"So, tell me, why are you pushing me to court Sonia?" he asked while we are taking the road to Sonia's mansion.

"I told you, I'm saving your asses from a miserable fate. Thank me later." I looked at him.

There's a hint of shock in his eyes that made me laugh so hard. I totally forgot that I'm in the generation where women are angels. He was probably surprised hearing me talked like that.

"Who are you, lady? Why do you spoke like that? If someone hears you, they will think you grew up in the street," he said. I rolled my eyes.

"I always talk like that and there's nothing wrong with it. You are overreacting, man!" I playfully smacked his hard stomach. Oh, the abs!

Stop it, Aliyah! You are a noble nurse and that not the first time you saw a naked body, you saw more than that. It is not supposed to be a big deal.

"Aliyah, what?!" I shouted in shock. I immediately covered my mouth and looked around.

"Why are you shouting?" he asked.

I looked at the mansion and surprisingly, this is smaller than I thought. Henry was about to knock when a man with the same body as he greeted him.

I carefully examined his face because somehow, he seems so familiar. And when he smiled, my jaw fell. This man... This... I was literally looking at my grandfather's young version.

"And who is this beautiful lady?" he asked again and looked at Henry with a wide smile.

"She is Aliyah, Cristel's friend. And Aliyah, this Alfredo, my best friend," Henry introduced.

I am still in a state of shock. Grandpa, you won't probably believe in me when I tell this to you. You are so handsome.

And I'm kind of regretting not letting Cristel come with, she will probably hyperventilate right now. I laughed, secretly.

"Nice to meet you, Aliyah. What are you two doing here?" Alfredo asked.

"We are going to meet Sonia?" I answered him. He creased his forehead then looked at his best friend.

"You are now ready to face to Sonia? I will remind you that while we are at the training camp, you said that it will take probably five years for you to face Sonia again after what he did to you in front of many people," Alfredo said.

What? What happened with them?

"It is not my idea, it was hers." Henry pointed me.

"And, what about her?" Alfredo raised his eyebrow. My grandpa likes gossips, huh?

"She was forcing me to court Sonia and fell in love with her," Henry explained. Alfredo laughed like crazy.

"Are you serious? And... Did you agree with her?" He is still laughing annoyingly.

"U-huh! Because if Sonia and I didn't work again this time. She will let me court her," Henry said then smirked.

Alfredo's mouth formed an 'o'. "You are hitting on her. You are fast, that's my man! You and Sonia will not, you know, work again. You got this girl, I'm sure!" He smacked Henry's chest.

"What happened to Sonia and Lieutenant Henry?" I asked Alfredo. I saw a hint of a smile on Henry's face.

"Oh, well. Henry confessed to Sonia two years ago. In case you didn't know, they are childhood friends, and my dear best friend had a something special feeling with Sonia. He didn't dare to tell her that he is in love with her. And when the time that we must leave because of our military training, he finally considered telling it to her. At a small party prepared for us by Cristel's parents, he confessed in front of the whole people of our town, including his and her parents." Alfredo paused and laughed again. What's funny?

"What happened after he confessed?" I asked and Henry answered it instead of Alfredo.

"He rejected my feeling and shamed me in front of the people. She said, she will never like me, not a chance. She also said that I am not her type. I remembered what she said a few years ago, she likes good-looking men. And I am not," he said.

I am confused. What's wrong with Sonia's eyes? Henry is beyond handsome, he is glorious. I bit my lip.

"Oh, sorry to hear that. I-I didn't know what happened before. But it doesn't matter right now. You need to ask Sonia again." I am desperate, okay. She already rejected Henry and knowing guys have egos! Why the heck Sonia did that?!

"Believe me, Ms. Aliyah. It is not going to work." Alfredo shrugged his shoulders.

"But it needs to work!" I am frustrated.

"Wait, why are you doing this? Are you a fan of their love team?" Alfredo asked.

"No, I mean, yes! I am a fan, and you need to be together, or I might go crazy!" I spoke.

"Well, I'm not into Sonia, anymore. I am into someone else, someone who is very interesting." Henry smiled at me, meaningfully.

I rolled my eyes. "I-I don't care who it was. You need to pursue Sonia more. Maybe, she was not yet ready that time and she felt pressured because you confess in front of many people. You should try again; you can't give up that easily. You kept it for how many years and just one try, you already gave up. You are not a man!" I was nervous. If I didn't convince him to pursue Sonia again, it will be really hard for me to get out of this time.

Please, Henry. Help me, don't be so stubborn.

"I'm got to go; I need to do something important. Nice to meet you again, Aliyah!" Alfredo left us.

We watched him leave and when he's already too far away. Henry spoke. "Fine, if that's what makes you happy. I don't know why I am following you and satisfying your commands. This is ridiculous!" He knocked on the gate.

An old woman opened it and she immediately smiled when she saw Henry. "Hello, Lieutenant! What's brought you here?"

"Hi, Corazon. Is Sonia here?" Henry gently asked the old woman.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Lady Sonia was out of the town. She left early with her parents to do some important stuff." The old woman glanced at me.

"Okay, thank you. I just want to talk to her, but I will just come back when she is home already," Henry said, and then took my hand.

I know, it didn't escape from the old woman's eyes. I am doomed!

"Wait!" I took my hand back.

"What?"

"Who permitted you to hold my hand?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Do I need permission?" He smirked.

I almost shout in surprise when he suddenly pulled me closer to him. His one arm snaked on my waist.

"Don't you dare roll your eyes on me or else..." His face is so close to mine.

To my surprise, he kissed me on the lips. My body and sense of time froze. Oh my!
