. Especially with Elisse's presence in front of him who was supposed to be dead.

"Jimin..." Elisse gulped, trying to ask the question she wanted to ask. "I heard that you were accused."

He nodded, frowning in guilt again when he remembered that he sucked the life out of her which the lady catches his expression.

"Namjoon killed me." She said with reassurance in her tone. "You didn't and my mate did. Everything that is happening in just a span of months, it's making me dumb."

"Pretty ridiculous from what I heard you know? From Yoongi. He said that after I 'died' my mate became the King, and that Ha Na became Jungkook's mate when she's supposed to be with Taehyung. Then finding out that Jungkook was once killed by my mate with him growing up as to Mariá knows why." She sighed heavily before her stomach dropped. "To my soulmate b-being dead already."

"I know everyone's going to say that he is dead—" She shuddered, and Jimin frowned. "B-But I know he's alive somewhere. I just feel it."

"How are you so sure?"

She tugged her bottom lip between her teeth. "I'm a normal vampire and If he is dead, I could've died 2-3 days after my mate is killed but I'm standing right in front of you."

"What?" Jimin gasped, jaw hanging low. "Now that I think about it with you standing so well and alive, Namjoon hyung...could be alive somewhere out there...”

Elisse nodded before cracking a smile. "He is alive. But you know, even if he is dead or alive, I will still find it in my heart to forgive him."

The Duke looked at her, puzzled but in amusement. "What? After everything that he have done, you will still forgive him?"

"Yes." She confirmed with a nod. "It's your mate after all. You will know sooner or later what it feels like to have a wicked mate and be able to forgive her— even at the stake of your life for her."
