Tears fall from Rex's eyes at the thought of losing Alice. It is something like someone has taken the light of his life. Without her, his life will be filled with darkness.

"No Alice... We are meant to be together and nothing can separate us. You and I are fated mates." He said desperately and pulled Alice closer, holding her waist, leaving no space between them not even for air. Her chest brushed with his, making her heart throb but she controlled all her emotions. Right now, her anger was hovering over all her emotions.

"Rex"

"Please, Alice... Don't leave me... I know you're angry with me and you're right. I realise my mistake… I'm an idiot who uttered nonsense. Please forgive me but don't leave me. I will die without you."

"Rex leave me" Alice muttered, trying her best not to look into his eyes, knowing that if she did then she won't be able to stay mad at him. Her heart will easily win over her anger which is the last thing she wants. For Alice, Aana's respect matters the most. Rex tightened his grip around her waist when she started struggling to get out of his hold.

"Please... please.. don't push me away. You become the reason for me to live in this world. You can't do this to me. Please forgive me. Give me any punishment but don't leave me" Rex said desperately. He didn't want to lose her at any cost and was ready to do anything to make her stay in his life.

"Don't take any decision because of me, Alice. You love him." Aana mindlink her.

"Yes... I do love him but I love you more than Rex. The moment you accept me and share your pain with me, you become the most important person in my life. I might forgive him for everything he said earlier in anger but he brings your past in between despite knowing how sensitive Vince's topic is for you. He freshens all your wounds and I can't forget him for disrespecting you and your emotions.." Alice replied to her human and pushed Rex away.

"Alice... Please forgive me.. please."

"No Rex. I can't forget you. If I did today then you will use Aana's past again to hurt her... Maybe she can forgive you but I won't... I won't forgive you for hurting my human"

"Alice"

"We should have trusted Aana's decision and gotten separated on the first day then maybe it would not have been so painful to get separated."

"You're saying this, Alice? You? Who taught me to fight for our love till the last breath?"

"And this is the way you're fighting for our love? By hurting Aana with whom life is always unfair. She already broke from the inside and what did you do today? You pierce all those broken pieces of her past into her heart. I told you to never give up on us, Rex but never in my dream did I think you would start fighting and scare my human by realising your aura and hurting her with your words." She snarled and crossed her hands around her chest.

"No, Alice… I didn't release my aura to scare Aana. It was unintentional.. how could you think that I will scare Aana and you?"

"But you did, Rex... You hurt me and Aana" She muttered and tears fell from her eyes. She straightened her hands when a memory hit her. She remembered the moment when she intentionally seduced him inside the car to stop him from teasing her.

"You remember that moment?" Rex asked with a mild smile.

"I'm not a person who forgets things… I do remember everything. Neither do I forget the words you used to admire me and Aana nor do I forget the words you said to hurt Aana. I will not forgive you"

"Alice please" He pleaded.

"You're wasting my time Rex," Alice said, turning her face to the other side, unable to look into his eyes which were filled with tears. It was breaking her heart.

"You want me to stay away from you?" He asked dumb-headed, still not able to believe that his Alice was behaving with him like this.

"Why are you only seeing her behaviour, Rex? Don't forget what you said to Aana and your behaviour towards her. You pushed Alice to take a stand for Aana. you have no right to complain about her behaviour when you are the reason why she is pushing us away. I don't even want to talk with you. Despite my warnings, you didn't listen to me. Now face this." Aaron growled... He was also pissed at his wolf who behaved like a jerk with Aana. He was warning Rex continuously to control his tongue but Rex didn't listen to him like he took an oath not to listen to anyone. Not even his sanity which was telling him that he is doing wrong.

"Yes... I'm telling you to stay away from me and please also do a favour on me and Aana by accepting our rejection" Alice said leaving him dumbstruck on the spot. She looked at him for the last time before crossing him to go to her room. She didn't want Rex to smell her pain and saw tears in her eyes. His tears were enough to break her into tears.

Only Alice knows how she said those words. It was painful for her but still, it is less painful than to see her human in so much pain. She directly went to her room after entering her flat and closed the door before resting her body on the door. That's it... She lost all her strength and broke down into tears...

"Aahhh... Rex" She yelled, whimpering in pain. The pain of separation, the pain of hurting him, the pain of her human, the pain of seeing tears in his eyes. Everything was overwhelming for her. she lay on the ground while crying, unable to hold herself.

"Why? Why do you bring her past, Rex? Why?" She complained to him again in the closed room.

"I told you not to fight with him. Why did you ask him to accept our rejection when you loved him so much?" Aana couldn't help herself from asking. She knows that Alice fought with him for her but asking him to accept the rejection was something that Aana was not able to understand the reason behind.

"I know you fought with him for me but why did you ask him to accept the rejection? You could have simply asked him to stay away until he realised his mistake" Aana asked, feeling bad for her.

"Because of two reasons," Alice sniffed, trying her best to control her emotions. She gave control of her body back to Aana.

"What are they?"

"First I don't want to stay in a relationship where there is no respect for my partner despite there being so much love in that. For me, RESPECT is more important than LOVE. I will always choose respect over love" Aana nodded her head understanding her point and that's when she remembered how Aaron respected her and her decision. Always try to make her comfortable and never touch her without her will. A smile appeared on her face remembering Aaron.

"Aaron always respects us," Aana muttered without thinking much.

"But Rex needs to learn how to behave," Alice scoffed. Aana didn't say anything on that part because if she ignores today's incident then she can't tell that he is bad because she needs time to understand him as Aana barely spends any time with him.

"And what is the other reason?" Aana asked, coming back to the topic.

"To end this one-sided relation" Aana's eyes widened upon hearing Alice. This is the last thing that she expected would be the reason behind Alice's decision.

"One-sided?"

"It's hurting them, Aana... Your continuous denial of their approach is hurting them. Rex's reaction was the sum of all the pain and suffering of his and Aaron because of your rejection from the day we met them in the office." Tears fell from Aana's eyes.

"I can't see him like this. I don't want them to suffer the pain of rejection every day. It's better if they accept our rejection and move on." Alice said, wiping her tears with her paw.

"But Alice, this is not what you all want. You love Rex and Aaron and they both loved you. You even fought with me for your" Aana argued.

"But this is what you want, Aana. You should be happy that finally what you wanted is happening." Alice said, interrupting her. Aana opened her mouth to say something but then closed it, not able to find words. She herself is not able to understand why she is feeling bad when she wanted this to happen a long time ago. She wanted them to accept the rejection and now when Alice also said the same thing, she is feeling bad.

"Alice is right... why I'm feeling bad when I wanted this to happen a long time ago" she asked herself and lay down on the ground, thinking about whatever happened and what the future held for us. Everything that happened put Aana in a dilemma... The dilemma of what her heart wants and what the future holds for them.
