Aana was sitting silently on the ground. Her tears dried up while Alice was silent, not knowing what she should say to her. She was cursing herself for not hiding the ring properly. Aana's eyes widened when she heard Alice's thoughts.

"What do you mean you didn't hide the ring properly?" Aana asked her wolf shockingly. Alice's eyes shoot up realising she didn't close her mindlink with her human.

"You hide the ring," Aana muttered. It didn't take her long to understand when and why Alice did that.

"I was searching for my ring like a lunatic but you didn't care for once to tell me the truth, Alice" she exclaimed.

"It's nothing like that, Aana"

"It is like that, Alice. You only care about Aaron and Rex" she hissed. Before Alice would have said something, Aana blocked her. She hugged herself, resting her head on her knees.

"Princess, are you there?" She heard her beta, Ryan's voice.

"What is, Ryan?"

"Tomorrow is Jenny's sixth death anniversary." Aana's eyes shoot up hearing her. She sat upright.

"I will not be available for two days. Till then, please take care of yourself" He muttered like a big brother.

"Why don't you hate me?" she asked in a numb voice.

"What?"

"Because of me, your mate died. Jenny died to save me. Her parents hate me. Everyone in the pack hates me but why don't you hate me?" She asked, remembering the moment when Jenny took her place in the hospital wearing her clothes.

"Because she didn't die because of you, Aana. She died while serving the future Luna."

"Future Luna" She laughed sarcastically at his words.

"I didn't mean to hurt your emotions" Ryan mumbled, regretting saying something like this.

"I'm the reason for my misery, Ryan. Why are you saying sorry?"

"When will you stop blaming yourself?" He screeched, hating the way Aana took all the blame on herself.

"If anyone should feel regret then it is us, Princess, who failed to save our princess's dignity" He muttered getting upset, remembering the moment when Alexander was misbehaving with Aana and he was unable to do anything, bound by silver chains. while his words made her numb. Unknowingly, Rex kept his leg on her wound. She gulped and held her skirt, trying to calm herself. She shook her head, not wanting to remember those painful memories.

"Whenever your past haunts you, always start remembering good memories of your life, and yeah don't forget to take deep breaths to calm your mind" She recalled Aaron's words and started taking deep breaths as he taught her.

"Aana" Ryan called her when he gained no response.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Yeah"

"Okay then take care of yourself" He muttered.

"Ryan"

"Yeah"

"Please move on in your life. It's been six years" she muttered, feeling sad. She knows how much he loved her. They were also childhood sweethearts like Vince and Aana. Many times, they all four went on double dates. a smile formed on her lips remembering those beautiful memories of her life.

"I promise you, Aana. The day you will move on. I will also move on in my life, Sister" Her smile vanished upon hearing him. She didn't reply and closed the mindlink. Aana stood up from the bed and took a shower. She was trying her best not to think about her past memories. she closed her eyes and started remembering the moment of recent past months. The moments she spent with Aaron. A smile formed on her lips. She was not panicking like before. His smiling face was enough to compose her.

Aana came out of the washroom, wrapping a towel around her body. That's when Aaron entered her room.

"Fuck" he cursed and immediately turned his face in another direction before he end up going close to her and doing something stupid. Aana didn't react much as it had become their habit to go into each other's room without caring much. It's just that he didn't know that she would be taking a shower at night. Aana picked up the dress she found on the bed to cover herself and directly went to the washroom without sharing a word with him.

"Pearl" he turned after getting no response. He felt strange when Aana didn't scold him for his stupidity and directly went to the washroom.

"You're thinking unnecessary, human" Rex yawned and licked his tail. Aaron nodded his head and sat on the bed waiting for her. After a while he looks at the washroom side, hearing the sound of the door opening and his heart missing a beat seeing her in the gown he sent for her. Since she took a shower, her hair is open and her face is looking fresh. He was looking at her like a princess came from heaven while Aana was trying her best to look normal in front of him.

