Aaron and Christian both tried to get up in hurry but ended up falling onto the bed together. Aana was still in shock after seeing them in that position.

"It's not like what you're thinking" Aaron muttered and moved away from Christian to get up. Aana looked at him and then at Christian.

"Okay," The only word that came out of her mouth was okay. She went out of the room trying to accommodate what she saw. Aaron turned his head and looked at Christian who was glaring at him.

"You have spoiled all my image in front of her" Aaron growled.

"as if you increased my number" He snapped.

"And why do you care about your numbers in front of her?" Aaron asked, raising his eyebrow. Christian sighed knowing what Aaron was thinking.

"Don't worry... I'm not a danger to you because I know she had no feelings for me."

"I know that but that doesn't mean I will ignore the fact that you like her" Aaron scoffed, giving Christian a silent warning to stay away from his girl.

"I'm not the kind of person, Aaron, who will snatch other's love for their selfish reason and moreover I know that she likes you not me" Aaron's face lights up hearing Christian. He forgot his burning jealousy and a smile appeared on his face.

"What did you just say?" He asked.

"I'm not those"

"Cut the crap" Aaron growled, interrupting him.

"Repeat the last line"

"That she likes you not me," Christian muttered, getting a little annoyed.

"And how can you say that she likes me"

"It's clear by the way she stares at you" Christian replied with a painful smile whereas Aaron had a big smile hearing that Aana had a feeling for him.

"A positive signal" Rex howled in happiness. Aaron nodded agreeing with his wolf. He happily hugged Christian and kissed his cheeks out of excitement.

"Thank you... thank you... thank you so much" he yelled and that's when his eyes went to Aana who was standing at the door looking at them widening their eyes. He briskly parted away from Christian who was glaring at him angrily.

"I came here to inform you that I'm leaving" Aana muttered, gritting his teeth. Aaron smiled after smelling her jealousy. She fumed seeing him smile and left from there. Aaron rushed behind her and held her wrist. She turned towards him.

"Why did you come here, sir? continue what you were doing with your so-called boyfriend" She snarled.

"What? Boyfriend?" Aaron laughed at her choice of words and then moved a little closer to her.

"He is my friend not boyfriend and you also know that I'm straight."

"How would I know that?" Aana rolled her eyes, not liking his man close to someone else in bed that is not her, even if that someone is a man.

"Didn't you feel my cock poking your stomach when we were close?" he asked with a playful smirk. Her eyes widened at his bold answer and her whole face turned remembering that moment.

"Wh---what are you saying?" She stuttered, turning her head in another direction.

"You don't know what I'm saying" he whispered in her ear. she shivered and closed her eyes to calm herself while a smile appeared on his face, seeing his effect on her. He maintained a distance from her and then made her look into his eyes.

"I was mad at Christian about the dress size and was beating him but then he shared with me that it was her sister's dress" Aaron confessed.

"You thought in a wrong way about me and Christian?"

"No Pearl... You're taking it the wrong way. Neither do I doubt your intention nor his. It's just my protective side towards you because of which I couldn't help myself from asking him directly." Her heart fluttered hearing his words. It reminded her of his dad's protective side who always stood up in front of her like a protective shield. Even when Alexander was abusing Aana, he came in front of her and fought with Alexander despite knowing he can't stand even for a second in front of Alexander. Aana's eyes moistened remembering that moment while Aaron was noticing her every move.

"Aana" She came to her senses when Christian called her. She turned her head towards him.

"You know that I love you from the day I saw you for the first time but believe me I had no bad intentions for you. I respect you in the same way I respect my mom and sister." Christian muttered, boiling Aaron's blood while Rex was growling in anger, all he wanted to do was to rip Christian's head from his body.

"You don't need to explain yourself, Christian. I know what kind of person you are, " Aana replied, passing him a mild smile.

"Yeah freaking good person" Aaron frowned. Aana looked at his side and a genuine smile appeared on her face smelling his jealousy. She turned her head and looked back at Christian.

"I hope you also know that I don't love you" she muttered and a big smile appeared on Aaron's face hearing her words.

"But yeah… I will always be grateful to you for everything you did for me" Christian nodded his head with a painful smile. Aaron's smile vanished when he sensed Christian's emotions. He felt bad for him.

"Don't worry...somewhere I learned this fact a long time ago that you're not in my fate." Aana could feel how generous Christian is with his words.

"Well, I can't be your partner but I can be a good friend and as a friend, I have a advice for you"

"Yeah"

"Aaron is a good man, Aana. He will always love you and protect you from the whole world. Don't lose him" Aana looked at Aaron who was looking at her only and the way he was looking at her was enough for Aana to know what Christian is saying is true.

"Yes… It's true Aana... No one can love us like Aaron does" Alice muttered to her human. Aana didn't reply and kept looking at her mate's eyes which were filled with love. she came to her senses when Christian's phone rang.

"Excuse me" Christian muttered and left from there.

"Let me drop you at home," Aaron muttered, not able to find an excuse to talk with her.

"No need... I will manage"

"Let me drop you, Pearl... please," he asked politely.

"Stop calling me, Pearl," Aana muttered, getting irritated by her heart which started throbbing whenever he called her Pearl.

"Why? Is it affecting you" She looked at him abruptly and her reaction was enough for him to know that he was right. She turned her head in another direction after seeing his smirking which indicated to her that she got caught in her own words and reactions.

"Why don't you accept your feelings towards me, Pearl?" he asked, intentionally calling her Pearl to see her reaction. She looked at him annoyingly.

"Let me drop you"

"Fine" she growled, knowing that no matter what she says, he won't listen to her.

Aaron parked the car in front of her flat and looked at Aana who was lost in her thoughts.

"Pearl" Aana looked at her side and a smile appeared on her face when she reacted to the name he gave her.

"What are you thinking?" He asked.

"I'm thinking about how to get rid of you. how to get rid of a person like you who doesn't understand the meaning of no?" She said and soon her heart broke into pieces realising how much she had hurt him with her words when a tear fell from his eyes.

Tears welled up in Aana's eyes which somehow she controlled and hopped down from the car before he could see her red eyes.

"I'm sorry, Aaron for hurting you but it's better to break all your expectations right now only before your wolf gets attached to me," Aana thought and that's when heard an earth-shattering growl. She turned and found Rex in control and the aura he was releasing was enough to make her soul tremble in fear.
