Alice was lying on the bed, covering her face with a pillow and crying bitterly. She was still in control and crying thinking about Rex's harsh words about rejecting her. She was trying her best to control her emotions but wasn't able to. The mere thought that Rex would accept their rejection made her heart bleed. She is feeling like someone stabbed her heart with a knife and she was not able to take out that knife.

"Alice" Aana called her after an hour when she sensed her wolf calming down a little bit.

"You were right Aana... He will leave us" Alice sobbed and gave control to Aana, sitting back in her mind at her place, still crying. Aana sighed and sat straight. She wiped her face which was wet with Alice's tears.

"You must be happy now that our mate will accept your rejection and break this bond" Alice growled at her human. Aana didn't feel bad about her words knowing that Alice is in pain and fear of losing the only love of her life.

"How can I be happy when you're sad? I may sound rude, Alice but I'm not heartless" Aana mumbled. Alice stopped crying hearing her words and realised that her human is right. No matter how rude Aana behaves but she always tries to do good things for Alice. In fact, Aana rejected Aaron only because she knew, no matter what, she won't be able to love him back and it will only hurt Alice.

"You're only upset for me?" Alice asked and when no response came, she understood that Aana was also feeling dreadful because of Rex's words.

"He hurt both of us... I hate him" Alice yelled.

"You can't hate the person whom you love... No matter what they do?"

"But I hate him"

"I also used to say that when Vince left me alone in this world but later I realised it was written my destiny that my loved ones will leave me" Aana chuckled. Alice knew that she was hiding her pain behind that smile.

"I'm jinxed because of me, you also got separated from your love... I'm sorry. I wish the moon goddess wouldn't pair you with me, at least you would be happy and live your life happily" Aana said, feeling worse seeing Alice crying. She was blaming herself for Alice's pain thinking that she shouldn't have rejected Aaron and thought about her wolf before anyone.

"Why are you saying sorry? It's not your fault but our mate's who can't even win his mate's heart."

"It's not his fault. How would he win my heart when it is with someone else" Aana mumbled with a painful smile. They both went silent, not sharing any words because both are remembering the moment they spent with their love. Aana is thinking about Vince while Alice is thinking of Aaron and Rex. After a while, when Alice calmed down, she thought to continue the conversation they were having in the park before Aaron's arrival.

"Would you like to continue what we were talking about in the park before Aaron's life?" Alice asked, not sure whether her human is ready to share anything or not.

"About Vince?" Aana asked to be sure. Alice nodded her head.

"We were childhood friends. He was my only and best friend who understood me, cared for me... He understood long ago that we had something more than friends. He loves me secretly, but for me, he was not more than a friend or say I didn't realise my true feelings until I stepped into fifteen." Aana muttered with a blissful smile on her face.

"and then you meet our mate, Aaron and everything changes after that between you and Vince." Alice guessed the rest to which Aana nodded her head.

"right... When Vince came to know that I had someone for whom I'm developing feelings, he couldn't hold himself and confess his love to me. Vince was three years old. He was eighteen when he proposed to me but at that time, I didn't know the actual meaning of love. His proposal was so sudden that it made me blank but after that Aaron's thoughts never crossed my mind. Vince didn't force me to answer her then and there only. We became more than friends with time but I wanted to be sure about my feelings. When he turned nineteen, he met with his fate mate in a carnival that used to be held in my pack every five intervals. That day everything changed in our life. I wrote pain in my destiny that day" Tears rolled from Aana's eyes and she shivered in fear.

"What do you mean?" Alice asked.

"That day two incidents happened. first Vince met his fated mate"

"What?"

"Yes but thankfully he rejected her on their first meeting because he loves me. That day I realised how much he loved me and also I realised my feelings for him. I decided that I want only him in my life because I know no one can love me more than Vince." Anna replied with a big smile on her face.

"He fought with one of the biggest and strongest packs, Alpha Alexander, for my dignity. Alexander misbehaved with me and in response, I slapped him. That day everyone went against me including my parents for slapping the so-called respected Alpha but Vince stood by my side and fought with everyone for me. That day, I got a punishment for staying in a dragon without food and water for two days straight, even though I was innocent."

"What the hell?" Alice growled in anger.

"I accepted that punishment for my parent's sake. You won't believe what happened next." Aana chuckled remembering that moment. "Vince also spent those two days in dragon with me without food and water just to support me. I fought with him and even stopped talking to him, forcing him to change his decision but he didn't leave my side."

"No doubt why you love Vince even after his death. If I were in your place then I also would have fallen in love with a person like him" Alice replied. Tears brimmed in her eyes feeling Aana's pain of losing his love.

"After that day, we both got into a relationship and then got engaged the day after my seventeenth birthday." a smile vanished from Aana's face remembering that moment.

"What happened?" Alice asked.

"Everything got destroyed... my happiness, my love, he destroyed everything" Aana yelled, started crying badly.

"Aana" Tears rolled down from Alice's eyes, seeing her human crying bitterly.