"You're looking mesmerising" He muttered and went near her. He was about to hold her from the waist but she moved back. Aaron scrunched his eyebrow at her sudden reaction.

"What happened?"

"I have to dry my hair" She half lied to him. He smiled and held her hand to make her sit on the bed. He brought the towel and wiped her hair.

"Shoot" Aana looked at him when he started cursing suddenly and found him looking at time on his watch.

"We have to hurry," he muttered and held her hand.

"Where are we going?" Aana asked when Aaron made her sit inside the car.

"That's a surprise my queen" He replied and kissed her forehead. Aana didn't say a word to him after. The whole ride, she was silent. He noticed it but ignored it because of the excitement. He was just waiting for the moment when he would bow on his knees to propose to her and she would say yes.

"I will mark her then and there" Rex muttered, jumping in his mind excitedly. Aaron chuckled at his behaviour.

"I'm pretty sure about it. Alice and you will not wait for a second after the moment she says yes. Even I have doubts that I will be able to control myself from kissing her. Of course, after hearing yes from her mouth" Aaron replied to him and look at Aana who was lost in her own thoughts

"Pearl" She looked at his side.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah.. what will happen to me?" She replied and again turned her face in another direction before he noticed her red eyes.

"I'm sorry, Aana" Alice mindlink her but she ignored her and closed her eyes, feeling the air hitting on her face.

After a while, she opened her eyes when Aaron called her after stopping the car. He hopped down from the car and went to Aana's side to open her side door. She looked at him in confusion and then turned her head in front. It was a lake and everything around it is beautifully decorated. There was a dining table in the centre along with two chairs and after it, there was a small tent which was decorated with lights. She was looking at everything amusingly. He decorated the full place with lights and flowers. Her path was decorated with flowers. Aaron personally decorated everything for her. To make her day special and also for making their moment special.

Aana flinched when Aaron hugged her from behind and kept his chin on her shoulder.

"Happy birthday, Pearl" She looks at his side abruptly and finds his face closer to her. He turned her towards him.

"Don't look at me like that. I read your resume in the office before giving you a job" he laughed, looking at her shocked reaction. Aana looked at him and then at the whole decoration. The fact that he remembered her birthday when she herself forgot it, warmed her heart.

"Thank you" She mumbled. He turned her towards him and encircled his hand around her waist.

"Thanks to you for coming into my life, Pearl... Thank you for everything. Thank you for becoming my friend. Thank you for giving me a chance. Thank you for coming out of your close boundaries just for me. Thank you for choosing me over your pain. I know it was not easy for you but thank you for trying. Thank you for everything." He kissed her forehead.

"I was waiting for this moment for so long and now when it comes, I'm feeling nervous" Aana scrunched her eyebrow hearing him.

"You waited for my birthday?"

"What... No" He chuckled and kissed her cheeks.

"You're so cute!" He muttered. Aana was perplexed. She again looked around and then at him. He held her hand and made her walk towards her heart in the centre.

"Aaron, what are you doing? I'm not getting anything" She muttered frustratingly. She was trying her best to act normal but with every passing second, she was getting anxious seeing the decoration. Somewhere she had an idea of what was going on but she didn't want to get to that conclusion. She looked around her when the heart started glowing as soon as they stepped inside her.

"Aaron this" She clamped up when her eyes went on him. He was kneeling on the ground, holding a ring. Her eyes grew wider.

"I waited for this moment, Pearl. Let me say what's in my heart" He muttered when Aana was about to say something. she was numb seeing him on the ground.

"I don't know how but I fell in love with you at first sight. I don't know how but you become the reason for me to leave this life. I don't know how but you become a reason for me to open my eyes. I don't know how but you become a reason for me to smile. I don't know anything but you. I know that I only need you. I only love you. I only want you in my life. Only you, you're the only thing I'll see forever. In my eyes, in my words, and in everything I do, your sight is the only sight that will ever bring me peace! I love you a lot, Pearl." Tears fell from her eyes hearing his confession while Aaron was waiting for her response... waiting to hear yes from her.
