Chapter 112: Chapter 112
CHAPTER FIFTY FOUR
She told everything.
She finally admitted everything—all her faults and sins. She let out the memories that was putting a burden on her shoulder for a thousand years. She already told someone the truth, and...it feels like the pain that was kept for so long has been lifted off.
Hence, she felt so amazing, great and free.
The memory that was hunting her was the only thing that's keeping her from being wicked. Everything that she did was to make Taehyung suffer for eternity, and even played with other destiny.
She wanted revenge...but was she even happy? It was keeping her heart gets heavy even more.
"Everything that happened," Hanisha's voice cracked, cowering down in shame. "I regret it."
Jungkook just stared at her the whole time, speechless and overwhelmed by the impact that the witch just slapped on him.
"Y-You played with me?" He stuttered, breathing out as he let out a shaky whimper with his eyes closing to tears. "With Ha Na? Everyone?"
Hanisha nodded, eyes shakes as it stings the same from the guilt. "I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry for ruining someone's destiny." She started. "I'm sorry for ruining my own sister's destiny with my ex—even your destiny. I'm sorry for playing with someone's heart just for revenge. I'm sorry if—"
And that's when Jungkook snapped. He hated it when someone says sorry to him, especially when the cost of his life was shielded there.
Just like his mother.
"Telling me sorry nor telling everyone sorry isn't gonna bring back all the pain that you caused—" He choked, glaring at her as tears are threatening to fall down. "It won’t gonna bring back the tears that everyone had to cry on just to be with their mates—"
"And your sorry is so fucking useless that it couldn't bring back the pieces you once broke." He growled, gritting his teeth as his face flashed red in anger, and claws started to appear.
The witch noticed the anger of the Alpha as she took a step forward, attempting to calm him. "Jungkook, please—"
"Then every single thing that you told me...about my destiny." He trailed off, stepping back with a single tear tickling on his cheeks. "Are you telling me that if I didn't really have any affection towards Ha Na?"
Hanisha nodded. "Probably. It was all in your mind. You were so attached over the mate bond that you still denied Kiana as your mate for life—Your true Luna."
She bit her lips. "But it's yours to know whether you really had a feelings towards Ha Na or not."
Jungkook stiffened, heart clenched at the thought of Kiana, his mate—his supposed eternity was mistreated when she should've been the one having the title of Luna instead of Ha Na.
It was all a misunderstanding yet the guilt was eating him up.
He did like—no. He probably fell in love with Kiana the moment she entered his life.
She never failed to make his heart flutter just by her presence near him. She never fails to make his heart race, and his mind goes crazy at the thought of her being in danger. He was like running in marathon inside his mind whenever she just thinks about her.
He could've been a better Alpha, a better husband or a better father to their pups. He could've been, but that was too late already.
"Then what about mother?" Jungkook's body started to tremble, petrified at his own future. "She was the one who told me—"
"Your own mother..." Hanisha sighed, cutting him off as she shakes her head. "She brainwashed you."
"What?" He flinched.
"But you can't blame her. We made her believed that you're Ha Na's mate. Besides, whatever she did, she probably did it for you. She is a mother after all."
"But—"
"Don't worry about your Mother Jungkook." Hanisha smiled, reassuringly. "I will take care of her."
"What do you mean?" The Alpha looked at him with puzzled expression, eyeing her suspiciously.
"Run away with your real mate because no matter how much you convince your mother that Kiana is your mate, she still will deny everything."
And Jungkook swore he saw a smirk on her lips.
Ha Na on the other hand was lost, still inside the Palace. She wasn't that lost but she found herself inside her room—the bedroom she stayed months ago. She looked around the room, and it still looked the same. Not much changed, the bed was neatly clean and tidy.
It was hurting hurting her—the memory did.
A tear rolled down her cheeks as she walked towards the bed—the place where Taehyung almost did it to her, and the place where Taehyung begged her—even told her that she will be his for eternity, and him to her for the rest of their lives.
Her eyes scanned the whole room as she remembers the place as where they met the second time—first being in the balcony.
It wasn't just actually the bedroom that reminded her. It was everything in the palace. It holds a memorable experiences for her. Her lips trembled, her stomach dropped, and her heart wrenched in agonising pain as she remembered every single memory she had with Taehyung.
Yes, none of them were quite delightful, but it was memorable for her at the very least despite having it as a horrible memory.
Ha Na chose not to forget everything since if it wasn't for those memory, she wouldn't have remembered Taehyung. Hence the man sinning towards her, she still had the heart to forgive him already.
She fell on the floor, clutching her chest as tears continue streaming down before her fist meets the ground as she slammed in repeatedly. It brought back the memories, and played it in her mind.
The anguish she felt couldn't be described—it was the feeling of longing of someone, and guilt as well. She wanted to appear herself in front of Taehyung but she couldn't yet. She couldn't bring herself to reveal her own existence.
How would Taehyung react if he finds out about someone pretending to be her? How guilty would he be towards Ha Na knowing that he just mistook someone as her? It aches her to the fullest.
While Ha Na was crying behind doors, a certain someone stopped his tracks as he passed by the room that hasn't been touched for months. Ha Na's room was empty since Hanisha requested another room to be in because 'she didn't want to remember the bad memories' and wanted to 'start a new life' with Taehyung.
As Taehyung stopped his tracks, his nose scrunched and eyebrows lined in confusion as his heart quickened without any reason. Why is the scent so familiar? He wondered before raising his eyebrows. Like it has the same scent as the Luna of Moon Pack?
He pursed his lips into thin line, facing the door and his hands travelled to grip the door knob before releasing an unconscious sigh. Opening the door, it was quiet enough for Ha Na not to notice that the door has creaked open.
Taehyung glanced, eyes furrowed as his eyes landed at the figure that was kneeling on the floor. His eyes landed and fixed on her hands that was fumbling at the back of her hair—untying the silk that was over her mouth causing him confusion.
Why is the color of the silk familiar? He mentally asked. It was pink from the looks of it, and somehow has the same color as the Luna.
He opened the door widely, vividly creating a screech sounds as Ha Na turned, snapping her head towards the door and accidentally dropping the silk in surprised.
"Who are you?" His voice resonated the entire room, and her eyes widened in horror.
