"Please say, Aana… What is bothering you? what is your problem?" Aaron asked, looking into Aana's eyes while Alice started praying to the moon goddess that her human share her pain with Aaron.

"My dignity" Tears welled in her eyes and her body shivered with the thought of losing her dignity.

"I'm afraid, Aaron... I'm afraid that they will catch me then" Aana was trying her best to share her pain with him but her past was so painful for her to speak about it. How can she say that she started dealing drugs in exchange for her body? She again started to panic at the thought of Alexander catching her while Aaron was watching her silently.

"She got traumatised after yesterday's incident" Rex mindlink Aaron, looking at their mate who was shivering in fear. Aaron nodded his head as he was also thinking that Aana was scared only because of yesterday's incident unaware of her past which made her soul scared even of her dreams.

Aana lost herself because of a past incident of her life. She was not someone who got scared but knew how to break someone's bone who messed with her. Everything changed. The fearless girl now gets scared even of darkness because of the days she spends in dragons. The girl who used to smile for no reason, now living her life like a dead person. The talkative girl turned into a silent girl.

Ryan, Aana's beta eyes get moistened seeing her sister from another mother like this. When Aana blocked him, he got scared and came to Aaron's place by tracking the location of Aana. He was about to go near her to scold her for thinking of taking her life but stopped, seeing Aaron near her. Seeing her mate handling her with love. He was looking at Aaron and Aana who were so lost in each other that they didn't even realise Ryan's presence and somewhere it made him assure that no matter how much Aana runs away from Aaron but they are meant to be together.

"Now I have to find out the reason and the person behind Aana's behaviour yesterday. She didn't crave drugs for one year but all of sudden her condition got worse. I know it was not her normal addiction. Someone knew her condition and mixed something with her food which triggered her addiction to drugs, making her ask for drugs like an insane person." Ryan thought. He tightened his fist to control his anger and then smirked. He took out the blood sample of Aana which he collected from the place where Alice morphed back into a human after the warrior's attack in the forest. He knows that this blood sample will clear up whether someone has messed up with her food or not and if by chance his doubt came true then even he doesn't know what he will do to that person who did this to her sister. He looked at Aana whom Aaron took in his arms to calm her. He smiled and left from there to focus on finding the reason and person behind Aana's condition. Ryan knows now that there is someone near Aana to handle her, calm her, and most importantly love her.

"Aana" Aaron called her when her cries turned into sobs. He looked down and found her sleeping in his arms. When Aana started having panic attacks again, Aaron stopped asking anything from her. He wants to hear what is going on in her head but at the same time, he knows she is not in a condition to share her pain with him. She needs time and he wanted to give her that time.

"I hope that one day I will heal you, Aana... I hope one day I become the light of your dark life" He mumbled and kissed her forehead. That's when a tear rolled from her eyes. She clutched his shirt in her fist like a baby and it was enough for Aaron to understand that she didn't sleep but at least she is calm, not panicking like before. He caressed her hair lovingly. After a while, she opened her eyes and looked toward him, only to find his eyes on her.

"Are you okay?" He asked lovingly. Aana moved her head negatively.

"My yesterday's behaviour" She sobbed and moved her eyes down in embarrassment.

"My addiction took over me. I'm sorry" Tears fell from her eyes. she was not even able to look into his eyes while Aaron could feel how much pain she was enduring within herself. He held her chin and made her look into his eyes.

"You don't need to say sorry, Aana. It's not your fault." He muttered and pulled her to make her sit on his lips. He could sense her fear.

"I can sense your fear, Aana. "What are you afraid of when I'm here?" He asked politely.

"If you didn't show up yesterday then... they... they would have" Before Aana could complete, Aaron put his finger on her lips, making her eyes widen. Her lips started quivering, feeling his touch and her heartbeat rose. A smile appeared on his lips seeing his effect on her body.

"When I'm with you no one... I mean no one can touch a single strand of your hair. No one can harm my girl" he said and his one eye turned red, signalling that Rex took half control from Aaron. Her body shivered, feeling his aura... Alice is also an Alpha female but Aaron's aura was much higher than hers.

"Who are you, Aaron?" Aana couldn't help from asking. his smile faded after hearing his question. He quickly took control from Rex.

"What kind of question is this?" Aaron chuckled, ignoring the eye contact.

"Rex belongs to which Rank?" She asked directly and noticed Aaron's reaction. The colour of his face faded.

"It doesn't matter because I'm an urban wolf," Aaron muttered.

"Still"

"All that matters is that my wolf loves your wolf, Aana '' Aaron said, interrupting Aana in between. He changed the whole topic so that Aana doesn't ask any further questions and it seems like his plan worked. His words were enough to make Aana out of words. She turned her face in another direction. she could sense Alice's happiness by the way she was howling in her mind and moving her tail happily.

Aaron held Aana's chin and made her look at him. He peered deep into his eyes.

"I don't know what made you go that wrong path, Aana but now when I'm here, I won't let you go into drug addiction." He muttered and lovingly removed the strands of hair which were coming on her face. she kept looking into his eyes, it was giving her different peace and a safer feeling. She knows that whatever he was saying, he meant it.

"You can have only one addiction and that addiction's name is 'Aaron Smith'. Got it?" He said. She got so much into his word that she unknowingly nodded her head in agreement. He smiled and leaned towards her to kiss her cheeks lovingly. She felt like her heart would come out when his lips touched her cheeks.

"You will be addicted to me, Mrs. Aaron Smith" he whispered in her ear and kissed her earlobe, earning a moan from her mouth. He moved back a little and pulled her into a hug and Aana, started losing herself in his arms.

Alice was silently looking at everything, smiling. She didn't say a single word when Aana was with Aaron because she knew that the moment she called her human or said something, Aana would distance herself from Aaron which is the last thing she wanted. After all, she hardly gave a chance to Aaron to come close and win her heart and Alice didn't want that this time also Aana pushed Aaron away.

"What is happening to me, Alice… Why do I feel like this... This closeness… Him… everything is driving me crazy... I'm afraid." Aana mindlink her wolf.

"Afraid?"

"Yes... I'm afraid to get addicted to him" Aana muttered before closing her eyes to get a peace which she only found in his arms... Only in his arms.

Aana came back to the present when Stefan applied the brake of the car after reaching the NGO. She looks at her side and then at Stefan.

"We reached the NGO." Aana nodded her head.

"Are you okay?" He asked, noticing her looking at everything with teary eyes. Aana's eyes got moistened when she realised that everything had changed. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to calm herself then hopped down from the car without answering Stefan. What would she have said to him that her heart was shedding tears of blood. She looked ahead to go inside the NGO and that's when her eyes went on Aaron who was waiting for her arrival with a smirk on his lips and his smirk was enough to scare Aana, reminding her of an upcoming storm in her life that might make her lose her baby.
