Chapter 113: Chapter 113

CHAPTER FIFTY FIVE

Jungkook wandered around the palace in search for Ha Na. He was stumbling around the corner, and taking tiptoes in hope that vampire guards won't be able to catch him. He was still wearing the bracelet so it wasn't hard for him to hide his scent but the problem was that Ha Na might be in trouble knowing her scent might surround the whole place.

As he was walking quietly and carefully, he stopped his tracks, eyebrows lines as he heard an audible sound echoing.

'Please help me—'

The voice cut off, and Jungkook was left baffled as he stood there, dumbfounded. Did someone just mind linked him?

'Jungkook, please—' He froze with his eyes bulging out of the sockets, stiffening when he heard the familiar voice of someone. It was no doubt his mate.

His mate was mind linking him, and fool him for not knowing that Kiana could finally mind link him already knowing how they mated and marked each other.

Of course, the mind link wouldn't still be clear knowing how Kiana isn't his Luna yet but still, he could communicate with her. Hence that, it was the first time ever that Kiana did the mind linking with him.

With a panic tone, the Alpha answered. 'Kiana, what's wrong?!'

'Help me, Jungkook.'

Jungkook gritted his teeth just by hearing his mate's voice crying out for him, and his wolf was quick in overtaking him, putting an action to protect his mate. His wolf was sensing danger of his mate, and he didn't like it. His heart quickened, transforming into his black wolf form with the bones cracking and clothes tearing that resonated the hallways.

It took him seconds to fully form into his wolf as it already alerted him for his mate. He glanced at the bracelet that was dangling and created noises before muttering I'm sorry, Noona.

He dashed through the hallways as he finds his way out of the palace, leaving Ha Na still inside wandering around. His mate is in trouble, and is his priority more than anyone could imagine.

Even after hearing Hanisha, he was sure about his feelings and sure that his mate for real is Kiana this time. There was no denying already. The Alpha doesn't know why his heart was beating so fast, as to why it was hurting and burning inside his chest. He was sensing fear and threat.

But little did he know was that, he couldn't save her anymore.

It was already too late for him as the person already took the soul out of his mate from inside out, and Jungkook stumbled as he ran as fast as he could causing his snout and face to land on the ground pretty hard.

Tears streamed down his face, the agonising pain that was firing inside his chest was too much, and his neck was giving an agonising sharp pain making him growled.

It was already too late for him.

His mate should've never existed in the first place anyway.

The two got out of the door, gripping their suitcase and a smile was plastered each other their faces. It has been weeks since the two of them haven't smelled the fresh air of the country, and weeks of not seeing the wonderful sights of the area.

One turned around, glancing at his same aged friend before a sunshine smile formed on his lips again.

"Welcome back, Namjoonie." Hoseok greeted, and Namjoon nodded, looking back at his friend.

"Welcome back too, Hobi." The second Duke replied softly making Hoseok pressed his lips into thin line as he remembered something, smile turned into a frown.

"Namjoon." Hoseok called, and the other hummed in response.

"We should tell Taehyung everything." He proposed causing the other to freeze on his spot, clasping tightly on the suitcase's handle as his heart rapid went on full fast speed.

Namjoon wasn't ready to even face Taehyung, yet he chose to go back to the palace already because of Hoseok forcing him to be with him. Besides, the princess already went back to the palace that made him have a reason to agree a little bit.

"Don't worry." The tone of reassurance of the other was what calmed the tension in Namjoon a little bit. "He will forgive you."

In the end, Namjoon eventually agreed as the both of them made their way to the palace.

As they made their way inside the palace passing the hallway, they halted their steps, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as they watched from far away to see Taehyung standing in front of Ha Na's old room.

"What is he doing there?" Namjoon asked Hoseok who was behind, confused as well.

"I don't know," The other shrugged his shoulders. "Let's see."

They walked towards the man, watching as he grabbed the doorknob, and opened the door.

Taehyung on the other hand opened the door widely to see who was in Ha Na's old bedroom but before he could see, a voice resonated the hallway that made him stop.

"Taehyung?" Hoseok's voice echoed as Taehyung snapped his head towards the two figure before gasping in surprised.

"What are you doing there?" Namjoon asked politely since he still felt guilty about everything despite Taehyung forgetting the memories of what happened back then.

"Hoseok hyung?" Taehyung gasped, completely ignoring Namjoon's words and presence causing the elder's heart to tightened against his chest.

"Why are you here, hyung?" He asked Hoseok, eyes connected with his who rubbed the back of his neck, awkwardly. "I thought you'll travel for a year? But—"

"What are you doing in front of Ha Na's old bedroom, Tae?" Hoseok asked, interrupting him and Namjoon looked at him, baffled.

"Old bedroom?" Namjoon muttered under his breath, glancing at his side to look at Hoseok.

"There's someone—" Taehyung stiffened as he grabbed the doorknob again, and opened the door but to his surprise, no one was there anymore. He raised an eyebrow before shaking his head.

What did he see minutes ago? What was that? The young king wondered before sighing heavily.

"Nothing..." he groaned, dumbfounded that he maybe just hallucinating. He closed the door, stepping forward as he walked toward the two, finally recognising the other's presence as well.

"But hyung..." The king raised his eyebrows before his eyes landed at the stranger, beside Hoseok, who happened to be Kim Namjoon.

"Who is he?" Hoseok's eyes widened in shock, remembering that he and Taehyung once lost their memory.

But why can't Taehyung remember Namjoon?
