Baron Ambrose can't hide his worries when he saw his daughter sitting in her room.

"My Havana, did something bothering you?"

But she didn't answer. Her blue eyes look empty after she heard the explanation from Hagrav's couple.

She can't believe that Aileen and her family were scheming a deadly trap for her.

Even after knew all the evidence, she still found it hard to believe. Aileen is like an angel for her. So, why did she betray her?

"Havana?"

Her gaze shifted to her father. She knew about the incident that make her father traded her safety with the future plan of this Island.

For him, Havana must be more valuable than this Island.

"I'm sorry, Papa. But, I think…"

"Although you can't attend this event, it's okay… I will ask Sir Theo to lend me some knights to guard you."

"That's not what I meant. But, this is weird. They must be misunderstanding something. Miss Aileen is--,"

"I heard from Marquess that The Emperor already got the report about their rebellion action."

Havana's eyes widen, "Re-rebellion?"

Baron held his daughter shoulder, "Leave this matter to the professional, Havana. Besides, no matter what happened, the truth will come out to the surface."

"What if someone just want to defame Silver's family? Aside of Lancia's family, they are one of the most powerful families in this Empire. Perhaps some of their enemy want to destroy them."

"I'm not certain, Havana. After they tried to kidnap you, I can't see their innocence. I don't know what happened if Miss Lancia didn't help you."

She let out a heavy sigh. "The one who saved me was Marquess, Papa."

"But, she is the one who solve the mysteries. Didn't you heard what Marquess said?"

'Well, I…"

"Why did you hate her? Miss Lancia was to care about you. She didn't complain about the dress which you borrow or toward your rudeness behavior."

Havana threw her gaze to the windows and refuse to answer the question.

"Then, stay in this room. The ceremony will start in one hour. There are so many things I have to prepare."

"Okay."

Baron lightly patted her shoulder before he left the room.

"Why did I hate her? Is it because she has everything I want? Or because she can do everything I can't? Hmm, I wonder." Havana whispered when she saw the blue sky.

Duke Armano elegantly crossed his leg when he's sitting in Cecilia's work desk. Along with Hagrav's couple.

Kaleela can't stop to rolled her eyes while her husband reading today newspaper. They don't have a choice because there's no waiting room for the guest.

It's too impolite if they were waiting in their own room.

"I should congratulate you about the wedding." The Duke said in gentle tone.

Grant folds the newspaper before she answered." Thanks, Older Brother. Sorry for nor inviting you."

''It's okay. But, it seems Marchioness look bored."

Kaleela let out a heavy sigh, "Yeah. Thanks to you."

"I'm terribly sorry for unable to entertain you, Marchioness Hagrav."

She gritted her teeth after noticing that Duke was mocking her.

"I wonder why I can't see my daughter."

"She must be busy." Grant said after he exchanges a brief gaze to his wife.

Armano raised his brows." Too busy to greet his father?"

"She is a woman, Duke. Cecilia must be needed a longer time to dress up." Kaleela said after she combed her long red hair with fingers.

Instead of answering, Armano staring from her head to toes with blank face.

For him, Kaleela look too casual to attend a formal ceremony.  Long black dress and worn out leather boots. Not to mention, untidy hair.

"What do you think you're doing, His Excellency?" Kaleela crossed her arms.

"Now, now, My Dear. You know that my brother is a bit… unique. Why don't you come to Cecilia's room and see if she needs some help?"

"No need. I will come by myself." Armano rose from his chair.

Grant quickly blocked her movement, "My, how come you became this insensitive? Cecilia isn't a child anymore, and you can't carelessly sneak in to the woman room. Otherwise, she will angry. Just for you and me, the last thing we need is women's wrath."

Kaleela stare a dagger to Armano before she exited the library.

"Your wife is weird."

"And brave, beautiful, talented, smart, powerful, lovely, wond--,"

"But, what make it weirder that my daughter was quite fond of her."

Grant shrugged, "If not because of Cecilia, maybe I'm still wondering around. Aimlessly searching my Kaleela without any hint. I owed her."

"Interesting. A kidnapper who owes the victim."

"I'm not kidnapped her! We just have some conversation!"

"Conversation? I see." He sits back to the chair.

"Why did you mock me? Anyway, is that true? You will back to the Capital along with her? This island is still developing."

"Baron, alone, is more than enough. Besides, The Emperor give me a new task."

"A new task? Right after that pandemic, and his majesty want to endanger your life again. Are you sure that he didn't bully you?"

Armano let out a heavy sigh, "He wants to restore Icicle."

"And you accept it? Perfect." Grant answered while he's massaging his temple.

Just like it name. Icicle is an island that covered in eternal snow. It used to be one of the busiest road because it was close to the border of Malcraft Kingdom, the heart of trading business in this world. Before Hongport take the position and destroying that kingdom.

For Grant, it's had the same possibilities with revive the dead.

"That's why I need her help. After all, she is my genius daughter."

Suddenly, Grant laughed uncontrollably, "What? Hahaha. A prideful man like you need a help? Bah!"

"She is the one who will inherit my title. So, I need to see her capability."

"Wait. She will be your succesor? Not her husband?"

Armano twisted his lip, "She doesn't want to marry."

"Huh? What? Didn't she tell you?"

Grant grinned when he saw his brother's face. "Ah, then please take some medicine. Maybe, you should call doctor before heard this shocking news."

"Don't beat around the bush, Grant."

A slight chill struck to Armano's body when he saw his younger brother's smirk. He can sense a bad feeling.

"Congratulation, His Excellency. You will be a father-in-law, next year. A great man proposed her, and she accepted it."
