Aana was trying her best to calm herself but her fear was making her unstable.

"He wanted me, Aaron. he told me he would kill you and our pups. I got so scared." She cried. I moved my hand on her back to calm her.

"I'm with you, Pearl. Nothing will happen to me and our pups. you don't have to get scared of that leech. Please calm down" She looked at me and nodded her head. Thankfully my action worked and she calmed down.

"If I knew you were the strongest creature in the world then I would have asked Rex to kill that bastard, a long time ago. I want to torture him till death like he tortured me. I want to make him feel what I felt when he touched me. I want him to suffer the pain of wolfsbane that he gave me. I want to see him yelling in pain." I nod my head. Her words made me realise why she got angry and fought with me when she came to know about my true identity. She was mad because she was leaving in fear that Alexander could harm me and our pups.

"I'm sorry" I apologised feeling miserable.

"Why are you saying sorry?" she asked.

"I always misunderstood you. I'm sorry" She nodded negatively and wiped my tears.

"I can't forget the hurtful words you said to me but at the same time, how can I forget the moments when you confessed your immense love to me and made me feel blessed to have you" she muttered with a smile.

"How can you be so positive and great?"

"Because you're my mate," she said, making me chuckle. I nod my head and rub my nose with her.

"Alpha" Marry mindlink me.

"What happened?"

"Monika found her fated mate and she is going towards the pack border" she informed me.

"I don't care" I replied to her and broke the link. At this moment I don't care about anyone but my mate.

"I will fulfil all your wishes, Aana. he will make him suffer more than you went through. He will beg for death but I won't give him an easy death" I said. all the pain that I was feeling earlier is converted into immense anger and Alexander will burn in the fire of this anger.

"What? She found her mate" Patrick yelled all of a sudden and went out of the office. Marry might have mindlink him about Monika finding her Mate.

"What happened to him?" Aana asked.

"Monika found her fated mate" Her eyes widened with my words.

"Moon Goddess" She kept her hand on her mouth, thinking about this new storm that arrived in Monika's life.

"Right now I'm not in a mood to talk about someone else. I want to clear every misunderstanding between us" I muttered, remembering everything that Patrick told me including the reason why she went missing two days before our wedding.

"Patrick would have told you everything that Alexander did. What else do you want to ask?" She asked and wiped her tears.

"I want to know what happened two days before her wedding day that made you delay? I want to know everything that happened from the day you came to know about your pregnancy" Tears fell from her eyes upon hearing my question.

"Why do you want to know?" She asked.

"I want to clear everything between us" She shook her head negatively.

"You don't have any right to ask me this question when you didn't give me a chance to speak that day?" she turned her face in another direction.

"That day I was begging you to take your rejection back but you didn't. As a result, I lost Alice" she whimpered remembering that day.

"We... We lost her" I muttered feeling guilty for not thinking about Alice for once before rejecting Aana.

"Pearl" I helplessly called her when she didn't reply and made her look into my eyes.

"We lost her.. not only you. I know in comparison to me you felt more for Alice's death but that doesn't mean Aana that my pain is less. I regret every second for rejecting you, for doubting you and also because I lost Alice" I tell her the truth. I love her and Alice more than anything in my life after my parents.

"Your guilt won't make any difference, Aaron." She mumbled and looked at me with complaining eyes. "No matter what you do, say or how much you love me I can't forget that day you questioned my character." She muttered and hit on my chest.

"With that question, you lose every right to ask me an explanation" She mumbled and was about to get up from my lap but I restrained her, holding her waist while making sure that our baby did not get hurt in everything.

"Did you leave me any option? You lied to me every day and then expected from me not to question you, despite all the lies." I sobbed. Yes, I was guilty for not trusting her but in the end, I'm a human, not a god. Moreover, right now everything is frustrating me including her denial to answer my question.

"Please tell me the whole truth," I pleaded. Patrick told me what happened but I want to hear from her, everything in detail and clear our misunderstandings.

"You will break down" My eyes widened with her words, realising she was not denying to answer my question in anger but because she didn't want me to get hurt.

"I know I'm your culprit. The truth would break my and Rex's heart into several pieces. Guilt would make it difficult for us to face you but I deserve this punishment. I want to feel the pain you went through. I want to bear this punishment" She didn't reply and kept staring at me for a while before removing my hand from her waist.

"Wait over here" She muttered and went outside, only to come back with a diary in her hand. tears were continuously falling from her eyes. She held my hand and kept that diary in my hand.

"My beta was a psychologist. After what Alexander did and Vince's death. I went into depression. He was the one who took care of me. Since I was never able to share with him what Alexander and his warrior did when I was in his cage. He asked me to write it in the diary." She wiped her tears.

"In this diary, I wrote everything related to my encounter with Alexander and what he did including what happened two days before our wedding." I look at that diary and then at her, unable to understand what I should say. My hands were shivering while holding that diary, not knowing whether I would be able to handle the pain of truth or not but I wanted to punish myself.

"Alpha" Monika mindlink me when I was about to open the diary and then I heard the knock on the door. I kept that diary in the pocket of my jacket before opening the door, only to find Monika's wolf in control and she was crying.

"Luna" she pushed me aside and went towards Aana.

"My mate," she whimpered.

"What happened? why are you crying?" Aana asked her.

"I'm Anika, Monika's wolf. My mate is severely injured. he was bleeding"

"What?" she asked. "But how?"

"I don't know," She sobbed.

"Patrick take him to our pack hospital" I ordered Patrick who was standing a little distance away, watching everything silently.

"He wasn't ready to go." Monika's wolf yells. "He wants to meet you, Luna"

"Me?" Aana asked, pointing towards her.

"Yes, he is adamant to meet you. He put a condition that he would not get himself treated until you meet him. Please Luna meet him. Please otherwise he will die" She cried, joining her hand. Aana holds Anika's hand in her hands and nods her head negatively.

"You don't have to plead like this. Take me to him"

"But Pearl"

"I will be careful" she interrupted me before I could have argued.

"Fine but I'm coming with you" She nodded her head in agreement. We both were hopping down from stairs when our eyes went on Monika's mate.

"Moon goddess" Aana screamed and started climbing down at a higher speed.

"Aana careful" I yelled and took a breath when she slowed down her speed. The moment she reached down, she ran towards Monika's mate. At first, I thought she was worried about him as a good person but my eyes widened and the ground beneath me shook when she took his name.

"Ryan" Aana took his head in her lap and started crying. All the memories of the past started roaming in my mind when she started lying to me because of this man, Ryan. She used to talk to him at midnight and went to meet him after lying. Not to forget, Aana was with him for the whole two nights and when she came back, she was wearing his shirt. My blood boiled remembering that moment while Rex growled in jealousy and anger.
