"Would you open your mouth?" She asked impatiently. Aaron sighed and moved back a little away from her then took out a ring from his pocket.

"Your ring." Tears fell from her eyes seeing the ring. It looks like her lost engagement ring.

"Vince" She holds the slab of the kitchen to control herself from falling, feeling overwhelmed.

"Where did you find it?" She asked, taking it from his hand while Alice was also confused about how Aaron found the ring. Aaron tightened his lips after seeing her so happy.

In the morning he called a jeweller to make a ring look like Aana's engagement ring. He just wanted to get her out of the guilt of losing Vince's ring and bring a smile to her face but he doesn't know about the word "Mine" which Vince himself carved on the ring to surprise Aana. Her smile vanished when she didn't find the word. She looks at Aaron with teary eyes.

"It's not my ring" His eyes widened upon hearing her.

"It must be someone else's ring," She muttered and wiped her tears.

"Pearl" He was out of words, not able to understand how she found it. Aana passed him a weak smile trying her best not to break down in front of him.

"She found out we lied to her" Rex muttered to his human anxiously. Aaron closed his eyes and cursed himself for even thinking of doing something like this. He opened her and looked at her.

"I'm sorry" he mumbled and cupped her face.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I know I shouldn't have lied to you about the ring in the first place." Her eyes widened upon hearing him.

"Does it mean you know that it was not Vince's ring?" She asked shockingly.

"Fuck" he cursed again realising he exacerbate the situation. She removed his hand and pushed him away when he nodded his head.

"I had a photo of you in which you were wearing your ring. I asked the jeweller to make a copy of your engagement ring... I'm sorry" He accepted his mistake while Aana was looking at him dumb-headed.

"Please don't be angry at him. He did this to bring a smile to your face and also to take you out of the guilt" Alice muttered anxiously, hoping she will not say any mean thing to him. Aana sighed and took his hand in her hand only to put that ring on his palm.

"Thank you for your concern but please next time don't do anything like this. Because it's terribly painful," she muttered and wiped her unwanted tears.

"I'm sorry, Pearl" he apologised. She smiled and shook her head.

"Don't worry, I'm not mad at you. I understand you did this for me but" She clamped up and turned her face in another direction to control her emotions.

"Next time don't lie to me about anything related to Vince even if it is for my happiness"

"I will never repeat this stupid mistake. I promise" He moved closer to her but she moved back.

"Give me some time. I will be alright" She muttered trying her best to stay composed in front of her.

"Why is her face turning red?" He thought and held her hand when she was about to cross him. Aana didn't turn towards him.

"Aaron le--leave my hand" she shuttered. His one lie reminds her of Vince. She felt like someone snatched him away from her as Alexander snatched him from her by killing him. Everything started revolving in her mind, especially the moment when she was about to confess her love to him when he got shot with a silver bullet.

Aana again started having panic attacks. She was trying her best not to think about it but was failing miserably. Aaron came in front of her to make her look at him.

"Pearl" His eyes widened when he looked at her condition. Her whole face turned red and was breathing heavily while tears were streaming down her eyes. She pushed him away to go towards her room but he didn't let go of her hand and pulled her closer.

"Pearl" He called her and felt her body shiver in his arms.

"Please help me. Please" She yelled. The moment when Vince was taking his last breath was roaming in her mind. She couldn't balance herself and fell to the ground. Thankfully he was holding her otherwise she would have injured herself.

"No... Vince... Please open your eyes. Vince" she yelled, breathing heavily. With every passing second it was becoming hard for her to even breathe.

"Pearl... Pearl looked at me" He called her but she was not in her right mind to respond. Tears fell from his eyes seeing her in such a terrible condition. Now, he was realising why Alice asked to break this bond. He can't even imagine how she managed to handle herself. He was calling her continuously, trying his best to calm her but nothing was working.

He clutched his hair frustratingly then only one thought came into his mind. He pulled her closer and attached his lips to her. Her eyes widened and all the thoughts vanished from her mind with his one kiss. In the next second, she felt her body get numb. She closed her eyes, feeling his love which he poured into a kiss. He made her forget everything but him. He broke the kiss when her breathing got normal and wiped her tears.

"Pearl" He called her anxiously. She rested her head against his chest.

"I'm fine. Just stay by my side" she mumbled and closed her eyes, inhaling his scent. He embraced her tightly in his arms, trying to calm his heart which was beating anxiously after seeing her in terrible condition.

After a while, Aaron stood up. She looked up at him.

