Chapter 11: Chapter 11
I was very confused that night. So, it means that it is not very hard for me to make Henry and Sonia fell in love with each other. Lucky me!
"Why are you smiling?"
I looked at Cristel who is lying on the bed because of her hangover. She really went overboard last night.
"My head hurts really bad! I'm going to die!" she exclaimed.
I sighed. "That's what you get, little miss. Here, drink this." I handed her the cup of strong coffee that was prepared by her mother.
"I don't like coffee, but do you think it can really help me?" she asked.
I nodded. I know that because I'm a nurse in my time. After Cristel fell asleep, I went back to my room and examine Sonia's diary. Why didn’t she tell me that she is a childhood friend of Henry? I gasped when I realized something... Was Sonia already has feelings for Henry? If that is the case, this mission will be really easy for me and I can go back to the present in no time.
I flipped the page of the diary and saw a calendar. It was date 1950 and there were three months printed on the page. I noticed a small note on the first month, it says, "you only have three months to fulfill. If you failed, you will be stuck there forever."
My breathing suddenly stopped because of what I've read. I only have three months to make Henry and Sonia fell in love with each other. How will be that possible? You can't fall in love with someone that quick! This is insane!
"I need to move now!" I jumped out of the bed and wear something neat. I'm going to meet Henry now and convince him to love and court Sonia. I wish I can do that!
"Where are you going?" Cristel asked me when she saw me.
"I am going to meet Lieutenant Henry Dizon," I answered.
She creased her forehead. "Wait! Is there something between you two, huh?"
I rolled my eyes because of what she said. "I don't have something for him, I will just help him to have a better life."
She narrowed her eyes. "You all knew from the start that if you join the military, there's a little to have a peaceful and better life. And do you know where he lives? Mama said you two just met last night at the acquaintance party."
I raised my eyebrow. "That's why we are going to him and you thank him personally because he carried you when you passed out last night."
Her eyes went big. "What? Are you serious? He carried me! That was embarrassing!" She pulled her hair.
I laughed at her. "Come on, get dress and fix yourself. I really need to talk to him."
She quickly gets dressed and not a half of an hour, we are already in front of the Dizon's mansion. It is huge.
"We don't know if Lieutenant Henry is inside. I heard he is meeting all of his friends the past few days," Cristel said knocked on the huge metal gate.
"Then, we can ask whoever inside the house where exactly he is," I said.
"You are really persistent to talk to him. What is it about?" she curiously asked and before I can reason out, the gate finally opened.
I didn't expect that he would show up on us easily but here we are, meeting Lieutenant Henry Dizon topless and full of sweats.
Cristel immediately covers her eyes while I raised my eyebrow. "Good morning, Lieutenant Henry Dizon! It was nice to meet you again." I smiled.
He was shocked at first, but he smirked afterward. "Good morning, Miss Aliyah and Miss Cristel. I am so sorry; I didn't know you are coming. What's with the sudden visit?" He let us in and picked up his shirt.
"You can now open your eyes, Cristel," I whispered to her.
She cleared her throat and fixed her posture. Henry guided us to the garden and let us sit at the tea table set.
"So, what can I serve for you?" he asked while his eyes are only fixed on me.
"No, thank you. Cristel just wants to thank you for last night," I said.
I looked at Cristel. She nodded. "Yes, thank you. That was embarrassing and not a lady act. I just enjoyed that night. Oh, by the way, Aliyah said she really wants to talk to you." She smiled.
I glared at her then looked to Henry. "Yes, I have something to say to you and it's really private. So, Cristel, can you leave us for a while?"
She pouted. "Fine," she said the walked away.
"Why are the beautiful woman wants to talk to me?" Henry asked then sat at the chair in front of me.
"You need to marry Sonia," I said without hesitation.
He was shocked then laughed. "What? What are you saying? I think I misheard you."
"I said, you need to marry your childhood friend, Sonia. You can only like and love her. Court her now!" I commanded him.
He just laughed. "Who are you to order me like that? Are you my commander?"
"No, I'm just... Look, I'm trying to help you. You will be happy in the future. Trust me in this, you need to be with Sonia!"
He shook his head. "You can dictate me when it comes to who I will marry. You are just a lady that I met but..." he paused.
"But?"
He looked at me. "But I really like you." He smiled.
No! No!
"You can't like me. I made it clear last night! I can't like you; you can't like me. You need to love Sonia!"
He suddenly became serious. "Why are you pushing me to Sonia? I can only see her as my younger sister. I said I like you and I will court you when you let me," he said.
My jaw dropped. "No, this is wrong. You misunderstood everything! You can't like me! You will be in big trouble if you do!"
"Why? Are you married?" he asked then went near me.
"No, of course not. I am married!"
He smirked. "Then I can like and court you."
This is not happening. Why he is so stubborn? What am I going to do?
"You can't like someone just like that. You know, love takes time," I said.
He smiled. "Yes, you can say that. That's why I am offering you something lightly first."
I creased my forehead. "What's that?"
"Let's be friends." He offered me his hand.
I smiled at the sudden idea that crossed my mind. You offer something, Lieutenant Henry, then, I will offer you something you can't resist!
"Okay, we can be friends only if..." I paused.
"Only if?" He waited for my continuation.
"Only if you can promise me that you will court Sonia." I smiled widely.
"Are you kidding me?" He became serious. I can see it in his eyes.
"No, we can be friends, sure! But you will court Sonia and fall in love with her!" I clapped.
"I don't know why you are kept on pushing me to Sonia. But sure, I will accept your condition. But when Sonia and I didn't go well with each other, I will drag you to the altar. That's my condition for you, naughty miss."
My jaw literally dropped!
