Chapter 1104: Chapter 1104

Since they had no time left to visit the palace anymore, they simply decided to walk around the area, have dinner and then head back to the hotel. The buzz of tourists and families added to the lively atmosphere.

Jin took a peek at Alix who looked to be observing the different stalls around her. He wasn’t sure if she was feeling truly happy or holding back her unease after reading Guiying’s book. The myriad of expressions on her face throughout the time had made it evident how the book had affected her.

His hands restlessly twitched inside his pockets for sometime after which he softly said, "I think...you should tell her."

Alix paused for only half a moment before she realized what he was talking about.

"You also miss her right?"

She thought about it and somewhere in a tiny corner of her heart, she agreed. Yating had now replaced her as Guiying’s editor but at times...she wished she could go back to those times again where she helped craft her fantasy world. Those were the simple times where she felt she could forget about her revenge from the Liu family for a while and just live in the present. Guiying was awkward and clumsy but equally sincere and dedicated. It was fun to work with her.

Jin was prepared for her silence but to his surprise she said, "She doesn’t need me."

He blinked twice. "She does. I need you too. I cannot live without you."

She stopped and met his gaze that looked extremely serious.

"That’s because we are married."

"I don’t think that matters. Naturally, my love for you and her love for you is totally different but it doesn’t change the fact that we love you in our own way - which is also why we need you in our own way. You have different roles in our lives and needless to say, both are important and precious to us."

Important and precious...

She pressed her lips. She didn’t realize when her breaths had slightly grown chaotic but she quickly tore her gaze away from him.

"I’m not sure about telling it to her...yet."

"Oh no, I’m not forcing you. I just hope you consider it because I know that getting back with her will make you happy too."

"I won’t get all emotional even if I decide to tell her."

Alix pursed her lips, slightly irked by his knowing smile and turned her back from him, walking hurriedly.

Jin walked beside her, albeit with some distance between them. He looked around, watching other couples get all cozy and cuddled up against each other. Some were laughing and holding hands.

He glanced down at Alix’s hand which was lightly swaying back and forth against her thigh. He withdrew his own hand from his pocket without any reason yet his fingers trembled out of nervousness. He ever so slightly stretched his fingertips as if wanting to reach something. But they could only hang onto empty air as he couldn’t gather any further courage lest his crazily beating heart would jump out of his chest.

Alix looked at him at that moment and he jumped slightly.

He wanted to say ’Nothing’ but didn’t know why the simple word failed to escape from his lips.

Instead, he said, "T-There is sunlight on your face."

She blinked and he wished the earth would swallow him right then and there.

"Well, we are walking outside...in the sunlight so..."

"You look very pretty in the sunlight!"

A long moment of awkward silence filled between them.

"How about we have an early dinner?"

"Yeah that’s a good idea," Jin agreed instantly.

Somebody just kill me please...

The next four days passed by pretty smoothly that set a good tone to the start of their trip. The different palaces were fun to visit but Jin soon realized a big problem, or more precisely, the twins made him realize it.

’Where are the pictures!!!’

They started bugging him for pictures as soon as the second day passed but Jin had none to give because he hadn’t clicked any. Normally couples and families clicked a ton of pictures but not Jin and Alix. It wasn’t like it hadn’t crossed his mind, it’s just that he couldn’t get the courage to ask her.

Did she like taking pictures? Would it be too bothersome?

At this point, the twins were almost stalking him for pictures and so he was forced to block them. He released a sigh. There was his predicament of his hesitation on one side and then Alix on the other - who seemed to be distracted by something for the past three days. He didn’t know what but she seemed to be thinking about something really hard.

Just like how Alix was staring at a certain DIY fair going on now. DIY or Do It Yourself was a fun event organized at one of the tourist spots where they were free to make anything out of the props and materials provided.

"Do you want to participate?" He asked.

Alix stared at him, which only unnerved him. "Can I?"

"You don’t need to ask. We are here to have fun." This update is available on noᴠelfire.net

"We have a cruise trip later. I don’t want to miss it and ruin another day."

"The first day wasn’t a waste either so can you please take that off your mind?"

Apparently, she hadn’t so she only pursed her lips.

They walked over to the reception area where an eager Spanish woman was all too excited to guide them towards their booth. Each table held the same set of props and she happily explained to them how they were free to use anything. It was also a free event without any charges so even more tourists get attracted to the event. The best DIY project would also win a prize that pumped up the public further.

Alix stared at the bunch of things before her like paint tubes, brushes, some fabrics and threads, a couple of pieces of wood and lots of colorful papers.

Jin gave it a thought and decided on his course of action.

Yes, she will definitely like that!
