"Aaron" Only his name came out of Aana's mouth with tears in her eyes. She forgot everything around her. All she could see was the love in his eyes. She forgot everything but him.

"I read a few lines somewhere and you made me realise the meaning of those lines." She squeezed her eyebrow upon hearing Aaron.

"Li---Lines?"

"Everyone has a story,

Mine is beautiful with your existence.

Everyone has a wish

Mine is to be with you till the end...

Everyone has a good luck charm

Mine is your presence...

Everyone has a soft corner for someone,

Aana kept her hand on her mouth. She was overwhelmed with emotions.

"Please say something, Pearl. My knees are starting to hurt." Aana chuckled hearing his words and nodded her head. She had a big smile on her face with tears. Her smile was enough for him to know her answer. She extended her hand towards him but when Aaron and Aana's eyes went to her ring finger their smile vanished.

"Vince" She took her step back looking at her engagement ring. All of a sudden she started feeling guilty for even thinking of saying yes to Aaron. Aaron stood up and looked at her confusingly.

"Where did you find this ring?" He asked with a small smile on his face because he knows how valuable this ring is for Aana.

"Alice hid it" His eyes shot up hearing him. It didn't take him long to understand why Alice hid the ring. He nibbled his lips, realising Rex's guess was right. Aana was continuously staring at the ring.

"No... I can't love someone else other than Vince" She mumbled to herself while Aaron's eyes grew wider hearing her.

"Pearl" he called her but she didn't look at his side and took her steps towards the car. Aaron ran and came in front of her.

"Wh--What do you mean you can't love someone else?" Aana turned her face in another direction, not looking at him.

"Answer me, Pearl"

"Leave my way... I have to go home" she mumbled. He nodded his head negatively.

"Never... I promise not to leave you. Remember?" She looked at him with teary eyes.

"I know you love me. It's just that I want to hear from your mouth" Unknowingly Aaron repeats the same line that Vince said to her in his last time. Tears fell from her eyes which she was holding. She moved away from him.

"I love Vince and only him"

"I can smell a lie," He muttered. Aana closed her eyes in frustration. Everything was so much for her to handle. She was battling with her mind and heart. She tried to cross him but he again blocked her way.

"You love me" he muttered in a hope that she would say yes but all his hope crashed when she pushed him away.

"I don't love you"

"You do," he yelled. Aaron was ready to fight for her because he knew she was again trying to go into the darkness... The darkness of aloneness.

"Leave my way, Aaron"

"No... I will not leave you wat neither I'm going to leave your way because I know you want the same"

"No… I don't want anything. Just leave me on my own" She snarled.

"I won't because I know you're saying all this just to push me away"

"In what way will you understand that I don't want you or this mate bond? I'm fine being alone. I don't need you" She yelled and turned her head in another direction, not able to look into his eyes which only shows love for her. Only she knows how she was handling herself so as not to panic.

"When I said you need me, Aana?" he muttered... Tears fell from Aana's eyes hearing his words.

"I don't want to become your need," Aaron said and made her look into his eyes.

"I just wanted to be your partner who will love you." He confessed and held her hand.

"I had no one in this world. Finally, after five years, the moon goddess blessed me with a person who will love me in this whole world and whom I can love. You're the person whom the moon goddess chose for me. with whom I can create a family" He chuckled while saying those words. Not a single word came out of Aana's mouth to stop him, seeing the love and hope in his eyes for her. She can feel his emotions in the words he spoke.

"I want to love you and Alice till eternity." He spoke and took a deep breath. "You can't snatch this right from me, Aana.... not before giving me a chance to love you," He said. Aana detached her hand from his.

"I don't want to give you a chance Aaron because at the end of the day, my decision would be the same and your heart and hope will be broken," Aana mumbled.

"Leave that on me"

"Please Aaron.. don't do this." She muttered in fear... Fear of losing her heart to him.

"Just say, Pearl, what your heart wants. I promise to do as it says" He replied with a smile. She looked at him helplessly, not able to understand what she should do. Suddenly she moved away from him. Aaron looked at her helplessly, not able to understand anything but then he noticed that she was about to fall to the ground. He immediately held her and made her sit on the ground. She was whimpering and then she clutched her hair.

"Pearl" He was about to cup her face but stopped in mid hearing "Vince" name from her mouth.

"Vince" She muttered and stood up from the ground. She took a step ahead then stopped and turned towards Aaron who was about to follow her.

"Leave me alone." She said in a stern tone and extended her hand towards him.

"C--can you please give me your car keys?" She stammered. He nodded his head and passed her keys. He waited for her to say something before going but she didn't utter a word and left him there, taking his car. Tears fall from his eyes realising she indirectly says no to him.

"Are you okay, Rex?" He asked his wolf who didn't say a word the entire time.

"Reject her," Rex replied, widening his eyes.

"What?"

"I asked to reject her," He growled. Aaron nodded his head negatively.

"No... I won't"

"Didn't you get that she doesn't want us?" He yelled at his human who was crying, sitting on the ground like a failure.

"Today she proved us wrong, Aaron. No matter what we do, we can't win her heart" he replied and at the same time whimpered with the thought of losing Alice with Aana.

The whole night, Aaron didn't move from his place. He was looking at decorations that he made to make her day special and then remembered Aana's words. Tears were falling from his eyes continuously. He stood up from the ground and started destroying everything.

"She doesn't want us, Rex" he yelled and threw the ring he purchased for her.

"we should go home. Aana must be alone and crying" He stopped throwing things when he heard Rex's words.

"I don't care," he muttered and sat beside the lake to calm himself. For three days he stayed there quietly, without sharing a word with Rex. He was trying his best to collect the broken piece of his heart. He was trying his best to prepare himself before facing Aana. He was trying to accept that she rejected him.

"We have been here for three days but there was not a single message from her" He laughed looking at his phone and then called Christian and told him to book his flight to Sydney for his meeting.

"Now you will run away from her," Rex asked calmly. He understood that humans need time but running away from her was not a solution.

"Yes, I will."

"Till when"

"Until I get hold of myself to face her" He muttered and stood up from the ground and booked a cab to go home.

It was midnight when Aaron entered his house. He went directly to his room, not wanting to face Aana.

"Why can't I smell her?" Aaron's eyes shot up with Rex's words and he realised Aana's room door was open when he crossed it and she was not inside it. Aaron started searching his entire house to find Aana but she was nowhere.

"Don't tell me she will leave us forever" He mumbled.

"but she did" Rex replied frustratingly and hid in Aaron's mind, not in the sense to say anything while Aaron was trying to accommodate that Aana left him.

Aaron was staring at Aana who was remembering past moments while closing her eyes. She opened her eyes when she felt his lips on her forehead.

"We reached the NGO" he muttered. Aana sat straight and looked at him and then around only to realise, the situation is different between them. Everything has changed and the worst change is he called her "Aana" instead of "Pearl". Tears brimmed in her eyes realising it.

"What happened?" He asked anxiously, seeing her teary eyes.

"Everything has changed" She whimpered.

"Don't worry, sometimes changes are good and I promise this time the change I will bring would be good for us and our child" He muttered rubbing his nose with hers.

Aana was bemused upon hearing her words and seeing him so calm. For a second it scared her but then after seeing her smile, all her fear vanished.

"I don't know what is going on in his mind, moon goddess but just keep this smile on his face. I'm ready to do anything for this smile. Anything" She prayed with a smile on her face while staring at her while Aaron was doing the same. He also prayed to the moon goddess to keep her smiling while staring at her.
