Aaron was about to hop off the bed when Aana held her hand. He turned his head towards her. She was looking at him and there was a small smile on her face.

"You stopped me from waking up from the bed and now you are only going somewhere?" She mumbled and pouted, not wanting him to go. He chuckled at her childish behaviour, knowing she intentionally made cute faces to make him stay.

"Rex reminded me about some important work"

"Ohh" She muttered, making a big O. He cursed seeing her lips and turned his head in another direction.

"If I would request you to stay then you won't listen to me?" She inquired. He scrunched his eyebrow hearing her as Aana never asked her something like this.

"It is important to go." she nodded her head in agreement and left his hand.

"What happened? Why are you asking like this?"

"I don't know... I'm not feeling like letting you go," She muttered. He smiled and moved closer to her then leaned towards her face to rub his nose with her, bringing a smile to her face.

"I'm going like forever" Smile vanished from her face. She smacked his arm angrily.

"Moon goddess. Why are you hitting me?" He groaned, rubbing the surface where she hit him.

"Because you never leave a chance to piss me off" She hissed and pushed him away, hopping down from the bed. She went towards the cupboard to take her clothes out when he hugged her from behind.

"I'm sorry" He muttered. Aana tried to remove his hand from her waist but he didn't let her go.

"Aaron left me. I have to take a bath" She screeched.

"You can easily push me," He muttered with a smirk. She glared at him angrily and pushed him with her elbow. She took out her clothes and turned to go to the washroom but he came in front of her, holding his both ears. She rolled her eyes and removed his hand from his ear.

"Why are you apologising?"

"A wise person said the man should apologise for his mistake and even if it's not his mistake and his woman is and at him then also he should apologise" he muttered like an innocent child…

"You know what is the conclusion of what you said?" she questioned. He nodded his head in agreement then negatively.

"It means you are a fucking dumbo who can't understand a simple thing that your women want from you" She yelled and pushed him with full force making him fall on the ground but he didn't fall alone.

Aaron held the hand to balance himself but ended up falling on the ground with her.

"What the" They both yelled together and then clamped up realising what they were going to utter. Her hand was on his chest because of which she can feel his heartbeat which increased as usual because of her effect on him. She looked at him and then rested her head on his chest, knowing that Rex would have healed him if he would have gotten any injury. He smiled and encircled his hands around her waist.

"Now will you tell me why you're behaving like this early in the morning?' he asked. She sighed and clutched his shirt like always.

"I don't know... It's just that I'm not feeling good."

"Why? What happened?" he asked anxiously looking at her.

"No.. don't get worried. I didn't mean it in that way" she muttered and looked at him.

"Don't know why I'm getting the feeling that something bad is going to happen. like we will get separate" She let out her fear.

"Relax… I told you nothing can separate us. No matter wherever you're, I will always come to you and that's my promise." He muttered and kissed her head.

"Is it necessary to go?" she asked. He was about to reject the idea of going but then Rex reminded him of the arrangement he has to do for her birthday. Aaron nodded his head hesitantly.

"fine" She replied and tried to get off him but he didn't lose his grip around her waist.

"Nothing bad will happen. Relax" He mumbled. She nodded her head and got off him when he left her. She directly went to take a shower while Aaron was still seated on the ground thinking about her words. Somewhere her fear scared him.

"Nothing will happen. In fact, everything will get fantastic when she will accept our proposal" Rex said to cheer up Aaron's mood. He smiled and went to his room to freshen up. He directly went to the location where he planned to propose to her without meeting Aana.

Aana started searching for Aaron after making breakfast for both of them but found him nowhere. She took out her phone from her jeans pocket to call him. That's when her eyes went to the message which he dropped for her stating that he had to go in a rush and didn't get to inform her. She frowned reading the message and sent him angry emojis to which he replied with kisses and sorry emojis. Aana sighed and switched off her phone angrily. That's when her eyes went to a photo frame in which they both were hugging each other like best friends and there was a big smile on their faces.

"I hope everything remains the same between us like this" She mumbled and went to the office after getting ready.

The whole day, Aana was trying to focus on work but she couldn't. The way Aaron left the house without meeting with her was bothering her and the fact that he didn't come to the office was more disturbing to her. She became used to staying with him all the time and now his absence is killing her.

"You accept it or not, human but you're madly in love with him," Alice said excitedly.

"I'm already not in a good mood, Alice. Please don't eat my mind" She scoffed and turned off her laptop frustratingly. His eyes went to the watch.

