"You can do anything for me, Right?" Aana asked with a smirk on her face which is enough for Aaron to know what is cooking in her mind.

"no... I'm not going to take my case back"

"Aaron please" She pleads.

"No," He said sternly and turned his face in another direction, not wanting to look at her cute face which always melted his heart.

"She is my sister-in-law, Aaron"

"So what?" He shrugged his shoulders and was about to go when Aana held his hand and came in front of him.

"Please release her from this drug case... My brother loves her. He hadn't eaten anything since the police arrested her, busy finding the solution to get her out of this case."

"If he loves his wife then I love you, Pearl. You may forgive her but I can't. She put your and Alice's life in danger"

"I know Aaron and it was all a past thing. I told you, I will be careful. Right now, please take Elsa out of this case."

"We won't take her out, Pearl," Rex said. He felt bad when Aana took a step back seeing him on the surface.

"Are you scared of me?" He asked.

"Wouldn't I be scared after seeing your behaviour when we fought"

"I'm sorry for scaring you with my aura but you also know that I will never hurt you"

"You can't hurt me physically, Rex but your words hurt more than any physical wound," Aana muttered. A tear rolled from her eyes.

"I'm sorry" He muttered and knelt in front of her, surprising her.

"Please forgive me, Pearl"

"You don't need to do that, Rex," She said, forwarding her hand towards him, indicating to him to stand up. He smiled and held her hand. That's when a thought came into her mind.

"You want me to forgive you, right?" she asked with an evil smirk.

"Don't fall for this smile, Rex. It's a trap" Aaron warned his wolf who nodded his head without thinking rationally.

"I can do anything for your forgiveness and also for this beautiful smile" Aana blushed hearing his words while Aaron wanted to hit his hand somewhere, knowing that his wolf got into her trap.

"Then release Elsa from this case"

"Aana"

"Can't you do that simple thing for me?" Aana said, showing him her puppy eyes.

"I can do anything for you my girl"

"This girl is a witch," Aaron thought and looked at his Lycan who was acting like a lovesick puppy in front of her.

"Thank you so much" Aana smiled and hugged him in excitement bringing a smile to his face. He took her in his arms, deepened the hug, and hid his face in her neck, inhaling her mouth-watering smell. Her heartbeat rose when she realised the closeness between them and the way he was inhaling her scent, adoring her in his way. Even she couldn't control herself from moving her hand in his hair and caressing them when his smell hit her nostrils.

"Rex" she moaned when she felt his tongue licking her neck. Rex was licking the place where he would mark her. She closes her thighs feeling wet with his simple torture. He smiled seeing his effect on her then groaned when her arousal hit her nostril. He parted away from her before he would have lost control over himself.

Thanks to his human who warned him to stay within the limit, knowing that this closeness might bring them into trouble. Aana glared at Rex then turned her head in another direction, getting mad at the way he distanced herself from him.

"Are you mad at me because I stopped?" He teased her. She glared at him angrily and then hit him again with that newspaper roll. Rex laughed and gave control to Aaron who gave a mischievous look to her before sitting on his chair.

"I will message Christian to tell the officer to release Elsa."

"Thank you so much," she said with a big smile on her face.

"I will inform brother John that Elsa will come home soon" Aana muttered and called her brother while Aaron kept staring at her lovingly. He smiled at the way she forgot her anger with his simple action. He loved how easy it was to make up for her and bring a smile to her face.

Aana looked at Aaron after disconnecting the call who was staring at her only.

"If you're done staring at me, can we start with our work?" She said and passed him a file.

"It's a nice way to stop me from doing my favourite work" He rolled his eyes and started reading the file. She tightened her lips realising he caught her thief. She doesn't want him to stare at her as she starts feeling butterflies whenever she catches him doing it. At the same time, she felt special and beautiful at the way he looked at her.

"You can smile freely, Pearl" She looked at him, widening his eyes, thinking how he knows but then she shook her head realising that he started knowing her better than anyone in this world. Aaron stood up from the chair after reading the file and looked at her side.

"Today is my important meeting... My employees and I work hard to crack this deal. Hope they like the presentation" Aaron muttered, looking at something in his laptop that's when his phone rang which was kept near Aana.

"Pick up the phone and tell them, if it is not so important then call me later" He muttered while still looking at his laptop, checking the presentation. Since the moment Aaron made Aana his assistant, she was handling his every meeting schedule, and most of the time she only attends to his phone call. At first, when he ordered her to pick up her call, she was shocked but now she has become used to it.

Aana nodded her head and picked up the phone. Before she could say something, the person on the other side started speaking.

