"Pearl" I held her hand and kissed her palm. She looked at me, widening her eyes because I called her by the name I gave her.

"You called me, Pearl?" She asked with a smile but then her smile vanished.

"It must be accidental," she muttered, remembering the incident a while ago. I nod my head negatively.

"No it does not skip from my mouth accidentally and Yes, I called you Pearl because now I don't want to waste time on holding grudges, instead I will prefer to hold you in my arms until my last breath"

"Are you okay?'' I look at her dumbstruck. She was asking me if I'm okay or not when she herself was lying in bed. I nod my head negatively and tears stream down from my eyes.

"I got scared," I muttered. She extended her arms, indicating to me to hug her and I didn't waste a second to do it. I hugged her and hid my face in the crook of her neck. It would be a lie if I say this incident didn't affect me because it did in a worse way.

"I've never been so scared in my entire life as I was a while ago at the thought of losing you, Pearl," I said and cried my heart out. She caressed my hair lovingly and let me out what I had inside. Maybe she also felt the pain I'm going through. After a while, I broke the hug and looked at her, only to find her eyes on me. She wiped my tears lovingly and kissed my forehead.

I was looking at Aaron who was roaming his eyes all over my face like he was making sure that I'm alright. I smiled and cupped his face before kissing his forehead again.

"I'm absolutely fine, Aaron," I whispered and attached my lips to his, trying to calm him. Not knowing whether it would work now or not, before whenever he used to get furious, I used to calm him with kisses but everything has changed.

I broke the kiss when he didn't respond and found his eyes closed like he was lost in something. Smile faded from my lips, realising that now I didn't affect him the way I used to do.

"Why did you stop?" My eyes widened with his sudden question. He opened his eyes to peer into my eyes.

"I--I thought you di--didn't like it," I stammered.

"When you will stop overthinking, Pearl" He joined his forehead with mine.

"Only I knew how much you and your presence mean to me and I love everything about you... Your touch, your kiss, everything" He confessed before attaching his lips to mine leaving me stunned. I was thinking he doesn't love me but he expressed through his words and kisses that he still loves me in the same way he used to do. Despite everything that happened between us, he loves me.