"Get ready… We are going out" She scrunched her eyebrow.

"Where?"

"Maybe on a long drive"

"I'm not in a mood, Aaron"

"I'm not asking you, Pearl... Go and get ready. I'm waiting for you in the parking area" he said and left the kitchen before she would have denied it. Aana shook her head and stood up to get ready. Thanks to Alice who always heals her physically otherwise she would have become pale because of severe panic attacks.

Aana washed her face and looked into the mirror. She touched her lips remembering the moment when he kissed her.

"He will drive me crazy," She thought and went outside to the parking area, finding him waiting for her. A big smile came on his face seeing her. Seeing him smiling, a slight smile appeared on her face. He opened the door of the car for her.

They both went on a long drive and in mid they both had their lunch outside. It didn't take Aaron to bring a genuine smile to her face. She forgot everything with him and no one can say she had a panic attack in the morning. They both were talking about anything and cracking jokes. In between they were silent and also enjoying the time they were spending together. Someone said it with the right person, even silence feels special.

Days, weeks, and months passed, and Aaron and Aana became best friends, or say more than that. There was not a single minute in which they used to stay away except at the time of basic necessity. Aana's mental condition also improved with time because of Aaron. There was a time when she used to get panic attacks but he always handled them calmly. Many times he even missed his meeting to stay by her side. For him only she matters. He never leaves her side until she gets normal.

Only he can handle her when she has her panic attack and with time, even Aana never hesitates to share her fear with him or to call him when she has panic attacks. There was a time when she used to have continuous panic attacks but he never complained and handled her. With time her health improved and now she hardly used to get any panic attacks. She herself never remembered when she took her medicine.

Aana was sleeping in bed when the sun's rays fell on her face. she squirmed and turned towards Aaron to hide her face. The day when Aaron discovered that she had nightmares, he never left her side at night. When she used to wake up with a scream, he used to calm her. For a few days, Aaron used to sleep on a chair beside her bed. Aana requests him many times to go to his room and sleep properly but he always rejects her. In the end, she asked him to share the bed with him, maintaining a pillow wall between them but that pillow wall didn't stay even an hour between them. She always ended up in his arms in her sleep, nor did he complain. He loves to sleep while holding her arms and whenever he sleeps near her, she easily gets good sleep without taking sleeping pills. Even her nightmares stop haunting her.

After a week, they stopped keeping a pillow between them as it was of no use. She slept beside him as she became comfortable with him. He loved to hold her in bed but sometimes it become torture to him. He had to spend hours in the shower to calm his inner beast who badly wanted to claim her. Many times, they faced sexual tension between them and had little intimate moments but whenever he used to take a step ahead of hugs and kisses, Aana stopped him. She was not ready to accept her love for him and understand her feelings, he never forced him. That's a different story, Rex and Alice share many intimate moments when Aana used to be in deep sleep. They had oral sex but never consumed each other because they wanted Aana to accept the mate bond.

Alice was also recovering. For the cure of wolfsbane in blood, Aaron went to his pack and succeeded. He brings that solution from the pack which is a form of injection. At first, he thought Aana would reject him or question him as it was next to impossible to find a solution but thanks to his pack doctors who are number one in the werewolves world. When Aaron shared about the medicine, Aana didn't ask him a question and agreed to take them. At first, it was painful for both Aana and Alice as it was to neutralise the effect of wolfsbane. She screamed in pain on the first day but when she saw tears in his eyes for her. she muffled all her screams, silently enduring the pain for him.

With time, Alice was almost healed. Even Rex took her for a run in the forest of their pack. Where they both enjoy their time to the fullest in hunting, running, and playing with each other. Even Aana was happy for her.

Aana was about to turn off the alarm when Aaron held her hand and flipped her on the bed. He came over to her in sleep, caging her between the bed and his half-body while Aana was sleeping without any difficulty as she became used to it. They both went for dinner outside and came late because of that, they are having a hard time waking up

"Wake up, idiot. Did you forget we have to go for the arrangement of her birthday party" Rex yelled at his human who pretended to be sleeping, not wanting to leave a chance to hold her in his arms.

Aaron opened his eyes upon hearing him and sat straight. A smile came on her face when his eyes went on her girl who was sleeping peacefully.

"I can't wait for tomorrow, Rex. Finally, we are going to take a step forward in this relationship by proposing to her" He mindlink his wolf who was as excited as him. He leaned towards her and kissed her forehead.

"I hope to hear yes from you, Pearl." he thought, staring at her with love like he is quenching his thirst which never ends.