"Aaron, I sent the special wolfsbane to your office which you asked me to prepare to control Rex" Her eyes widened upon hearing Patrick, Aaron's Beta. She put the phone on speaker with a shivering hand. The name of wolfsbane was enough now to shiver her soul in fear. It reminded her of all the things that happened in the past.

"Aaron" Aaron looks at Aana's side hearing Patrick's voice. He was about to take his phone from her hand but she moved back.

"I don't know why you asked me to prepare that stupid wolfsbane despite knowing how painful it would be for Alpha Rex. Please, boss, I prefer you not to take that injection. It will control your wolf but you and your wolf had to go through unbearable pain. Not only this, but your wolf will also get infirm for a week." He said everything in flow, getting panicked remembering the moment when the former Alpha used this injection to control his Lycan. It made his and his wolf's condition terrible.

"Patrick... At least you should wait for me to speak before opening your mouth" He sighed and looked at Aana who was startled after hearing everything.

"I'm sorry, Aaron but the thought that you have to go through that unbearable pain made me worried for you. Since Lycan doesn't get affected by Silver and Wolfsbane... your dad invented this special formula to control his wolf but it takes him one week to recover from it. That time we all are with him but you're alone over there and" Before he could say something further, Aaron snatched his mobile from Aana's hand and cut the call.

"Wolf---wolfsbane" She stuttered and tears rolled from her eyes. Aaron looked at her side and he widened seeing Aana. Her whole face turned red and she was shivering, breathing heavily.

"Fuck" He cursed and went to her, only to pull her into his arms. It didn't take him long to understand that she was having panic attacks.

"Aana... Calm down... Relax" he muttered.

"Wolfsbane," she said, breathing heavily. Tears rolled from her eyes thinking about Rex and Patrick's words about how painful it would be for him.

"Please don't take it. Please... Don't use it" she said in a shivering tone.

"Aana relax... please calm down baby and take a deep breath" Aana shook her head negatively. Tears were continuously falling from her eyes which was making her situation worse. He cupped her face and made her look into his eyes.

"Shhh... Nothing had happened with Rex... Look at me" he said, trying his best to calm her but Aana was having a severe panic attack. She remembered Alice's painful scream. The thought that Rex had to go through the same pain or more than that, was making her condition exacerbate. She clutches Aaron's shirt tightly in her fist and starts crying terribly, closing her eyes.

"Rex... My Rex" Aana mumbled. Alice tried to calm her human but nothing was working on her. Rex took control from Aaron realising only he can control this situation.

"Mate" Aana opens her eyes hearing Rex's voice.

"Rex" she whispered, looking into his eyes. He nodded his head, confirming to her that he is in control of Aaron's body.

"Yeah… It's me and see I'm absolutely fine," he said and wiped her tears lovingly. She looks at him carefully from top to toe to see if he is in any pain.

"I'm fine, Pearl. Nothing has happened to me. Relax" he muttered and moved his hand smoothly on her back to calm her and thankfully finally it worked. She starts simmering down. He leaned towards her and kissed her forehead.

"Water?" he asked and passed her water glass. She tried to hold the glass with her shivering hand. That's when he made her drink water with his hand.

"Sit here" he muttered and made her sit on the chair then sit on another chair, in front of her. He takes her hand into his.

"I'm absolutely fine, Aana," He said, assuring her. She nodded her head and looked at him with wet eyelids.

"I'm sorry... I started remembering the moment when Alice used to scream in pain. The thought that you had to go through the same pain, trembles my soul"

"Relax... I'm okay. Aaron had no plan to use the wolfsbane until" He tightened his lips, not able to understand whether he should share this information with her or not.

"Until what?" She asked impatiently.

"Until Alice went on heat" he answered, widening her eyes and that's when she realised the situation about the biggest upcoming problem about which she forgot. She brought the tablet from Ryan, knowing that she-wolf gets on heat after finding his mate for mating with him and at the time, her arousal and temperature of her body is ten times stronger than normal. It's hard to control a she-wolf when she goes into heat.

Aana opens her mouth to say something but then closes it, not finding any word. He kept his hand on her left cheek and moved his thumb. She closed her eyes feeling his touch which was soothing her.

"Alice shared with me that you purchased the tablet to control her at the time of heat" Aana opened her eyes and looked at him but didn't say anything. Somewhere she had an idea that Alice met Rex after she went to her sleep.

