Aaron Pov's

I looked at my girl, who was sobbing in my arms just because I asked her to move in with me in our apartment in town. I'm still not able to figure out the reason behind her denial. The worst thing is she had a panic attack with the thought of going there which clearly indicates reason is strong behind her denial.

"Aaron"

"Yeah"

"we will not go there" she mumbled, clutching my shirt. She always does this whenever she is afraid or in pain.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I don't want to lose you and our baby. please don't ask anything else" She said, leaving no room for argument.

"Fine" I muttered and wiped her tears. She broke the hug and stood from the bench.

"If you want to go there then you can but let me tell you I won't come with you." She mumbled and left before I could have said something.

"She is hiding something from us," Rex muttered.

"As always" I replied and looked at the side where she went.

"Remember when she left us on the day when we proposed to her?" I asked Rex.

"How can I forget that day?" he growled in anger.

"That day we lost her but thanks to Vince because of whom we got our love back," I muttered.

"This time our child becomes a bridge between us and our mate," Rex replied, licking his tail. I nodded my head with a smile on my face.

Aana Pov's

I was thinking about Aaron's reaction when I refused to go with him. I'm sure he was suspicious of my words. I wanted to tell him the truth but no words came out of my mouth. It's not that I don't trust him but it's hard for me to remember all those moments and share them with him. Sometimes we are not able to make them understand what situation we are going through nor are we able to tell our lover how we are feeling from inside and it's the worst thing.

I picked up the glass of water from the side table. That's when my eyes went to the photo frame of my baby. A smile appeared on my face. This is the second most beautiful gift that Ivanna gave me. The first one is the moment when her proposal made me realise how much I love Aaron.

I still remember when Aaron proposed to me on my birthday, I was not ready to accept my feelings for him because of the guilt of losing Vince. I was battling with my feelings when my beta, Ryan, communicated with me.

No One Pov's

"I had no one in this world. Finally, after five years, the moon goddess blessed me with a person who will love me in this whole world and whom I can love. You're the person whom the moon goddess chose for me. with whom I can create a family" Aaron chuckled while saying those words to Aana making her realise what she meant to him and how much he loves her. She can feel his emotions in the words he spoke.

"I want to love you and Alice till eternity." He spoke and took a deep breath. "You can't snatch this right from me, Aana.... not before giving me a chance to love you," He said. Aana detached her hand from his.

"I don't want to give you a chance Aaron because at the end of the day, my decision would be the same and your heart and hope will be broken," Aana mumbled.

"Leave that on me"

"Please Aaron.. don't do this." She muttered in fear... Fear of losing her heart to him.

"Just say, Pearl, what your heart wants. I promise to do as it says" He replied with a smile. She looked at him helplessly, not able to understand what she should do. She was battling with her heart and mind when someone poked on her mind. She squeezed her eyebrow and opened her mindlink, knowing that it was only Ryan who mindlink her, and if he is doing it then it must be urgent.

"Are you okay, Princess?" she heard her beta, Ryan's voice.

"Yeah but What happened? You told me that you will not be able for two days" Aama asked anxiously.

"I found Vince's body" The ground slipped under her feet and she felt her body numb with his words and the world around her stopped.

"Vi--Vince" She muttered and was about to fall on the ground when Aaron held her.

"Pearl" Aaron called her but she didn't respond to him. She was not in her right mind to do that.

"Alexander kept his body with him securely, using some chemicals. He wanted to make sure that you were dead. He threw his body outside his pack, thinking that if you were alive then you would have come to take Vince's body" Ryan muttered looking at Vince's body.

"What kind of mate I'm, Ryan who doesn't even think of it. No werewolf soul gets peace until his body gets burned or buried" She shrieked and clutched her hair frustratingly. Aaron looked at her helplessly, not able to understand anything.

"Where are you?" Aana asked Ryan through mindlink, trying her best to calm herself.

"In the green forest where Vince planned a date for you after the engagement. I brought his body there because rarely any werewolf comes here" Tears fell from her eyes. After all, Vince chose that place for a date because of this reason only. she started crying bitterly.

"Aana"

"Look at our mate, you stupid human. See what you did to him?" Alice growled at Aana for rejecting Aaron's proposal and at the same time, she cried seeing tears in Aaron's eyes. She can feel his pain through a bond.

"I'm coming over there" She muttered to Ryan and wiped her tears.

"No, Aana... It can be a trap for you. What did you think, why did Alexander throw Vince's body after five years?" he scoffed.

"Vince" a word escaped from her mouth. That's when her eyes went on Aaron who was about to wipe her tears but his hand stopped in mid upon hearing Vince's name. Aana bows her eyes, not able to look into Aaron's eyes.

"Alexander did this because he still doubted that you're alive and if you came here then he will get to know, Aana. I just wanted to inform you that finally we're holding Vince's funeral and his soul is going to get peace" Ryan muttered.

"I want to see him for the last time" Aana mumbled and broke the mindlink before Ryan would have said something. She stood up from the ground

"You can't leave our mate like this" Alice growled at her.

"Please try to understand, Alice," Aana muttered, trying her best to make her understand her feelings for Vince. She wanted to see him one last time before his funeral. She had this right.

"If you took a step ahead then I will never talk to you again '' Alice threatened her human thinking that she would stop but Aana ignored her and wiped her tears. She started going towards the exit that's when she felt Alice block him, making her realise it was not a fake threat but at the moment, all that mattered to Aana is to see her first love because she knows if she didn't go today then she won't be able to see him again.

Aana took a few steps ahead then stopped and turned towards Aaron who was about to follow her.

"Leave me alone." She said in a stern tone, knowing it could be dangerous for him.

"If Ryan's guess about Alexander's trap is even one percent right then I don't want you to get into it because of me. I already lost Vince, if something happened to you... No... It's better if you stay away from everything" She thought and extended her hand towards him, trying her best not to show any emotion.

"C--can you please give me your car keys?" She stammered. He nodded his head and passed her keys. He waited for her to say something before going but she didn't utter a word and left him there, taking his car because she knows if she did then he will come to know she is not in her right state of mind.

Aana was driving harshly towards the place where Vince took her on a date. Tears were continuously falling from her eyes, feeling guilty that she left him alone.

"I don't know what is written in my destiny. I don't know whether I love him or not but I know one thing, I will never tell him anything about my past nor will I let the shadow of my past fall on him." She thought and increased the speed of the car to reach the place as soon as possible, unaware of the fact that this decision is going to bring a storm in her life.
