Rex was still in control of my body walking in the forest like a hulk. He was pissed after seeing Aana's tears but at the same time, he didn't want to talk to Aana.

"Till when you will not talk to her. She is our mate, Rex" I asked when he sat on the ground near the lake.

"You can forgive her for what she did to us but I can't" he muttered and a tear rolled from his eyes.

"I didn't forget what she did but Rex"

"Because of her hiding habit, we lost Alice" He yelled, making me shut my mouth. I tightened my lips remembering the moment when we rejected her.

"We lost our Alice" he whimpered remembering all the moments we spent with her. He looks at his image in the river and remembers the moment when he came here with Alice in his wolf form and they both bath, cuddle, play, and spend memorable moments of their life.

"You only tell me how can I forget Aana when because of her we lose Alice." He whimpered. I closed my eyes, feeling his pain, remembering how drastically her behaviour changed towards us four days before my birthday when we were about to mark each other.

"You know you're torturing me and Rex by not letting us mark you" I groaned, licking her neck.

"Aaron" She moaned and clutched my hair. "I just want it to do something special on your birthday and what can be more special than letting you mark me as yours?" she asked, bringing a smile to my face because she is right. Nothing can be more precious for us than her and by marking her, we will claim her as ours.

"I love you" she moaned, turning our position.

"Aana" I moaned when she moved her wet core on my long hard dick.

"Today is my chance to take charge" She winked and adjusted my junior at her core to take me inside her.

After a long marathon in the morning, we both decided to take a shower separately as we know if we take a bath together then we both will end up making love to each other again. She joined me in the kitchen after taking a bath.

"What are you preparing?" She asked, holding her stomach.

"Chicken" I replied shortly and looked at her, only to find her eyes on me.

"What happened?" I asked.

"You are having me for four continuous days... Now have a break, my lady"

"What can I do where you're so irresistible?" she bit her lower lip.

"What has got into you?" I laughed trying my best to focus on cooking.

"I know you want to fuck me on this kitchen counter," She said and sat on the counter. I gulped when my eyes went on her bare long legs. She was wearing my shirt with shorts which was enough to give me a hard bone and the fact that Rex is a Lycan whose desire level is high is not helping me at all.

"Fuck" I cursed and was about to grab her thigh when she hopped down from the counter.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I--I have to drink water" She mumbled and went towards the fridge.

"Pearl… Are you okay?" I asked when I found her lost in her thoughts holding the door of the fridge. She was shivering but at the same time, sweating.

"Pearl '' I called her loudly when she didn't respond. She looked at me with devastating eyes.

"Where are you lost? Is everything fine?" I asked closing the stove.

"I'm fine... What will happen to me?" She laughed and held my hand. "You're with me and that's enough for me. I'm happy… I'm happy from the inside… Nothing is wrong with me." I scrunched my eyebrow not getting what she meant.

"Pearl… Calm down" I cupped her face and made her look into my eyes.

"Tell me, what happened? Did anyone say something to you?" Tears rolled from her eyes.

"I'm happy and fine... Right, Aaron?" She asked. Before I could have asked or said something, we heard her phone ringing. She parted away from me and looked at her phone.

"Ryan"

"Who is he?" She looked at me and then at her phone.

"It's not an important call" She cut the call and blocked that number, making me wonder who he is but I didn't ask because if it was important then she would have told me.

"I'm going to sleep," she mumbled.

"At this time?"

"Yeah.. feeling tired"

"Why is she lying to me?" I thought and observed her. She was not meeting her eyes with me and scratching the back of her hand anxiously. I hold her hand, stopping her from hurting herself.

"I told you not to do it" I frowned and kissed her both hands. She parted away from me.

"I need to rest"

"What about food?"

"I lost my appetite" She went to our room before I would have said something to her.

"Didn't you find her behaviour strange?" I nod my head at Rex's question and on the gas stove to resume cooking.

"Maybe we are overthinking and she is really tired," I replied.

"Are you fooling yourself or me?" He scoffed.

"I will ask her while having lunch" I muttered. After serving food for both of us on a plate, I went towards our room.

"You are not understanding, Ryan. I can't imagine what he will do after knowing everything." I stopped mid-way when I heard her. "No… He loves me and I'm sure he will never reject me just because someone else touches" she clamped up. I scrunched my eyebrow, not getting why she stopped the conversation in mid and soon I got my answer when she got out of the room.

"Alice would have sensed our presence" Rex muttered.

"I--I will ca--call you back" She stuttered and cut the call with a shivering hand.

"What happened? Why did you cut the call?" She didn't reply and went back to the room... I followed her and kept the tray on the side table.

"You didn't answer me, Pearl," I asked, getting worried for her.

"I'm not obliged to tell you everything, Aaron. you're my mate but I had my personal life as well" She said and took out some tablets from the medicine box. She was about to take them when I held her hand.

"What kind of medicine are you taking?" I asked and snatched the tablet from her hand. I glared at her after reading the name of the tablet on the package. She was about to take freaking panic tablets which had a severe effect on her and Alice.

"Why the fuck you were taking this tablet?" I growled. She didn't answer me and went outside the room. I too followed her but then she locked herself in another room.

"About whom she was talking?" Rex growled in jealousy.

"For me, her health is more important than asking this stupid question. We heard only half conversation and we both know half information is more dangerous than harsh truth"

"You're right... And I wasn't doubting her but worried for her. What if someone misbehaved with her when we were outside of town?"

"If there was such a thing, she would have shared it with us." I shrugged my shoulders.

"Then about what she is talking on the phone and who is this Ryan?" I can feel Rex is jealous.

"You know she loves us. So stop getting jealous" I muttered.

"Telling the person who is burning in fire after finding Aana talking to another man" He mocked me.

"Okay… I accept that feelings are mutual... I'm jealous because she is sharing her feelings with someone else who is not us." I frowned and then looked at the door. If there was such a thing, she would have shared it with us. I thought of knocking on the door but then gave up on this idea, thinking of giving her some alone time.

"The major question is not with whom she is talking" I muttered.

"Then?"

"The question is what happened to her all of a sudden and what she is hiding from us?"
