My sleep broke when Ryan was trying to mind link me.

"Aana… Are you okay?" He asked and by his voice, I can guess how worried he is for me. I turned my head and looked at my mate who was sleeping peacefully beside me while his one hand was on my stomach and one leg was between my legs. He embraced me in his arms like he wanted to protect me from this cruel world even when we were sleeping.

"Don't worry... I'm fine" I replied and kept my hand on Aaron's left cheek, caressing it with my thumb. "what can happen to me when my mate is there to protect me from everything"

"Are you coming for a session today?" I sighed, remembering the incident of last night. Thanks to Alice who didn't let anything bad happen. I can't even imagine what Aaron will do if something happens to me and Alice. He will become insane and then either he will destroy the whole world or himself. I can't take risks with my health again especially when I know how much he loves me.

"I will be there in an hour" I broke the mindlink and kissed Aaron's forehead before hopping down from the bed to get ready to visit the hospital where Ryan works. After leaving a note for Aaron that I'm going outside with some work, I directly drove towards the werewolf's hospital where Ryan worked.

I took a deep breath to calm my racing heart while looking at Ryan's cabin door, still not prepared to go inside and talk about my past with him.

"Aana please come inside" He muttered through mindlink. I sighed and went inside, only to find him standing at the door. He must be waiting for me to open the door after sensing my presence and when I didn't, he mindlinked me.

I tried my best to share with him what happened in the past but then I ended up having a panic attack and this time also I had a severe one. It took me almost six hours to gain consciousness because of the medicine Ryan gave me to calm my mind.

"Are you okay?" he asked when I opened my eyes.

"I'm fine" I muttered and thought to sit straight but then gave up the idea as I was feeling too weak even moving a finger.

"Alice" I looked at Ryan's side when she didn't respond to me.

"Medicine still had an effect on you and her." He said and pointed towards my hand. I followed his gaze and found rashes all over my arms.

"Fuck" I cursed as only one thought came to my mind, how Aaron is going to react after seeing rashes all over my body. he would get to know that I took the tablets and like yesterday, he will get mad at me.

"I'm sorry... I had to give you those medicine as you weren't calming and your condition was also getting worse with every passing second"

"You don't need to apologise," I muttered and started looking for my phone to call Aaron.

"What happened?"

"my phone... I told Aaron that I will be back in a few hours. He must be worried about me" He nodded his head and passed me his mobile. I look at the screen with dizzy eyes. I'm still not able to sleep despite sleeping for hours like a dead person. My eyes went to the notification and found 10 missed calls from Aaron's number.

"I told you he must be worried for me. I should go home"

"You're not okay, Aana"

"I'm fine... Don't worry"

"Yeah I can see how fine you're"

"I have to go home brother"

"You can't take a single step by yourself and want to go home for which you have to drive for almost an hour ." He scoffed. I sighed, realising he has a point. I can't drive like this when I'm barely able to open my eyes.

"I will be late at home. Don't wait for me" I message him, knowing if I call him then he will know that I'm not okay after hearing my voice.

"But where are you, Aana?" His reply came within a minute.

"Don't worry… I'm safe. It's just I'm busy" He called me after reading my message which I declined and switched off my mobile.

"What happened? Why didn't you pick up his call?" Ryan asked.

"I lied to him that I'm busy because if I tell him that I'm in the hospital then he will get worried and come here and I don't want to trouble him unnecessarily," I muttered. He nodded, understanding my worry.

"Sleep until Alice gets her energy back." I nod my head and close my eyes. It didn't take me long to doze off.

I found Ryan sleeping beside me when I opened my eyes after a few hours of sleep. I look around in search of the clock and my eyes widened when I realised it was already past midnight

"Fuck ...Aaron must be waiting for me" I immediately stood up and was about to go when Ryan hold my hand.

"What happened? Where are you going?"

"It's past midnight. Aaron must be worried for me. I have to go now" I muttered anxiously…

"Aana.. calm down. You messaged him and he will understand that you're busy"

"He understands me, but that doesn't mean I start using his love and trust for me to my advantage. He doesn't ask anything because he knows it's difficult for me to share everything with him. He loves me and I never want to take advantage of his trust and love even by mistake. I never want him to feel ignored or that I don't care about his time, love, care and his worry for me" I muttered, realising my hand from his hand.

"You won't listen to me, right?" he sighed in disappointment when I nodded my head negatively.

"Fine… You can go home but only on two conditions. First, I will drop you and second, you will take complete rest."

"I will and don't worry, I will manage"

"Aana" he interrupted me. "I'm not asking you but telling you as your big brother that I'm dropping you at your place."

"Okay," I smiled, feeling blessed to have a brother like him who is always present beside me to protect me…

"What are you doing?" Ryan growled and held my hand while driving with the other hand.

"These rashes," I muttered and started trying to release my hand from his grip to scratch my neck where I was feeling terrible irritation.

"the medicine seems to have the wrong side effects on you because of the overdose you used to take despite my denial" he snarled.

"When you reach home, apply the ointment I gave you and stop scratching because you're hurting yourself and I'm sure your mate will not like to smell blood oozing out of your body because of your harmless scratching." My eyes widened when I thought about Aaron's reaction... I can't even imagine how mad he will be at me when he sees my rash.

"No...No. no… If he comes to know about it then he will get to know that I took the medicine and after that not even the moon goddess will be able to save me from my monster warth" I muttered anxiously.

"Monster" I glared at him when he started laughing at me. "Stop laughing otherwise I will break all your teeth beta" I growled. He immediately shut his mouth while I started laughing seeing his reaction.

"What? Why are you staring at me?"

"Do you realise after a long time you called me your beta?" he asked, reminding me of my happy moments in the past.

"Remember how you always behave like a future Alpha and tell me that I will take Vince's place as he is going to become king after marrying you. You always make me do whatever you want by saying you're the future Alpha" Tears brimmed in my eyes.

"How can I forget the best moment of my life?"

"I started calling you Luna because your mate has a Lycan and in case we ever take our pack from Alexander then you both"

"There is no point in talking about the things that are never going to happen," I said, closing the topic and turning my head towards the window. It would be a lie if I say that I don't want my pack back but at the same time, I never want my past to cross my present… Never...