"Shoot... it's seven p.m. Aaron must be waiting for me at home." She muttered and stood up from the chair, packing her things in a rush. Alice smiled seeing her human who claims not to love him but always thinks about her. Aana didn't realise but she started her day by seeing his face and ended up in his arms. Her worlds revolve around him.

Aana's smile vanished when she didn't find him at home but found a lady who was sitting on the couch waiting for him. She came to her giving her a note containing his message to get ready at eleven and also gave her a bag which had a beautiful gown.

"He is asking me to wear this gown at eleven in the night?" She asked that lady shockingly who nodded her head with a smile.

"Has he lost his mind?" She thought and went to her room without saying anything to that lady. She was already furious at him for not showing up the entire day and now this dress.

"Asshole" she groaned and frustratingly tapped her foot on the ground while Alice was laughing seeing her condition. Aana kept that carry bag on the bed and sat on it. That's when her eyes went to the side drawer near the mirror.

"I've been living in this room for eight months but still didn't notice this drawer. Well, how would I when Aaron doesn't leave me for a second" she muttered to herself and went to check that drawer.

"Are you serious? You want to check this drawer instead of getting ready" She frowned at her human.

"Shut up... I'm just killing time" She rolled her eyes and opened the drawer only to find a few files in it. She started looking at those files while Alice's eyes widened realising it is the same drawer in which she hide Aana's engagement ring. Aana scrunched her eyebrow feeling Alice's anxiousness.

"What happened?" She asked.

"No---Nothing… Why are you wasting time? Take a shower and get ready" Alice yelled, making her flinch.

"Okay fine. Why are you yelling at me?" she muttered and was about to close the door when her eyes went on the ring diamond which was popping out from the file.

"Aana you should"

"Stop" she muttered, interrupting Alice and removing the file only to find her engagement ring. She took it in her hand and looked at the word "Mine" carved on a ring which is proof that it is original. She couldn't hold her balance and fell to the ground feeling overwhelmed. All the memories she spent with Vince came in front of her eyes. She kissed the ring.

"Vince" Tears fell from her eyes. She was looking at her ring with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes. That ring freshens up all her memories. Especially the moment when Vince proposed to her to get engaged.

Aana was seated on Vince's lap while he was kissing her cheeks, lips, forehead, and then her neck. She giggled when he started rubbing his beard over her neck while inhaling her scent...

"Vince, what are you doing?" She chuckled and pushed his face a little only to attach her lips to his.

"Promise me, Aana that you won't leave me when you will get your fated mate" Vince muttered after breaking the kiss.

"Where did you get this thought from?" She snarled. He didn't reply and bowed his head. Aana smiled and made him look into her eyes.

"Do you think I can ever think about someone else other than you?" She asked. He nodded his head in negative.

"Then?"

"I know you love me but things get different when it comes to their fated mates" Vince mumbled playing with her fingers.

"I promise you, Vince. I will never love anyone other than you. My heart belongs to you and only you. No matter who the person is, he can't take your place in my life" She confessed and again attached her lips to her, making him believe how serious she is about her words.

"I love you, Vince. I love you so much like trees love carbon dioxide" He rolled his eyes upon hearing her example and then they both burst into laughter. He took out a box from his pocket and passed it to her.

"What is this?"

"You gotta see it for yourself" Aana looked at him suspiciously and opened the box. Her eyes widened seeing the beautiful ring.

"Ring?" She looked at him dumb-headed.

"I was thinking if we get engaged." He muttered with a sly smile.

"Only if you're ready"

"Ready... Hell, I was waiting for this day" She yelled excitedly, making him chuckle. He tightened his grip on her waist when she attached her lips to his.

"Aana" Alice called her perturbed for her... Aana came to her senses with Alice's voice. She looked around only to realise everything had changed. Her eyes went to the bed where she kept the dress that Aaron sent.

All of a sudden she started feeling guilty, remembering the promise she did to Vince to always love him. She was feeling guilty for forgetting her first love... she was feeling like she cheated on Vince...

"No...No. No... I don't love Aaron. I only belong to you, Vince. Only to you. I'm sorry for even thinking of someone else" She muttered and wore that ring.

"I don't love anyone except you, Vince. My heart, my soul, my breath everything belongs to you. No one can take your place in my life" She muttered, looking at the ring finger.

On the other side, Aaron was looking at everything excitedly. He waited for the perfect moment to propose to Aana and finally, he is going to do it.
