Aana looked around and then sighed in relief realising that they are at the back side of the building where rarely anyone comes. She turned her head back to Rex who was growling in anger while his eyes colour changed between blue and brown. It didn't take her long to understand that Aaron and Rex are fighting for control.

Aaron doesn't want Rex to be in control especially when he is in anger. he knows that his wolf loses his sanity in anger and he might end up hurting Aana unintentionally which later will put them in guilt. he was trying his best despite knowing that if Rex want to take control then he can't do anything about it. Rex hopped down from the car and went towards Aana whose heartbeat rose, sensing his anger. She was shivering in fear because of his aura.

"Rex... aah" she groaned in pain when Rex slammed her back with the car. she whimpered when her back got hurt a little in this process. Thanks to Alice, she quickly healed her human.

"What is your problem?" he growled and held her by the shoulder. She started feeling pain in her arm because of his tight hold. It is like he would break her bone in anger.

"You're hur---hurting me, Rex" Aana stuttered. He loosened his grip when he saw tears in her eyes.

"And you're hurting both of us, Pearl" Aana raised her eyelids to see into his eyes which were filled with tears, telling her how much she hurt him with her words. She bows her eyes, not able to look at him in pain. He moved closer to her, caging her between him and the car.

"Why are you doing this to us? My human was trying his best to win your heart but what are you doing in return? You're hurting him again and again... Not only him but me and Alice as well... You know how much we both love each other but you... You are adamant on your stubbornness not to love anyone. just want to stay in pain and whoever tries to take your pain away, you excruciate them as well... Why? Why are you doing this?" He yelled, making her shiver.

"You're leaving in darkness and caging all three of us with you. Why are you doing this? what is our fault that you love someone and he is not anymore?" He growled. She abruptly looked at him as unintentionally Rex sprinkled salt on her wounds. He pulled her closer to him.

"Is it our fault to love you? Is it our fault that we want you to be happy as well? What is our fault? Aaron wants you to accept us as your mate and he is trying his best. In return what you're doing? Instead of giving us a chance, you're hurting us again and again"

She could feel how much pain she is causing them with her words and actions. It's like he is hiding his pain behind his anger. Aana was about to keep her hand on his chest but stopped in mid when Jenny's mother's words roamed in her mind.

"You're jinxed, Aana. You bring misery into your close ones' life, only giving them endless pain. You can never give happiness to anyone but snatch everything from another person. You're jinxed"

Tears fell from her eyes remembering those words. Jenny's mother said all these words in the grief of losing her only child.

"You're right, Rex... You're getting punished for loving me." She mumbled and pushed him a little away in fear. Fear that he will get hurt because of her. Somewhere Rex's words take Aana back to the time when she lost everything. Alice whimpers sensing her human pain and at the same time, she could feel how much their mate is facing because of them.

Aana's words enraged Rex more. He is thinking that Aana is again trying to push him away or taunting him for putting effort to win her heart.

"What did you say? It's my punishment" He frowned and clutched his hair in frustration and anger.

"you're right... It's our punishment to love you." he chuckled and looked toward her. She was not even looking towards him, how she would? She gets lost in remembering her past. unaware of this, Rex took it differently, he started thinking that Aana doesn't care about them.

"I wonder how your Ex, Vince used to handle you. I'm sure he must have gone mad because of your behaviour." Aana came to her senses when Aaron took Vince's name. She looks at him abruptly, not expecting that he will use his weakness to hurt her.

"Rex don't... you're crossing your limit" Aaron warned his wolf and tried to take control but failed badly.

"Vince" Aana mumbled.

"Yes, Vince... I'm sure like us, you must have given him unbearable pain and I will not be in shock if someone tells me that he died because of you" Rex growled and in the next second he earned a tight slap on his cheeks.

"What the" He clamped up when he saw Alice on the surface who was fuming in anger.

"You" she pointed her finger to say something but not a word came out of her mouth. she was overwhelmed with pain... The pain of her human who was not saying anything but Rex's words broke her again. her old wounds get freshened because of his words.

"Alice" Rex moved forward to hold her in his arms but she pushed him away.

"Stay away" She growled and a tear rolled from her eyes because of the immense pain…Pain through which her human is going, which is higher than any physical pain. Alice clutched her hair in frustration, not able to understand what she should say or do.

"Alice... You also start pushing us away?" Rex asked shockingly, unable to believe that she asked him to stay away.

"Accept our rejection" Alice muttered and looked at him whose eyes widened upon hearing her.

"You're... You're asking us to accept rejection?" He questioned, not able to believe his ears.

"Yes... you and your human are in so much pain because of us then why not to end this... If this bond is giving you so much pain and suffering then why not break this bond" she shrugged her shoulders and wiped her tears which were flowing down without her permission.

"Alice" He again moved forward to hold her.

"Stopped," She growled. He halted his step.

"Why do we have to repeat ourselves in front of you and your human?" Alice frowned, remembering the moment when Rex held Aana tightly. She was feeling terrible for her human who is mishandled by everyone.

"You said so many things to Aana without thinking. Have you had a bit of an idea of what you did today Rex? you freshen all her wounds." She mumbled and held Rex's collar.

"Just because she shared her past with you, it doesn't mean you can use it against her to hurt her. Imagine if something happened to me"

"Alice" Rex growled, interrupting her. Alice smiled after seeing his reaction and left his collar.

"You don't even want to hear that something might happen to me then imagine what pain Aana is going through. She saw her love die in front of her eyes" Alice mumbled, making him realise what blunder he had created. He exacerbated their relationship with Aana.

"I'm sorry... I said all that in anger. Aana was pushing us continuously. It made me furious then"

"Ohh fuck off Rex" She shrieked interrupting him.

"No matter what happened, you have no right to bring my human's past in between"

"But"

"Not a word Rex." She muttered and closed her eyes to calm herself.

"I'm fine, Alice... I'm used to it. You don't have to fight for me with Rex" Aana mindlinked Alice to calm her.

"No.. what do you mean by you getting used to it and Why will you tolerate everyone's abuse for no reason, especially when I'm with you? What's the use of my existence if I can't even fight for you?" Alice scoffed and opened her eyes to find Rex's eyes on her. He was waiting for her to calm down.

"Believe me, Alice… I didn't mean to hurt you. It all happened because of your human who always separates us" he muttered and extended his hand to hold her hand but Alice shoved his hand away.

"If you have so much problem with my human then reject us… Over it and go from our life." He was dumbstruck upon hearing her words, unable to believe his ears that his Alice was telling him to go away.

"You're telling me to go away, Alice?" Rex asked again to confirm himself.

"Yes, Rex… I'm telling you to stay away. That's all we were destined for, Rex. Moon goddesses make us mates but we are not meant to be each other." A tear rolled from his eyes upon hearing her. Somewhere her words were enough for him to know that they are on edge to lose the love of their life or maybe he already lost them...
