I turned the page and saw Alexander's picture. I may sound ridiculous by saying his face is as disgusting as his personality.

"Alexander is the most cruel creature in this world. He is a monster who not only killed my mate but also destroyed many pack and pack members' lives, especially Red pack" I look at him.

"Red pack. I heard this pack name before" I muttered and sighed when I couldn't remember where I heard that name.

"He backstabbed their Alpha just because his daughter slapped him as he misbehaved with him" My face paled with his words.

"That pack used to organise a werewolf fair. once Alexander attained that fair. There he misbehaved with the daughter of Alpha and in response, she slapped him. He took it on his ego. To make her say sorry, he sent her to the dragon for two days, not caring that she was a teenager and didn't have a wolf. What was surprising is that despite everything, that brave girl didn't say sorry" I took a deep breath knowing the girl about whom he is talking is my mate. I tried my best to control my emotions, remembering the moment when Alice shared this incident with me. That time also I was fuming in anger but she refused to do anything.

"But Alexander was not someone who would easily accept his defeat. He attacked the pack when the pack members were celebrating the engagement of their future Alpha. She was with his date when Alexander shot the love of her life in front of her eyes. Her love took his last breath in her arms. I could imagine the pain she went through that time" Tears rolled from Patrick's eyes while saying all this. Even my eyes got wet.

"That's the reason why she used to wake up at night yelling Vince's name. She used to have nightmares of haunted days of her life" Rex mindlinked me and whimpered remembering how difficult it was for us to calm her in the beginning until she started trusting us and calmed down with our presence.

"Her misery doesn't end there. that monster" he went quiet. I felt goosebumps all over my body thinking what that asshole did with my girl.

"What he did?" I asked, trying my best to stay composed.

"He dragged her holding her hair towards the place where every pack member was celebrating. He tied her to the chair and ripped her all cl--clothes" He stuttered, not even able to speak about it and my girl faced it all.

"she was human at that time when he made her naked in front of everyone then beat her while his warriors were killing her pack member. Not once did she give up. she went unconscious but didn't ask for forgiveness or plead in front of that bastard which furious him more. He caged her in prison, tried to make her submit and when she didn't, he started giving her wolfsbane which were acting like drugs to her human body. He wanted to make her insane for drugs to make her submit and she was about to give up when the beta of the pack saved her. After Alexander's attack, one of the warriors of that pack joined us. He shared with me and also wanted to avenge everyone's death" Tears rolled from my eyes when he completed. It's even become difficult for me to breathe after knowing everything.

"Not only this, Aaron. After 6 years, he found the Alpha daughter and again tried to rape her. Thankfully she saved herself by injecting a wolfsbane in his veins. He swore to make her life miserable just because she slapped him. My pain is nothing in front of what she went through" I hold the table to balance myself on a chair. My heart is twitching with pain after hearing everything. Now, everything makes sense. Aana lied to me before because she wanted to hide her pregnancy news with me to surprise me and then she disappeared because Alexander attacked her.

I clutched my hair frustratingly while breathing heavily, not able to handle the pain after knowing her past. She went through so much. Tears were streaming from my eyes.

"Are you okay?" He asked, sensing my pain.

"How can I be? That girl is my mate, Patrick" I yelled. He looked at me, widening his eyes.

"No… That's not possible… Our Luna faced all that.. no… It must be a misunderstanding"

"I wish it could be" I whimper. "I wish... She shared about the slap incident with me and also about the encounter she had with Alexander, two days before our wedding day" I muttered, breathing heavily. I felt like my heart would pop out of my chest because of the pain I was feeling. I kept my hand on my chest. If Rex wouldn't be with me then I'm sure I would have had a heart attack by now.

"Aaron" I looked at the door and found Aana standing there looking at me devastatingly. She came running towards me.

"What happened? Why are you crying? Are you feeling any sort of pain?" She asked anxiously, on the urge of panic. I took a deep breath and shook my head negatively. She wiped my tears.

"Why are you lying? I was sitting in my room when I felt strange pain. I understood that it was not mine but yours. That's why I came here hurriedly. Please tell me what happened. Did someone say something?" I pulled her into my lap and hugged her while crying, not able to hold my emotions. He tightly hugged me and caressed my hair lovingly, knowing I just needed her to be by my side without saying anything. She parted away from me when I calmed down a bit and made me drink water from the glass of water which was kept on the table.

"Now will you tell me what happens that makes you cry?" I bow my eyes, not able to understand how to tell her the reason behind my tears is her pain. The thought she went through all this was breaking my heart into a thousand pieces.

"Patrick, You tell me. Why is he crying?" She asked, looking at my beta who was also crying.

"He asked me to get the details of enemies who attacked our pack in his absence."

"So?"

"Our biggest enemy is Alexander. I told him what the crimes he did which include how he destroyed your pack and your life" her face paled upon hearing Alexander's name and in the next minute, she started breathing heavily while shivering and crying. Maybe she started remembering harsh memories of her life. I pulled her closer to me when I realised she was having a panic attack.

"Pearl.. calm down. Please stop panicking. It's not good for you and our pups' health. Please calm down" She nodded her head and clutched my shirt tightly in her fist then closed her eyes, trying to calm herself.

"Take a deep breath" She did as I asked while sobbing.

"Release it" I made her do the same thing until she calmed down.

"He destroyed my life, Aaron" She sobbed and rested her head over my chest. I move my hand in her hair. "he killed Vince and tri--tried to rape me." She parted away from me and looked at me with terrifying eyes. The way she was looking at me I can say that he settled a fear inside her and there is something which is still hidden from me.
