"What do you mean you gave up?" Alice frowned, waiting for her human reply who was shivering remembering her past.
"I agreed to Alexander's condition" Aana muttered and tears fell from her eyes. it would be a lie if Alice says that Aana's words didn't upset her but at the same time, she can understand her human condition who agreed because of the wolfsbane effect on her body.
"I---I tried to control myself but with every passing second it became hard for me and I ended up agreeing with Alexander's condition. Through a warrior, I send this message to him. Alexander ordered his warrior to give me drugs and send a message to me to be ready on my eighteenth birthday when he will take my virginity. It was painful for me but drug addiction snatched all my ability to think properly. The next day, When the drug effect ended on me, I was blank. Somewhere I accepted my misery. I was thinking about Alexander's condition. That's when my eyes went on my ring finger in which I was wearing a ring that Vince made me wear on engagement day" Aana muttered with a small smile and looked at her ring finger, she still wore the ring that Vince himself designed for her to surprise her on their engagement day. It was a beautiful ring on which "Mine" was engraved. Tears fell from her eyes with a smile.
"After seeing the ring, I started remembering the moments I spent with him. Especially how Alexander killed him. Reality hit me like a water wave. I felt like vomiting at the mere thought of Alexander touching me. It was making me feel sick. Moreover, how can I agree to sleep with a monster who killed my Vince? That time only one thought came to my mind and that is to kill myself" Aana muttered.
"That's why you had a mark on your wrist?" Alice asked to which Aana nodded her head.
"A few days ago, my regular doctor, Jenny, came to my cell for my checkup. She was loyal to my dad when he was Alpha. As Alexander was new Alpha that's why pack members had to serve him and I'm sure whoever opposed him had to face death. That day, Jenny kept a blade near me and asked me to hide it. At first, I didn't understand it but after seeing Vince's ring, I understood why she gave me that blade. She indirectly showed me how to get relief from this painful life. I took that blade and cut my wrist. I know I did the sin of killing myself but at that time I only found it as the best solution because I knew that my addiction to drugs would make me commit a bigger crime. I was happy with the thought that I will meet my Vince in heaven. I was happy despite the pain in my wrist. After some time, I heard some chaos around me, before I would have opened my eyes, darkness consumed me."
"Then what happened?" Alice asked impatiently, not able to understand how they are alive if Aana tried to take her life.
"When I opened my eyes, I found myself in the hospital and Jenny was sitting near me. By looking at her, anyone could say that she was waiting for me to open my eyes. She took a relieved breath when she found me awake. I asked her why she saved me when she was the one who showed me the way to peace then I got the answer that the blade she kept was not for suicide but an escape plan"
"Escape plan?"
"Yeah... Ryan, the beta of the pack who is like my brother, made this plan to take me out of hell. He mindlinked Jenny, who was his girlfriend, to stay in the pack for me and then help me to escape whenever I got the chance and finally the day before my eighteenth birthday, that chance came. Jenny made me wear her clothes along with a mask and she wore mine, laying down on my bed in my place. I told her to run away with me but she denied it and forced me to run alone while she will take care of the warriors. Before I could argue, she told me about my parents' condition, who was waiting for me and could die at any moment. I was in a dilemma about what to do and then I became selfish. I knew that if Alexander caught me alive then he would not leave me and I would lose my dignity. I ran as fast as I could in the forest but then stopped a few metres away from the pack border as I lost all my energy. I fall to the ground, breathing heavily. With each passing moment, I felt that I was getting closer to my death. I wanted to run but my body gave up and soon I started losing my sanity because of my drug addiction. Despite being in a worse situation, I wanted drugs. I stood up and was about to go back when someone held my hand."
"Who?"
"Ryan... He knew about my condition that's why he entered the pack and risked his life just to save me. Instead of thanking him, I started fighting with him to let me go. That's when he injected something in my vein. It was a temporary antidrug which will help me to remain conscious and control myself. He started talking to me and then he shared about my parent's health which somehow helped me to control myself. we both were running in the forest in the middle of right when I started feeling restless and pain in my body which are indicating me towards your arrival. Still, ignoring every pain, I again resumed running. That's when I and Ryan heard a growling of wolves which was enough for us to understand that Alexander got to know about my missing from the hospital."
"Ohh god… Then what happened?"
"We ran as fast as we could but the pain I was feeling in my body was not helping at all. I kneel on the ground when it becomes unbearable for me. I was feeling like someone was peeling my skin from my body slowly and gradually and I can't do anything about it. I was about to shout in pain when Ryan kept his hand on my mouth to control my whimpers. he took me behind the bruises when he sense some wolves' presence around us and then what happened next, shook my soul"
"What... what do you mean?" Alice asked, knowing that whatever happened was worse which her human saw just before her birth.
