I tried to look for Sonia in the whole event place, but I can't recognize her mask and dress.

"There you are Aliyah!"

Someone grabbed my wrist then pulled me into the middle of the crowd. He wrapped his arms around my waist and slowly we dance to the music.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"I want to dance with you, is that bad?" Henry said then turned me around.

"I already said no, so why are you still insisting?" I creased my forehead.

"Can you shut up your pretty mouth? We are already dancing; don't worry I will let you go when we finished. You are so hard to get." He laughed then pulled me closer to his body.

This is not right! I should stop him right away!

"I need to go, Lieutenant. I have something to do," I whispered to him.

"Are you trying to escape to me? What is it? Maybe I can help," he insisted.

No! No! This isn't going to work.

"Please, I really need to go. Cristel is probably looking for me," I said.

He laughed. "She's over there and I don't think she was looking for you. She's enjoying someone's company. Try harder, Aliyah!"

I gasped then looked in the direction where he saw Cristel. Oh, gosh! Nothing's going to save me from this man.

"You look very lovely on that dress," he said directly to my ears. His voice sent shivers to my spine. Oh, god! This is not good!

"Can you please make a distance between us? You are too close." I rolled my eyes.

His hands firmly holding my right hand and waist. It made me a little uncomfortable but as we continue to dance slowly while staring into his eyes, I saw something. Something different.

He finally let go of me when the music ended. I stared at him for a few seconds before I turned my back to him. I have no problem with him, I just need to simply shoo him away. I really need to find Sonia!

"Wait!"

I stopped walking when he called me again. What does he want? I danced with him already!

"What is it?" I raised my eyebrow.

He pouted. "Why are you like that? You hate me that much, huh?"

I shook my head. "Spit out what you want! I badly need to go; you are distracting me on what I was supposed to do!"

He just laughed. My 'angry tone' wasn't effective.

"Fine, calm down. You know, if you want to, I can help you with your problem. I can see that you are looking for someone. Who is it? So that I can help you," he said then smiled widely.

Jeez, this guy is really stubborn. "You don't need to; I can do it by myself. Thank you for insisting."

I walked really fast to get rid of him. I know this is not good, it is not necessary to get close to him. I need to make him, and Sonia develop feelings for each other.

"Aliyah!"

I saw Cristel running towards me while holding a glass of beer. She is obviously drunk, just look at her face. I immediately catch her because she was about to fall.

"Cristel, my goodness! Be careful!"

She just laughed at my face. She smells terrible!

"This is the night of my life, Aliyah. I kissed Alfredo on the lips. I bet he won't remember me, but still, I tasted his lips!" she shouted.

"What? Why did you do that?! You are really out of your mind. You are already drunk, let's go! We need to find your parents." I try to carry her but she's too heavy for me.

Ugh! Why is she so heavy?! She is already sleeping and the glass she was holding was already on the floor. Damn, this woman!

"Need help?"

I don't need to look to find out who said that. It was obviously him, the persistent soldier. He smiled at me.

I shyly nodded. In an instant, he carried Cristel. "Where are we going?" he asked.

"We need to find her parents. The chief of this village is her father. Do you know where they are?"

He looked at Cristel. "So, this is Cristel, I didn't recognize her. She is so wasted; the fine lady was gone for this night."

I agreed to him. "She looks like a stinky wasted woman who just runs out of jail."

We both laughed then looked at each other. I shyly smiled then looked away. Who am I fooling?

"Let's look for her parents," I said.

"Alright, I think they are staying on backstage."

We walked towards the backstage and we saw Cristel's parents having fun with other officials of the village. They immediately saw us, and they were both shocked when they saw how terrible their daughter was.

"What happened to her?" Mr. Dela Fuente asked.

"She's drunk then passed out, we need to bring her home," I answered.

Cristel's parents nodded and get their vehicle. Henry and I just waited outside and barely talking. When Cristel finally sleeping soundly inside their car, I faced Henry to thank him.

"Thank you for your help and I'm very sorry if treated you badly a few minutes ago. I just want to look for someone," I said and awkwardly smiled at him.

"The one you are looking for, is it a girl or a boy?" he asked.

I raised my eyebrow. "Why is it important to you, Lieutenant?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "I was just asking, is it bad?"

I shook my head. "By the way, I need to go. They are waiting for me," I said.

"Can I see you again?" he asked that shocked me for a second.

"Why should I meet you again? This freedom night is nearly over. Tomorrow, we will back to our normal lives. And you and I will pretend that this never happened," I said, seriously.

"It is for you. But do you even ask me what I felt this night? After the deadly training for years, I chose to celebrate this freedom party with the most beautiful woman I ever saw in my whole life. This party is a lot warmer for me because of you."

I was shocked by his words. I admit that they get me. But, hell no!

"You know, Mister. Even if you show your motives several times, I will still ignore you," I said.

"Why are you turning me down? Oh, okay. Maybe I was going too fast. I need to slow down, I know. It's been a long time ago when someone got me this so excited." He scratched his forehead.

Why I find him so cute?

Wait, what? No! He's not cute! He's annoying!

"Just, stop bothering me. I am not interested in you. You can't fall in love with me and I can fall in love with you. Are we clear with that?" I seriously said.

He laughed then creased his forehead. "Why not? You are being irrational, Miss."

"You don't understand. I'm just trying to save your lives. If you fell in love with me, all of these will be wasted! So please, don't fall in love with me!" I shouted.

"What? That's not fair!" He stopped me from walking away.

I let out a sharp breath. "You can only fell in love with the woman I will say. You can fall in love only with the woman named Sonia. Are we clear?"

"What? What are saying? Sonia?" His face was so confused.

"You will marry Sonia!" I declared to his face.

He just laughed at me. "Why would I marry my childhood friend? Are you crazy?"