"As a Lycan, It's hard for me to control myself from marking and mating with you. Only I know how I'm controlling myself just for you but I might lose control over myself when you go on heat, sensing your arousal" Her eyes widen hearing his words. She pulled her hand out of his grip nervously. He smiled seeing her reaction.

"your reaction says that you won't like it if something happens between me and Alice." he chuckled then removed the strand of hair from her face, locking it behind her hair.

"That's why Aaron asked his best friend to prepare that special wolfsbane to control me when I lose control over myself in desire," He said and kissed her forehead.

"Don't worry... We will not come close to you, not until you want" he said with a smile bringing a smile to her face.

"I know but at the same time... I don't want you to go through that pain."

"Relax... Patrick exaggerates the thing. It's not that painful. I will handle it."

"Why?" He scrunched his eyebrow not getting what she wanted to ask.

"Why are you doing this? Why you're ready to bear the pain despite knowing that I don't love you"

"Let's not touch the love topic" He rolled his eyes and held her hand. He kissed her palm lovingly.

"And about your question why. It's because we love you and can do anything for you, Pearl. I can die" Aana kept her hand on his lips before he could complete.

"Don't utter rubbish... Also don't think of doing something like this. Even if I'm dying in front of you then don't sacrifice your life for me."

"Vince died while saving me. Please promise me, you will not do the same. Please" She pleads.

"I can't promise you something which I won't be able to fulfil," He said and gave control to Aaron who smiled and stood up from the chair.

"Don't be worrywart, Aana. Go home and take a rest. I will handle the remaining work, " he said, arranging the files on his desk.

"I will go after completing my work" She mumbled after a while.

"I told you, I will manage. you had a severe panic attack. It would be better if you rest. Don't stress over unnecessary things. Leave everything to me, I will handle it. Go home" he said, leaving no room for argument. She nodded and stood up from the chair to go home.

She stopped at the door and turned to look at Aaron who was looking at his laptop, checking his presentation for the third time. Anyone can say that he is nervous and desperate to get this deal.

"Aaron" He looked at her side.

"All the best" A smile came on his face hearing her. The way she stopped and wished him, flattered his heart. It was not a big thing but her simple wish made him feel special and motivated him to crack this deal.

"Thank you"

"You will get the deal."

"I know because after your wish nothing can stop me from getting this deal," he thought and nodded his head. She smiled and left the office to go home. All the way she was thinking about whatever happened a while ago.

She locked the main door behind her and turned to go towards her room. That's when Elsa blocked her way. A smile came on her face.

"How are you?" Aana asked in concern as Elsa spent her last night in prison.

"Don't act as if you care" Elsa hissed and pushed her away.

"Behave Elsa. Did you forget the lesson I taught you last time" Aana frowned and took a step closer to her. She moved back in fear remembering that Aana almost broke her wrist if she wouldn't have said sorry to her for behaving like a bitch.

"You're asking me to behave but what about you? I can't believe you filed a case against me for dealing drugs" She said, hiding her fear behind anger.

"Like I wasn't able to believe that you gave me drugs." Aana mocked and pushed her aside to go inside her room. Elsa followed her, blubbering about how wrong Aana did to her while Aana ignored her completely. She was busy thinking about Aaron.

"I'm talking to you" Elsa yelled after getting no response from Aana.

"Why are you yelling at me unnecessarily?" Aana asked, finally looking at her so-called sister-in-law.

"unnecessarily? How shameless you're? After sending me to prison asking me why I'm yelling at"

"I didn't," Aana said, interrupting her in between. Elsa scrunched her eyebrow in confusion.

"Even though you deserve to be in prison, I didn't file any case," Aana said and took out a pair of clothes to take a shower.

"Liar... if you didn't file the case then who does? Only you know I purchased the drug to give you" Elsa yelled.

"Would you stop yelling? I told you I didn't file any case. Now it's up to you to believe it or not" She shrugged her shoulders.

"Don't play over-smart with me, Aana you will regret it."

"If you didn't leave my room right away then you will surely regret it" Alice growled at her taking control from Aana. Thanks to her lens because of which Elsa didn't notice the change in colour of her eyes but she shivered in fear, feeling Alice's aura.

"I'm going but I promise you that you will regret doing this. You send me to prison. Just wait and watch, I will make you go through worse than I went yesterday" She said before storming out of the room. Alice gives control to Aana who turns her head and looks at the door side from where Elsa left.

"You don't need to worry about anything when I'm with you," Alice said, sensing her human getting worried about Elsa's warning.

"You don't know her, Alice... she can go to any extent to take revenge. We will have to be careful" Aana muttered, knowing that Elsa will not stay quiet until she brings the storm into her life.
