I was sitting near the bonfire, shivering because of the cold. We are in the middle of a dark wild forest, which is known for its greenery. I moved closer to the fire to warm my hands and then touched my baby bump.

"Pearl" I looked in front, only to find Aaron glaring at me. He stood up and came towards me.

"It's freezing over here" I shivered and raised my hand towards the fire.

"You will burn yourself like this" he scolded me and pulled me into his lap.

"Aaron... What are you doing?" I muttered hesitantly and looked at Marry and Patrick who were talking to each other, ignoring us.

"I'm hugging the mother of my pups so that she will not catch a cold" He replied and made me wear the blanket properly. I snuggled myself into his warm naked chest which was providing me the warmth I needed. He kissed my forehead and warmed his hand in fire then rubbed my hands.

"Don't worry... I will not let you and our pups catch a cold." I smiled at his words and nodded my head.

"What are you doing?" I hold his hand when he is about to touch my foot.

"I thought to rub your feet"

"It-it's not required" I stammered and covered my feet properly with a blanket, restraining him. He squeezed his eyebrow and removed the blanket from my legs despite my continuous denial.

"What the fuck" He growled seeing the swelling in my feet. He gently moved his finger on my left foot.

"Aah," I hissed when he pressed it lightly.

"How did this happen?" He frowned. I didn't reply to him and kept my hand on his cheek.

"I'm fine"

"That's not the answer to my question," he snarled.

"It's normal in pregnancy," Marry replied to him. He nodded his head and looked at me before kissing my both feet. Tears of happiness blurred my vision. I rested my head on his chest.

"I have oil… You can apply it over her feet. She will feel better" Marry passed an oil to him.

"Thank you" he massaged my both feet lovingly.

"What happened? Why are you staring at me?" he asked when he caught me doing my favourite work. I nodded my head negatively and kissed his cheek.

"She is overwhelmed after seeing your love for her, Aaron" Marry chuckled and caressed my hair lovingly.

"I wish she would have loved him back in the same way" Patrick muttered in a low tone. I look at him, only to find hatred in his eyes for me.

"Beta Patrick, did you forget with whom mate you're messing with" Aaron said with a sneering smile. I kept my hand on his chest. He looked at my side.

"Please no," I said, not wanting him to fight with his best friend.

"Why did you call him beta instead of Alpha? '' I asked after a while. He looked at me dumb-headed.

"Sleep of tongue" He replied without looking into my eyes which was enough for me to know that he was hiding something for me.

"Aana, you're fortuitous to find a mate like Aaron. Not each man bowed down for their queen" Marry said, changing the topic. I nod my head while looking at my mate who was carefully massaging my feet. I didn't find it good to interrogate him further and rest my head on his chest.

"I think we should leave," Marry muttered and stood up while Patrick followed her.

"Where?" I asked.

"My alpha wants to have some quality time with her cheater mate, that's why he mindlink us to get out of this place" Patrick growled and went somewhere.

"Don't mind him... He uttered without thinking much" Marry chuckled to ease the situation.

"Teach your son to talk respectfully with my mate, otherwise next time, I won't think twice before ripping his tongue off," Aaron said dangerously.

"Aaron" I made him look at me and nod my head negatively. "He loves you that's why he is mad at me and he has every right to do so as my brother-in-law" Aaron smiled at my words.

"I take my words back... She is not fortuitous but you Aaron that you find her as your mate." Aunt muttered and went behind Patrick without waiting for Aaron's response. I looked back at my mate whose eyes were on me. He kissed my forehead and started massaging my feet seductively. I closed my eyes and bit my lower lip to control the moan.

"Don't" He grumbled. I opened my eyes and gawked at him when I felt his hardness poking my buttock.

"Let's continue what we were doing... My junior is giving me a hard time" I laughed at the choice of his words and nodded my head.

I opened my eyes when sun rays fell on my face, only to find myself in Aaron's arms. I smiled and covered his face with my head before the sun's rays disturbed his sleep. What surprised me was that we both were dressed up. He must have dressed me up after I slept and that's when I realised something. I had a good sleep without any sleeping pills and it's all because of him. I smiled and kissed his forehead.

"I hope we are not disturbing you both" I hurriedly sat straight upon hearing Marry's voice and then stood up feeling shy. My eyes went to Aaron who woke up with the noise and was looking at me lovingly.

"If you're done staring at her. Can we start travelling towards our pack," Marry teased him to which he smiled shamelessly and stood up.

"Mark on your neck, saying that you had an amazing night" I looked at Aaron's neck and my eyes widened seeing my nail mark over there. When he was teasing me last night with his fingers, I intentionally dug my nails into his skin to arouse him. "Indeed I had an amazing night with my mate" I gawked at him, widening my eyes.

"Shameless creature" I muttered and turned my face in another direction. I'm sure my face would have turned red because of embarrassment.

"My red tomato" He laughed seeing my face and pulled me into a hug. I hid my face in his chest while they all laughed seeing my reaction.

Patrick brought some apples for me which Aaron forcefully fed me as I didn't have anything last night. I hate apples and he knows it very well, still, he was forcing me to eat them by emotionally blackmailing me that it's for our baby.

"Did you ask those warriors who sent them?" Patrick asked Aaron after sitting beside him.

"I thought they were our warriors," Aaron muttered confusingly.

"If they were then you would have felt pain while killing them" Patrick scoffed.

"Whatever... I didn't ask them nor did I care" I raised my eyebrow upon hearing my mate's absurd reply.

"The attackers were intruders, Aaron," Patrick said.

"So what? I don't care who they are. They attacked my mate and I killed them. That's the end of the story for me"

"It must be from your enemy who wants to capture this pack" I muttered.

"That's not our matter, Aana" Aaron said, calling me Aana giving me a clear indication that he didn't want me to interfere. I nod my head and look at Patrick who is glaring at Aaron.

"You can kill them for the girl who cheated on you but you don't care about the pack where you grow up" Patrick growled and stood up.

"Grow up?" I repeated his words and looked at my mate who was eating an apple, unaffected by Patrick's words. There was no expression on his face. Don't know when I will solve this mystery of this wild pack and his connection.
