"I don't know how to share anything with you brother. All I can say is Aaron was a diamond who brought light into my dark life with his brightness and in return, I broke that diamond into many small pieces." Aana muttered to her brother and wiped her tears which fell from her eyes without her permission.

"And now that broken pieces are piercing your heart" Stefan replied and played slow music in his car, to calm Aana as he understood that she is not comfortable sharing her past with him. Also he thought, this calm music might make her stop overthinking. Aana rested her head on the window and closed her eyes. She again started remembering her past when she was sitting on Rex's lap in the park.

#flashback

Aana was gawking at Rex surprisingly. Soon her shocked expression turned into a glare. She tried to get up from his lap but he didn't let her go, tightening his grip around her waist. He pulled her into a hug… Aana was trying her best to get out of grip while Alice was pouring in her mind happily and Aaron was warning Rex to not force Aana in fear of her reaction.

"You can cry," Rex whispered in Aana's ear. She stopped struggling in his arms and her body stiffened.

"You can cry as much as you want" Tears pooled up in her eyes. She gulped and shook her head, trying her best to control her emotion. Rex moved his hand and caressed her hair.

"we will not leave you Aana... No matter what you say or do. We will always love you" Rex said in a promising tone. Rex moved away from her and wiped her tears from the corner of her eyes.

"You will leave me as everyone does," Aana muttered.

"No... I will not" Rex said.

"But you should" Aana sobbed and held his shirt tightly in her hand.

"you both should leave me... I don't deserve anyone's love... I'm okay to be alone… Leave me" she mumbled. He looked at her and then at her hands which were clutching his shirt tightly like she was in fear that he would listen to her and leave her. A smile broke to her lips seeing the way she was holding him, not wanting him to go.

Rex and Aaron, both understood that Aana was battling with her mind and her heart. One is saying to stay away and the other wants to hold him, not letting him go a single step away. He kept looking at her while she closed her eyes and rested her head on his chest. Soon Aana again dozed off while Rex chuckled hearing her snoring. He removed the strands of her hair from her face and kissed her forehead. That's when she opened her eyes. It didn't take Rex long to understand that Alice was in control when she heartily smiled looking at him.

"I told you that my human wants you more than me," Alice said. He chuckled seeing her this happy.

"But her words are telling another story, mate," Rex teased her. Alice's smile faded with his words.

"You also know that she won't say openly that she wants you and Aaron by her side"

"I don't know anything and her words made me feel like we should accept her reaction" he shrugged. Alice's eyes widened upon hearing his words.

"Don't tease her... It won't be good to play with fire" Aaron warned his wolf, Rex.

"If she is a fire then I'm ready to burn in it" Rex mindlink him, looking at his cute mate whose eyes filled with water thinking that he will reject her.

"You wanted to reject us?" Alice sobbed.

"Fuck" He cursed immediately realising, she took his little prank seriously.

"Alice" he called her and was about to hold her hand but she didn't let him and stood up from his lap.

"Go ahead and accept our rejection but let me warn you, after that, you will never be able to see my face." She growled. He stood up immediately and was about to hold her hand but she pushed him away.

"Don't... Don't come near me. You wanted to accept our rejection. Do it... Do it now" She yelled. Tears were continuously falling out of her eyes. Aana opened her eyes feeling her wolf pain and found Alice in control. She got worried seeing Alice crying but didn't say anything observing the situation.

"Alice, it's not like that." Aana heard Rex's voice. She understood that there was some argument going on between Rex and Alice.

"Then what? Your words mean only one thing: that you don't love me as much as I love you and believe me I don't want a mate who can't love me the way I loved him. If you have a single doubt related to me and Aana then please go ahead and accept our rejection and break this bond. I might die with the pain of rejection but it will be better from holding you in an unwanted relationship" She said while crying bitterly. Aana felt a strange pain hearing her words despite wanting Aaron and Rex to accept their rejection.

"I"

"Stop" She interrupted him. "Reject me after I go. I can't hear those words from your mouth." She sniffed and ran outside the park. Rex also ran behind her but stopped when she stopped a cab and sat inside her.

"You hurt her asshole… I told you to stop pranking her" Aaron scrawled and took control of his body.

"I didn't know she would take my words seriously" Rex muttered and whimpered, sitting in his mind. Aaron clutched his hair frustratingly.

"We had to win Aana's heart and here you broke Alice's heart with your stupid prank. '' He growled at his wolf and went towards his car. Rex didn't say anything as he knew he created a big mess. Aaron sat in his car and started taking deep breaths to cool off and then think what to do next while Rex was impatient thinking her mate would be crying because of a stupid misunderstanding.

"We should go to her flat to talk to her and clear up all her misunderstanding" Aaron rolled his eyes at his wolf suggestion.

"She didn't listen to us when we were standing in front of her. Do you think that she will listen when we go to her flat?" He questioned his wolf who was regretting his action. "She will not listen to us instead throw us out of her house in anger"

"Then what should we do?" Rex asked impatiently.

"You should listen to me when I warn you. it's not wrong to tease her but at least think before doing anything. You know how sensitive this topic is for her. Alice is already fighting with Aana for us and you said you will accept Aana's rejection, throwing water on all her handwork"

"But I didn't mean it"

"Still you shouldn't joke about such a serious topic," Aaron said politely, making Rex realise his mistake without putting him in immense guilt.

"I realised my mistake and I'm sorry for it but now what? she is mad at us"

"Don't worry... We will do something and win her heart again"

"How?" Rex asked, jumping in happiness.

"Left everything on me" Aaron winked and started making a plan to win Alice's heart again and apologise for hurting her.
