"I was hiding behind bruises with Ryan when I saw a few wolves running behind a girl who was wearing my dress. It didn't take me long that she was Jenny and they were misunderstanding her as me. I was about to go near her but Ryan restrained me. He told me only one thing, that they are doing their duty... The duty to serve their Alpha and save the future Alpha means me. I tried to fight with him but failed and then in the next moment, I saw those wolves jumping on Jenny and killing her brutally, eating her alive. I screamed seeing that horror scene and Ryan kept his hand on my mouth. Tears fell from his eyes and his tears fell on my face. He sacrificed the love of his life only to save me. Maybe they already knew that it would have happened. I still remember Ryan's condition. He was trying his best to control himself, not to go near Jenny. After a while, they all were going back but then stopped, sensing our presence. They caught us hidden behind bruises."

"After that, they all started attacking Ryan and two warriors captured you" Alice muttered, interrupting Aana. She remembered when she was born or when Aana shifted for the first time from human to wolf. Alice saw two warriors trying to cage her and others were harming a person and the fact that she could feel Ryan's pain was enough for Alice to understand they belong to the same pack. Alice killed the warriors around her and then attacked those wolves who were attacking Ryan. It didn't take Alice long to kill them as she had a high-rank wolf, a red wolf who is known for her anger and brilliant fighting skill but then she lay down on the ground and whimpered in pain when the wolfsbane in Aana's blood started affecting her. She saw her human who was unconscious lying in her mind. Soon Alice morphed into a human. The wolfsbane in Aana's body was driving her crazy. she cried in pain while Ryan quickly covered Aana's naked body with his coat. First Alice pushed him away but when Ryan explained that he is a beta of the pack and also Aana's brother from another mother, Alice let him come close. Alice was still in control of their body when Ryan picked her up in his arms and ran outside the pack border then finally reached the nearby road. Thankfully they were not too far. He was requesting Alice to keep her eyes open which was strenuous for Alice but she somehow managed. Thankfully Ryan got a lift from Christian.

"Ryan was calling you again and again so that you remain conscious and because of that Christian still used to call me by your name Alice" Aana muttered to which Alice rolled her eyes, not caring much about him. She remembered how much Ryan was trying to keep her awake because if that day Alice would have closed her eyes then she might not be able to open her eyes again. She would have died. When they reached the hospital, Ryan injected some kind of antibiotic into her body. Jenny informed Ryan long ago, what kind of wolfsbane or say drugs are given to Aana, with that information he already started preparing the antibodies which will help to reduce the drug effect in Aana's body, so that Aana's wolf wouldn't die because of the amount of wolfsbane in her body. Thankfully his medicine worked. Aana took one year and eight months to recover.

"That time you had to face a lot of pain," Aana mumbled, remembering Alice screaming in pain in her mind. It was a painful year for Alice.

"It was painful but not more than what you face" Alice replied and wiped her tears with her paw. Alice always used to call her human rude, arrogant, and many more things but she never thought of the reason behind her behaviour.

"To be honest, I wanted to die but your presence always made me realise that by killing myself, you will also die which is wrong" Aana muttered.

"You wanted to kill yourself because of Jenny's mom's words, right?" Alice asked, remembering the moment when Ryan took her to the place where Aana's parents were living along with the remaining pack member who got the chance to escape from Alexander's warriors. That day everyone was looking at Aana with hatred considering her the reason behind their misery. They all have one thing in mind, if Aana wouldn't slap Alexander or say sorry to him then this wouldn't have happened. Even Aana's parents were angry with her for whatever happened. They didn't talk to her for a whole day... The next day, when Aana went outside for dinner her eyes went to Jenny's mom who stood up from her chair after seeing Aana.

Aana quickly holds Jenny's mom's hand and asks for forgiveness for whatever happened to Jenny. Jenny's mom pushed her away and started denouncing Aana for everything. She called Aana ominous who snatched everyone's happiness. She still remembers Jenny's mom's last words which she said before leaving the dining area.

"You're jinxed, Aana. You bring misery into your close ones' life, only giving them endless pain. You can never give happiness to anyone but snatch everything from another person. You're jinxed"

Aana closed her eyes remembering Jenny's words. Tears stopped falling from her eyes. Jenny's words built fear in Aana that her closed one will suffer because of her. Aana left that area and came here to her brother who is a human as the moon goddess didn't bless him with a wolf. Her brother, John, shifts to the human world and leaves his life. At first, when Aana came to him, he was happy and ready to let her live but his wife, Elsa, was not happy with her coming. Elsa started treating her badly but still, it was better how Alexander treated him. After one month, she started hunting for a job when Elsa started threatening John to throw Aana out of her house if she didn't get a job.

"Is Alexander still behind us?" Alice asked and her one question trembled Aana in fear.

"No... Ryan gathered information from his trusted person to know what happened after my escape and he came to know that Alexander and his people think that I'm dead after seeing Jenny's body." Aana muttered.

"Thanks to the moon goddess," Alice muttered. No matter how much she wanted to kill Alexander but she also knows that she can't stand against a pack that too without any training.

"I want that" Alice's eyes widened hearing these words from Aana. She still remembers when Aana was in the hospital, she used to scream the same words and wanted to have drugs because of her addiction.

"Aana, are you okay?" Alice asked in fear. Wolfsbane is dangerous for Alice, one more dose and she would be standing at the corner of death.

"I want drugs… I want to have it.."
